발전기 과열기의 증기 온도 제어기 설계 (Steam Temperature Controller Design of Power Plant Superheater)

  • In this paper, we present a method of fuzzy controller design for the power plant superheater in the form of bilinear system. For the steam temperature control, the input variables are constructed by the area of difference between the profiles estimated from bilinear observer and reference profiles, and the time rate of change. We estimate the control rules by T. Takagi and M. Sugeno's fuzzy model. The feasibilities of the suggested method are illustrated via the computer simulation result.

  • The focus of this study is on the problem of the design of structure of undetermined topology. This problem has been regarded as being the most challenging of structural optimization problems, because of the difficulty of allowing topology to change. Conventional approaches break down when element sizes approach to zero, due to stiffness matrix singularity. In this study, a novel nonlinear Programming formulation of the topology Problem is developed and examined. Its main feature is the ability to account for topology variation through zero element sizes. Stiffness matrix singularity is avoided by embedding the equilibrium equations as equality constraints in the optimization problem. Although the formulation is general, two dimensional plane elasticity examples are presented. The design problem is to find minimum weight of a plane structure of fixed geometry but variable topology, subject to constraints on stress and displacement. Variables are thicknesses of finite elements, and are permitted to assume zero sizes. The examples demonstrate that the formulation is effective for finding at least a locally minimal weight.

Design and Implementation of Video File Structure Analysis Tool for Detecting Manipulated Video Contents

  • The various video recording device, like car black box and cctv, are used currently and video contents are used as evidence of traffic accidents and scenes of crime. To verify integrity of video content, there are various study on manipulated video content analysis. Among these studies, a study based on analysis of video file structure and its variables needs a tool which can be used to analyze file structure and extract interested attributes. In this paper, we proposed design and implementation of an analyzing tool which visualizes video file structure and its attributes. The proposed tool use a model which reflects commonality of various video container format, so it is available to analyze video structure with regardless of the video file types. And the tool specifies interested file structure properties in XML and therefore we can change target properties easily without modification of the tool.

자동차 현가장치의 적응제어를 위한 feedback 시스템의 성능감도 해석 (Performance sensitivity analysis of feedback system for adaptive control of a vehicle suspension)

  • A linear quarter model of a vehicle suspension system is built and simulated. Especially the so-called sensitivity analysis is conducted in order to show its applicability to design problems, and sensitivity function is determined in the frequency domain. The change of frequency response function is predicted, which depends on the design parameter variation and the property is verified by computer simulation. Typical performance measures, namely, sprung mass acceleration, suspension deflection, and tire deflection are examined. The vehicle model is analyzed for ist performance sensitivity as a function of the system's feedback gains. The variable feedback gains are selected as the spring and damping coefficients. Frequency response, RMS response, and performance index of the performance evaluation variables are considered and three-dimensional and contour plots of response surfaces are formed to examine output sensitivity to suspension feedback. Performance trade-offs over the entire frequency spectrum are identified from the FRF, and that between ride quality and handling characteristics are examined from the RMS responses.

  • 본 논문에서는 쌍선형 시스템으로 표현되는 화력발전소 과열기에 대한 퍼지 제어기법을 제안한다. 증기온도를 제어하기 위하여 쌍선형 관측기로부터 얻어진 추정값과 기준값의 오차면적과 시간 변화율을 고려하여 입력변수를 구성하고, T. Takagi와 M. Sugeno의 퍼지모델을 기반으로 제어규칙을 추론하였다. 제안된 방법의 유용성은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과에 의해서 검증하였다.

  • Computer simulation is essential to design the suspension elements of railway vehicle. By computer simulation, engineers can assess the feasibility of the given design factors and change them to get a better design. But if one wishes to perform complex analysis on the simulation, such as railway vehicle dynamic, the computational time can become overwhelming. Therefore, many researchers have used a surrogate model that has a regression model performed on a data sampling of the simulation. In general, metamodels(surrogate model) take the form y($\chi$)=f($\chi$)+$\varepsilon$, where y($\chi$) is the true output, f($\chi$) is the metamodel output, and is the error. In this paper, a second order polynomial equation is used as the RSM(response surface model) for high speed train that have twenty-nine design variables and forty-six responses. After the RSM is constructed, multi-objective optimal solutions are achieved by using a nonlinear programming method called VMM(variable matric method) This paper shows that the RSM is a very efficient model to solve the complex optimization problem.

초·중등학생을 위한 디자인적 사고기반의 STEAM교육 프로그램의 효과 (Effect of Design Thinking-based STEAM Program for Primary and Secondary Students)

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of design thinking-based STEAM program for primary and secondary students. The design thinking-based STEAM program dealt with advanced scientific technology issues and it consisted of 8 topics. A questionnaire was developed to explore the change of Science concept awareness, Interest, Self-efficacy, Career consciousness of students through the program. The questionnaire consisted of following 4 areas, such as 'Science concept awareness', 'Interest', 'Career consciousness' and 'Self efficacy'. Pre-post test was conducted to 75 primary and secondary students. As a result of analyzing post-test compared to pre-test, 'Science concept awareness', 'Career consciousness' and 'Self efficacy' of students were improved. And the 'Interest' wasn't changed significantly. Through this research, it can be suggested that the design thinking-based STEAM program can be useful at school education to improve the Science concept awareness, Career consciousness and Self-efficacy of primary and secondary students. It is also proposed that further research of the various areas of interest and other affective variables will be needed.

고속전철의 와전류 제동장치 동적 최적화 연구 (An Optimization of Dynamic Elements for Eddy Current Braking System of High Speed Train)

  • Dynamic behavior of high speed train is very important because the high speed train should be safe and satisfied with the ride comfort. An eddy current brake system is mounted on trailer bogie and wheelset. The eddy current braking force longitudinally exerts on the articulated trailer bogie and the attraction force vertically exerts on the wheelset. Because a frame of eddy current brake system is flexible, these forces generate the vertical vibration at middle point of the frame. Also, the vibration change the vertical clearance between an electromagnet and top of rail which affect the magnitude of braking and attracting forces. Therefore, the dynamic behavior of the eddy current braking system must be predicted for design the dynamic characteristic of its mounting system when normally operate on rail which have irregularity. Vampire program is used for prediction of the dynamic behavior of an eddy current braking system. Five design variables and five performance index are considered for optimization through D-optimal experimental design in this paper. Also model center is used to search the optimal point for sum of performance index with variational matric method.

위성안테나 브레켓의 최적설계 (Optimum Design of Bracket for Satellite Antenna)

  • Major concern in modern industry is how to reduce the time and cost for product efficient production. Among many mechanical parts of a satellite, bracket plays an important role to support the load when the satellite is launched to space. so enough strength and stiffness. A designer could add unnecessary material and strength it so as not to fail when it used. But if mechanical part of satellite is over-designed, cost will rise and it also goes against to the aim of lightness. To achieve lightness and enough strength and stiffness, optimization algorithm should be introduced in design process. In this study, conceptual design of bracket is carried out to increase the performance of satellite. Some parameter which could change the weight of this part are selected as design variables. Total weight of bracket is to be minimized while displacement and stress should not exceed limit. Size optimization is done with 3D solid element and PLBA, the RQP algorithm. The weight of 0.262kg of initial model is reduced to 0.241kg after optimization process, so 9.8% of weight reduction is obtained.

  • 최근 산업에서는 Czochralski(Cz) 공정에서 ingot의 생산성을 높이고 동시에 에너지 소비를 적절하게 할 수 있는 최적 설계가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 현장에서 적용 가능한 설계 인자인 도가니(crucible) 크기, shield 모양, heater의 위치를 변동하면서 가장 최적의 생산성 및 전력 절감 설계를 찾아내는 연구를 수행하였다. 대상 공정은 직경 8 인치 태양전지용 ingot 생산 공정으로 생산성 증대를 위해 도가니 크기를 22인치에서 24인치로 바꾸어 안정적 생산이 가능한 최적설계를 찾았다. 이때 산업에서 외형변화가 허용되지 않아 단열두께만 줄여 최적설계를 찾았다.
