저상 및 고상 철도 승강장 겸용 승강문 제어유닛과 열차모니터링시스템의 인터페이스 설계 (A Design on the TMS-DCU Interface for Low and High Level Railway Platforms)

  • In order to operate trains both mainline railroad platform and metropolitan subway line platform, it is necessary to develop the door step equipment of the rolling stock regardless of low(500mm, mainline) and high level platforms(1,135mm, metropolitan subway line) because of the requisite door safety system. In this study, TMS-DCU interface is studied for low and high level railway platforms. As a result, Design circuit of TMS(Train Management System)-DCU(Door Control Unit) interface is suitable for telescopic sliding type doorstep unit to minimize damage to the carbody underframe of railway vehicles.

Improvement of Mobile U-health Service System Using Feces and Urine Sensing U-Care Scheme

  • This paper presents a novel method to design and implement mobile u-health system by defining the essential elements of mobile healthcare services. We choose common service elements for the proposed u-healthcare scheme and design the service platform. Especially we focus on automatic feces or urine sensing u-care scheme to prove the effectiveness of our platform. We construct the system with sensing part with a manikin and a diaper, wireless communication part with feces or urine sensing data, and coordinator system based on the u-health platform defined in this paper. Experimental results show that our scheme is useful in the area of u-care service for the handicapped, the elderly, and patients who can hardly move by themselves. In addition the designed scheme offers a realized u-care scheme with the purpose of advanced developing tools for application or service developers.

  • 제안된 u-health 서비스 플랫폼은 바이오 데이터 채집과 저장, 그리고 바이오 데이터 분석 및 결과 통보의 일련의 과정을 모바일u-health 서비스 프로세스로 해석하였다. 모바일 환경에서 건강관리 시스템 구축을 지원하는 서비스 플랫폼은 모바일 u-health 응용 서비스를 쉽게 탑재하여 운영할 수 있도록 설계 되었으며, 서비스 플랫폼의 효용성 및 유용성을 고려함으로써 u-health 사용 서비스의 기틀을 마련하였다.

  • We propose an estimator design method of Stewart platform, which gives the 6DOF, positions and velcities of Stewart platform from the measured cylinder length. The solution of forward kinematics is not solved yet as a useful realtime application tool because of the complexity of the equation with multiple solutions. Hence we suggest an nonlinear estimator for the forward kinematics solution using Luenberger observer with nonlinear error correction term. But the way of residual gain selection of the estimator is not clear, so we suggest an algebraic Riccati equation for gain matrix using Lyapunov method. This algorithm gives the sufficient condition of the stability of error dynamics and can be extended to general nonlinear system.

  • Stabilized tracking platform in a missile consisting of a flat planar antenna, pitch/yaw gimbals, gear trains, and current controlled DC drive motors for pitch and yaw gimbal must have a capability to track a target as an inertial sensor in the presence of missile body motion such as maneuvering and vibration.   • Near-Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range wireless communication technology evolved from RFID especially for the exchange of data between active and passive devices. This paper presents the mathematical models for the signal path of a NFC transceiver system and a behavioral simulation platform using MATLAB simulink. The approximated mathematical models simplify the simulation complexity of a transceiver and provide a quick evaluation. With this calculation platform, we can evaluate the system performance caused by the noise and the non-linearity of the individual blocks, and caused by system variables such as Effective Number of Bits (ENOB) of ADC and filter cutoff frequency. This platform provides us with a rapid prototyping, a reliable system design, and an efficient risk management during development of the NFC transceiver ICs.

  • Recently the electrostatic 2-axis MEMS stages have been fabricated for the purpose of an application to PSD (Probe-based Storage Device). However, all of the components(platform, comb electrodes, springs, anchors, etc.) in those stages are placed in-plane so that they have low areal efficienceis, which is undesirable as data storage devices. In this paper, we present a novel structure of an electrostatic 2-axis MEMS stage that is characterized by having large area platform. for obtaining large area efficiency, the actuator part consisting of mainly comb electrodes and springs is placed right below the platform. The structure and operational principle of the MEMS stage are described, followed by a design procedure, structural and modal analyses using FEM(Finite Element Method). The areal efficiency of the MEMS stage was designed to be about 25%, which is very large compared with the conventional ones having a few percentage.

  • COMS satellite is a multipurpose satellite in the geostationary orbit, which accommodates multiple payloads of Meteorological Imager, Geostationary Ocean Color Imager and Ka band Satellite Communication Payload in a single spacecraft platform. In this paper, current status of Korea's first geostationary Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellte(COMS) program development is introduced. The satellite platform is based on the Astrium EUROSTAR 3000 communication satellite, but creatively combined with MARS Express satellite platform to accommodate three different payloads efficiently for COMS. The system design difficulties are in the different kinds of payload mission requirements of communication and remote sensing purposes and how to combine them into a single satellite to meet the overall satellite requirements. The COMS satellite critical design has been accomplished successfully to meet three different mission payloads. The platform is in Korea, KARI facility for the system integration and test. The expected launch target of COMS satellite is scheduled in June 2009.

  • With the emergence of a new paradigm called Open Science and Big Data, the need for data sharing and collaboration is also emerging in the computational science field. This paper, we analyzed data-driven research cases for computational science by field; material design, bioinformatics, high energy physics. We also studied the characteristics of the computational science data and the data management issues. To manage computational science data effectively it is required to have data quality management, increased data reliability, flexibility to support a variety of data types, and tools for analysis and linkage to the computing infrastructure. In addition, we analyzed trends of platform technology for efficient sharing and management of computational science data. The main contribution of this paper is to review the various computational science data repositories and related platform technologies to analyze the characteristics of computational science data and the problems of data management, and to present design considerations for building a future computational science data platform.

협력학습을 위한 소셜러닝 플랫폼의 설계 (Design of Social Learning Platform for Collaborative Study)

  • 소셜러닝은 미래 지식정보사회의 새로운 학습모델로 기존의 학습과 달리 개인의 능동성과 타인과의 협력학습을 중시한다. 협력학습을 위한 소셜러닝 플랫폼 구축에 기존 소셜미디어 서비스를 활용하는 것이 유용하다. 본 논문에서는 기존 소셜미디어 서비스 및 소셜플랫폼을 조사분석하여 소셜미디어 서비스를 활용한 효과적인 소셜러닝 플랫폼을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 새로운 소셜러닝 플랫폼의 구조 및 설계화면을 통해 소셜러닝 플랫폼의 동작 방법과 다른 소셜 플랫폼에 비해 차이점과 우수성을 제시하고자 한다.
