Three hardwood (ash, alder and black locust) and three softwood (Japanese red pine, radiata pine and Western hemlock) specimens were dried in microwave(MlW) oven and their drying rates were obtained. Their specific permeabilities were also measured by using a modified liquid permeability measuring device. The correlation between the M/W drying rates and permeabilities of six species were statistically analyzed. It was revealed that within a species there is a logarithmic relationship between the M/W drying rates and average moisture contents and that among species there is a linear relationship between the M/W maximum drying rates and the average specific permeabilities. A exception was Western hemlock, which was of low permeability and of high drying rate. A Me-time equation, which showed a good agreement with the actual data, was derived. Thus using this equation the moisture contents of wood and the drying end points of M/W drying could be predicted. Infrared images of the thermal distribution in wood were illustrated.

Black shank(Phytophthora parasitira roar. nicotianae) resistant burley tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) germplasms, KB 104 and KB 106, were developed by Korea Ginseng & Tobacco Research Institute. KB 104 was developed from the single cross of Burley 21$\times$Newton 77, using a modified pedigree method. KB 104 was highly resistant to black shank, and its agronomic characteristics and chemical contents were comparable to those of Burley 21, and value per 10a was slightly higher than Burley 21, KB 106 is a maternally derived doubled haploid made by N. africana method from the single cross of Burley 21$\times$ Va 509. KB 106 was also highly resistant to black shank, had two more harvestable leaves per plant and flowered three days later than Burley 21 did. Total alkaloid and nicotine contents of KB 106 were significantly lower than those of Burley 21. But its nornicotine content was higher than Burley 21 5. Objectives : This research had been designed to survey Li Chan 's viewpoint of physiological characteristics of tripple energizers and discover his own medical distinction in them. Methods : First, look up contents related with it's physiological characteristics in his book, Introduction to Medicine. Second, investigate which books they had derived from. Third, decide whether the contents were originative or not. Results & Conclusions : Even though his viewpoint of it's characteristics mostly followed Neijing (內經) and Nanjing (難經), he partially changed and added some theories in his book. For example, he regarded that tripple energizers played a role in not only 6 vowels but also 5 viscera, developed man's essence-spirit and made his joints strong. These came from Wang Haogu (王好古)'s CiShiNanJi (此事難知), Suwen (素問) ShengQiTongTianLun (生氣通天論) and so on.

The present study has been performed to select the osmotic tolerant lines using polyethylene glycol (PEG 6000) through an in vitro and in vivo mutagensis with a gamma-ray. During the screening, we selected three mutant lines that seemed to confer elevated osmotic tolerance in high concentrations of PEG 6000. Fruits of these mutants (Os-HK101, Os-HK102 and Os-HK103) were increased to sugar concentration, L-glutamine acid, vitamin C content and lycopine content than those of the wild type. Also the chlorophyll contents were few decreased more in the three mutant lines than the WT plants. Our results suggest that the Os-HK101 is characterized as osmotic stress tolerance considering the sugar concentration and lycopine content. It is expected that the result of this study can be used for breeding more competitive species with respect to contents in sugar or functional chemicals from the selected osmotic resistant lines.

Various 3D contents are being developed using Unity 3D game engine. In this paper, the 3D content of horseback riding game, the first VR game in the country, is designed and developed. The existing riding simulator is investigated and compared to the VR riding game developed. We consider various games developed using Unity 3D game engine and serve previously developed tangible games. It is expected that development of VR riding games will prepare a new chapter in VR experience-type games. We propose the content development environment and scenario of VR riding game and present the main algorithms and main modules for real-time synchronization. The developed riding game contents are deployed to the riding system and are operated for commercial use in conjunction with the riding device. Through monitoring VR riding system, problems are derived and improvement measures are proposed. We offer a variety of additional development options to make the game more realistic in the future.

보육공간환경은 영유아의 성장과 발달에 큰 영향을 미친다. 영유아의 건강과 안전을 고려한 쾌적한 공간환경을 구축하는 것이 큰 사회적 과제로 여겨지고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 국내외 가이드라인의 보육공간환경을 비교 분석하여, 보육환경의 쾌적함과 지속가능성을 보완할 수 있는 가이드라인을 제안하였다. 유니버설 디자인을 비롯하여 영유아의 스케일을 고려한 치수 기준, 온도, 환기, 조명 등의 환경기준, 가구와 마감재의 친환경성 등에 대한 제안이 추가된 통합 가이드라인을 도출하였다.

Callus was derived from the leaves of Perilla frutescens var. acuta which is commonly cultivated in Korea. It has been found that the light decreased the growth rate of the callus but rather increased the contents of essential oils. The addition of one ppm of 1-naphthyl acetic acid and 5ppm of kinetin in the medium caused the increased production of essential oils.

In this experiment furrow and fixed nozzle methods in irrigating chiness cabbages were compared on the grounds of yields and amounts of irrigation water. A simple electric device was used to measure soil moisture contents. As a result, the following items were derived: 1) A slight significance was observed between the yield produced at the furrow irrigation test plot and that at the sprinkler irrigation plot. 2) The ratio of the amount of irrigation water applied at the furrow irrigation plot to that at the sprinkler irrigation plot was approximately 2.7 : 1.

In this paper, I propose a thread scheduling policy for faster packet processing on the network processors with multithreaded multiprocessor architecture. To implement the proposed policy, I derived several basic parameters related to the thread scheduling and included a new parameter representing the packet contents and the features of the multithreaded architecture. Through the empirical study using a network processor, I proved the proposed scheduling ploicy provides better throughput and load balancing compared to the generally used thread scheduling policy.

Lumbar foraminal pathology causing entrapment of neurovascular contents and radicular symptoms are commonly associated with foraminal stenosis. Foraminal neuropathy can also be derived from inflammation of the neighboring lateral recess or extraforaminal spaces. Conservative and interventional therapies have been used for the treatment of foraminal inflammation, fibrotic adhesion, and pain. This update reviews the anatomy, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and current treatment options of foraminal neuropathy.
