쉴드 터널 세그먼트 라이닝의 내진설계를 위한 신뢰성해석 (Reliability analysis for design of shield tunnel segment lining under earthquake load)

  • 지중 구조물의 한계상태설계를 위한 설계 기준이 해외에서는 이미 발표된 바 있고 국내에서도 설계법 개정을 위한 연구가 수행되고 있다. 지진 시 파괴확률을 추정하기 위해서는 신뢰성 분석에서 확률변수를 고려해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 국내 지반 확률 특성치를 고려한 토압에 대한 변동계수와 지진하중 효과에 대한 변동계수를 적용하여 기존 쉴드 터널 설계 단면에 대한 지진 시 파괴확률을 계산하였다. 산정된 파괴확률로부터 신뢰도지수(β)를 산정하고 하중 계수의 변화에 따른 신뢰도지수를 분석한 결과와 국내외 연구결과를 토대로 쉴드 터널 세그먼트 라이닝의 지진 시 목표 신뢰도지수(βT)는 2.3이 합리적인 것으로 분석되어, 지진 시 한계상태설계를 위한 목표 신뢰도 지수로 제안하였다.

개념 설계 평가를 위한 제품 품질지수 (Product Quality Index for Concept Design Evaluation)

  • A product system will be improved continually until requirements are satisfied. It is true that considering alternative designs to improve product system is hard work; it is also true that selecting an adequate design idea that represents the needs of stakeholders concerned and meets effectiveness factors properly is not an easy work, either. In the process of driv-ing an idea and designing, which is called Design Phase, there are lots of existing tools for testing the driven idea in DFSS. But, those kinds of tools do not offer the function that helps to select the technically better design idea among alternative design ideas that have the same evaluation level. Moreover it is inappropriate to select adequate alternative design ideas by just verifying only the evaluation table in pugh matrix, since satisfied deviation val-ues are low when there is a too competitive mass product system in a market. Also, for the IT product with short life cycle, faster and more effective testing tool is needed. Therefore, the 'roduct quality index' is suggested in order to select an appropriate candidate design concept for system development that meets requirements by using 'deality concept' pro-vided by TRIZ. According to the result of this research, it is possible to select technically better idea fast and effectively; it is confirmed by applying the approach to the case of LCD BLU (Back Light Unit).

강도설계용 풍하중 평가를 위한 재현기간과 기본풍속지도의 제안 (Proposal of Return Period and Basic Wind Speed Map to Estimate Wind Loads for Strength Design in Korea)

  • Strength design wind loads for the wind resistance design of structures shall be evaluated by the product of wind loads calculated based on the basic wind speed with 100 years return period and the wind load factor 1.3 specified in the provisions of load combinations in Korean Building Code (KBC) 2016. It may be sure that the wind load factor 1.3 in KBC(2016) had not been determined by probabilistic method or empirical method using meteorological wind speed data in Korea. In this paper, wind load factors were evaluated by probabilistic method and empirical method. The annual maximum 10 minutes mean wind speed data at 69 meteorological stations during past 40 years from 1973 to 2012 were selected for this evaluation. From the comparison of the results of those two method, it can be found that the mean values of wind load factors calculated both probability based method and empirical based method were similar at all meteorological stations. When target level of reliability index is set up 2.5, the mean value of wind load factors for all regions should be presented about 1.35. When target level of reliability index is set up 3.0, wind load factor should be presented about 1.46. By using the relationship between importance factor(conversion factor for return period) and wind load factor, the return periods for strength design were estimated and expected wind speeds of all regions accounting for strength design were proposed. It can be found that return period to estimate wind loads for strength design should be 500 years and 800 years in according to target level of reliability index 2.5 and 3.0, respectively. The 500 years basic wind speed map for strength design was suggested and it can be used with a wind load factor 1.0.

투과 및 반사율 측정을 이용한 염료감응태양전지의 유효 굴절률 모델링 (Effective Refractive Index of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell Using Transmittance and Reflectance Measurements)

  • Optical modeling and characterization of transparent dye-sensitized solar cells (DSC) are presented to design and estimate DSC devices numerically. In order to model the inhomogeneous active layer of DSC, the porous structure of titanium oxide ($TiO_2$) and dye mixture, we prepared films consisting of layer by layer of the DSC's basic materials sequentially, and characterized the optical parameters of the films with the effective refractive index, which was extracted from the transmittance and reflectance measurements in ultra violet to near infra-red range. By using the effective refractive index, we made the optical model for DSC, and demonstrated that the optical model based on effective refractive index can be used to design and evaluate the performance of transparent-type DSC modules.

  • 최적설계는 일반적으로 주어진 설계에 적용할 경제성평가기법을 필요로 한다. 본 연구에서는 선박용 발전장치 설계에 적용되는 경제성평가방법을 제시하였다. 가능한 발전 장치들에 대하여 그 투자액의 회수기간과 순현가를 경제성 지수화 하고 또, 그 설계된 장치의 운전상의 난이도를 평가하여 지수화 하고 이 지수들을 종합하여 종합경제성평가지수를 산출하여 이 지수로 발전장치 선정의 기준으로 삼도록 하였다. 이 방법을 실선의 설계에 적용하여 유용성을 보였다.

한계상태설계를 위한 단일 쇄석다짐말뚝의 목표신뢰도지수 (Target Reliability Index of Single Gravel Compaction Piles for Limit State Design)

  • 목표신뢰도지수는 한계상태설계법에서 안전여유의 지표가 되며, 부분계수를 결정하는데 있어 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 한계상태설계법에서 필요로 하는 목표신뢰도지수의 결정을 위하여 쇄석다짐말뚝이 적용된 6개소의 설계-시공사례를 조사하였다. 쇄석다짐말뚝의 주요 파괴모드인 팽창파괴에 대한 한계상태함수를 정의하고, 일계신뢰성해석법(FORM)을 이용하여 극한지지력, 이론식별, 신뢰도수준을 평가하였다. 현행 쇄석다짐말뚝의 신뢰도지수는 허용응력설계법에 의해 산정된 안전율과 비례하는 경향을 보였으며, 평균 신뢰도지수는${\beta}$=2.30으로 평가되었다. 신뢰성해석에 의해 평가된 신뢰도 수준과 기존 구조물 기초에 대한 목표신뢰도지수를 비교 분석한바, 쇄석다짐말뚝 기초는 말뚝기초 및 얕은기초에 비하여 비교적 낮은 안정성 수준이 요구되며, 쇄석다짐말뚝의 현재 신뢰도수준은 보강토옹벽, 쏘일네일링에서 제안된 목표신뢰도지수와 유사한 범위를 보이므로 쇄석다짐말뚝의 목표신뢰도지수를 ${\beta}_T$= 2.33으로 제안하였다.

반응표면법을 이용한 평행류 열교환기의 형상 최적화 (Optimal Shape of a Parallel-Flow Heat Exchanger by Using a Response Surface Method)

  • The heat and flow characteristics in a single-phase parallel-flow heat exchanger was examined numerically to obtain its optimal shape. A response surface method was introduced to approximately predict its performance with respect to the design parameters over the design domain. The inflow/outflow angle of the working fluid, the location of inlet/outlet, the protruding height of flat tube and the height of header were chosen as a design parameter The evaluation of the relative importance of the design parameters was performed based on a sensitivity analysis. An efficiency index was used as an evaluation characteristics value to simultaneously consider both the heat transfer and the pressure drop. The efficiency index of the optimum model, compared to that of the base model, was increased by 9.3%.

전구 자동화 생산기계용 바렐 캠의 형상설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design of Barrel Cam for Automatic Bulb Production Machine)

  • A barrel cam is used as a very important part of an index drive unit. The index drive unit must have an intermittent-rotational motion. The barrel typed cam and roller gear mechanism has the advantages of high reliability to perform a prescribed motion of a follower. This paper proposes a new method for the shape design of the barrel cam and also a CAD program is developed by using the proposed method. As defined in this paper, the relative velocity method for the shape design calculates the relative velocity of the follower versus cam at a center of roller, and then detemines a contact point by using the geometric relationships and the kinematic constraints, where the direction of the relative velocity must be parallel to a common tangential line at the contact point of two independent bodies, i.e. the cam and the follower. Then, the shape of the cam is defined by the coordinate transformation of the trace of the contact points. This paper presents shape design of the barrel cam in order to prove the accuracy of the proposed methods

Comprehensive evaluation method for user interface design in nuclear power plant based on mental workload

  • Mental workload (MWL) is a major consideration for the user interface design in nuclear power plants (NPPs). However, each MWL evaluation method has its advantages and limitations, thus the evaluation and control methods based on multi-index methods are needed. In this study, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) theory was adopted for assessment of interface designs in NPP based on operators' MWL. An evaluation index system and membership functions were established, and the weights were given using the combination of the variation coefficient and the entropy method. The results showed that multi-index methods such as performance measures (speed of task and error rate), subjective rating (NASA-TLX) and physiological measure (eye response) can be successfully integrated in FCE for user interface design assessment. The FCE method has a correlation coefficient compared with most of the original evaluation indices. Thus, this method might be applied for developing the tool to quickly and accurately assess the different display interfaces when considering the aspect of the operators' MWL.

굴절률 분포에 따른 박막 실리콘 태양전지 반사방지막 설계기술 연구 (The Study on the Antireflection(AR) Coating Design Scheme According to the Index Profile in the Thin-Film Silicon Solar Cell)

  • 본 논문에서는 향후 태양전지 반사방지막에 적용여부를 알기 위하여 굴절률 분포에 따른 반사방지막의 성능을 분석하였다. 기존논문에서 제시되었던 1차, 3차 및 5차 함수의 굴절률 분포를 6층 구조의 두께 180 nm 반사방지막에 적용하고 각 굴절률 분포에 대한 반사율을 계산하고 비교하였다. 또한 새로운 구배형 굴절률(graded index) 구조를 제안하였고, 제안한 구조와 기존의 1차, 3차 및 5차 함수의 반사율과 비교하였다. 그 결과로써, 굴절률 분포가 고차 함수로 갈수록 반사율이 대체적으로 감소하였고, 구배형 굴절률 분포의 경우는 짧은 파장대(500 nm ~ 700 nm 이하)에서는 1차, 3차 및 5차 함수보다 더 높은 반사율을 보였고, 긴 파장대(700 nm 이상 ~ 800 nm)에서는 더 낮은 반사율을 보였다. 따라서 긴 파장대에서는 구배형 굴절률 분포가 기존의 1차, 3차, 5차 함수인 경우보다 더 좋은 반사방지막이 될 수 있다는 것을 발견했고, 이 결과는 긴 적색 가시광선에서 적외선 영역에 적용되는 광소자 및 광필터에 적용 가능하리라 판단된다.
