The research want to know about form creation method's special quality that found in digital construction design process that using digital media, and they comparison analysis that who positive using digital media, Frank O. Gehry, Peter Eisenman, Greg Lynn, UN studio's work. First, In digital design process using digital media is make full use to design unfolding step and application way can change by architect's recognition difference of using digital media and each architect's design general idea unfolding process, and it means form creation process can change. Second, In digital design process a building form doesn't design adaptation to construction system, they directly design the third dimension form. So, they deduction a new form that unification and integration. Third, the architect that appear's in digital design process's part is existing, data from position of the master which it selects the coding selects the outcome goods which appears in computer operation with coordinator role of the originality and construction sense which it is visible.

A numerical investigation was performed to determine the effect of airfoil on the optimum flap height using NACA 00XX and 44XX airfoils. The six flaps which have 0.5% chord height difference were selected . A Navier-Stokes code, FLUENT, was used to calculate the flow field of the airfoil. The code was first tested as a benchmark by modelling flow around a NACA 4412 airfoil. Predictions of local pressure coefficients are found to be in good agreement with the result of the experimental results. For every NACA 00XX and 44XX airfoil, flap heights ranging from 0.0% to 2.5% chord were changed by 0.5% chord interval and their effects were also studied. Representative results from each case are presented graphically and discussed. It is conclued that this initial approach gives an idea for the future development of the wind turbine optimum design.
The subdivision surface is the limit of recursively refined polyhedral mesh. It is quite intuitive that the multi-resolution feature can be utilized to simplify generation of NC (Numerical Control) tool paths for rough machining. In this paper, a new method of parallel NC tool path generation for subdivision surfaces is presented. The basic idea of the method includes two steps: first, extending G-Buffer to a strip buffer (called S-Buffer) by dividing the working area into strips to generate NC tool paths for objects of large size; second, generating NC tool paths by parallel implementation of S-Buffer based on MPI (Message Passing Interface). Moreover, the recursion depth of the surface can be estimated for a user-specified error tolerance, so we substitute the polyhedral mesh for the limit surface during rough machining. Furthermore, we exploit the locality of S-Buffer and develop a dynamic division and load-balanced strategy to effectively parallelize S-Buffer.
Changing depends on the one and only out of many design elements constituting the outside, and a Lighting design has an easy characteristic among space. Therefore accuse various sensitivity to watch when lighted up the same environment with Lighting of other colors, and it is an interesting point to show a communication tendency of a Lighting design in the present age escape from a general idea transmit a change of sight to a man of experience directly, and to clarify space simply, and to show various power of expression. The study of a book tried to make a searching examination for a generation cause of this tendency by trying to observe the modern Lighting design tendency that various desires were reflected in of the modern society in various general ideas of communication.
Capstone design is a very important college course that enhances students' creativity and skills. However, in most universities, the operation of capstone design is operated by the experience and intuition of the advisor, and it is somewhat lacking in the generation of useful results such as patent rights and technology start-up from the capstone design result. In this study, we proposed a performance - based capstone design operation model through patent linkage so that the capstone design class can create creative and useful results. The proposed operating model includes support for research on prior art of patent information utilization, patent right of idea, and technology commercialization. The proposed operating model was directly applied to the capstone design class in the university, and it was confirmed that useful results such as expansion of the scope of the research achievement and technology start - up were created compared to the existing operation model.
The aims of the study are first, in other to meet the demand for a new product design process, to review the prototype theory and to find out the conceptual structure of product aesthetics, which is another properly thought to be as important as the typical pattern in an effort to patch up the theory second to help designers overcome the limits of idea generation and create consumer oriented designs with a high success rate by setting up a new product design process that is established through the application of the aesthetically influential factor 'proportion'based on the preceeding studies that tested product aesthetics measuring devices. In other words, this study tries to find out product categories, making use of the prototype theory to introduce an ideal proportion for product design, recognizing the importance of proportion by conducting product pattern analysis: to create a differentiated method that can product consumer oriented designs, even if it only manipulate proportion and to establish a new design process that can systematically explain the methodology for various form generation that applies proportion. This study reviews the theoretical aspects of concepts pertaining to the above … and, based on them, empirically tests them by patting to use the programs, for proportion manipulation. This study was conducted in the following way: To begin with, this study takes out proportion out of some aesthetically influential factors that has a great impact on the way consumers prefer certain product designs and tries to see how proportion affects the consumer preference when consumers select a product. In addition, we could analyze the difference between the ideal proportion that consumers prefer and the traditional golden proportion produced through theoretical studies. The correlations between preferred proportion and ideal proportion, and preferred proportion and golden proportion could be shown. In order that we may create form variations through more detailed proportion manipulation on the basis of the ideal proportion verified as preferable, we again applied the proportion factor to the process utilizing PDS(proportion Distortion System). In the way the restraint of form generation could be pursued. All in all, this study makes an attempt to set up a design process to create new product forms through the application of Proportion.
Purpose Through the provision of real time performance information about who is contributing and who is not in Electronic Brainstorming, prior studies evidenced a significant performance gain. However, it has been observed that the quantity-based performance feedback alone does not have enough restrictiveness to guide the performance behavior throughout the idea generation session. We included the notion of goal setting into the process performance feedback mechanism in an effort to regulate performance behavior and to better understand why individuals in Electronic Brainstorming are not obtaining enough stimulation benefits in the group interaction process. Design/methodology/approach We had developed real-time visual process performance feedback and modified to include goal setting. This mechanism visually displays individuals' performances two-dimensionally (quality for each idea vertically and quantity of ideas horizontally along with their goals). As individuals' contributions accumulate, the mechanism reveals performance histories by connecting the sequence of ideas in a time-series format, telling stories of individuals' performances. Then, we compared the performance outcome from this study with the outcomes from two prior studies (i.e., Jung et al., 2010 and Jung, 2014). Findings The results showed that the inclusion of goal setting into the process performance feedback solved the issue in the previous study. That was the lower than expected magnitude of performance enhancement of process performance feedback when compared to that of quantity-based feedback. It appears that goals as a motivational technique provide standards for systematic self-evaluation, serving as a cue to regulate performance behavior by strengthening the linkage between effort and performance. Thus, goals seem to set up a self-fulfilling prophecy, preconditioning better performance. However, the outcome still showed that its performance magnitude is unsatisfactory because the outcome of this study turned out to be close to the outcome of just quantity-based performance feedback in Jung et al.'s (2010) study.
A well-designed mesh shape of the cable net is of essential significance to achieve high performance of cable-network antenna reflectors. This paper is concerned with the mesh design problem for such antenna reflector structure. Two new methods for creating the topological forms of the cable net are first presented. Among those, the cyclosymmetry method is useful to generate different polygon-faceted meshes, while the topological mapping method is suitable for acquiring triangle-faceted meshes with different mesh grid densities. Then, the desired spatial paraboloidal mesh geometrical configuration in the state of static equilibrium is formed by applying a simple mesh generation approach based on the force density method. The main contribution of this study is that a general technical guide for how to create the connectivities between the nodes and members in the cable net is provided from the topological point of view. With the new idea presented in this paper, multitudes of mesh configurations with different net patterns can be sought by a certain rule rather than by empiricism, which consequently gives a valuable technical reference for the mesh design of this type of cable-network structures in the engineering.
This research, we will begin our analysis of the types of research example of designers by the linguistic studies of products form. Specially, we had a mind to generate the linguistic concept of products form by the linguistic relations between tools and thinking, and analysed how activate the roles of form language in linguistic and non-linguistic areas. We understood the relations of design process about idea generation, same means of interpretation of form and the generation of form concept, by using of the roles of form language made in design process. We showed the research examples of Enzo Mari and the origins of form language in view point of design history. Also, we classified the form linguistic concerns of designers and scholars interested in design areas by dividing various factors in view point of language. Finally, through the process of this classification, the researches of form language call for further study, as more the examples of detailed design practises and the individualized form language of products than systematic researches and abstract theories about products, and emphasized this viewpoint, we suggest a going-on research theme, the individualized products' differences of form language and concerns viewpoint of inter-culture, the concept generation of form language of products can be inter-coexistent.

The research focused quantitative comparisons of protocols occurring in the architectural massing process using two different tools, three-dimensional(3D) modeler and traditional design tools, to aid architectural massing education. Through the protocol analysis from some experiments, the research identified the following conclusions: 1) Usage of traditional tools produced much higher protocol rate in proposing solution, evaluating proposed solution, explicitness of strategies. This result seemed to be from convenience of traditional tools causing faster visual cognitive cycle. 2) Usage of 3D modeler produced much higher protocol rate concerning attempts of making design vocabulary. The result indicated 3D modeler has relatively effective functions for mass generation and orientation, however it still has some weaknesses on display interface which cause designer's lower idea generations compared to traditional design tools.
