청아치과병원 교정과에 내원한 환자의 분포와 부정교합분류에 관한 연구 (A Study On the Distribution of Malocclusion Patents From Department of Orthodontics, Chong-A Dental Hospital)

  • As a society has developed, much concern has been put on appearances of people with development of economy. Accordingly malocclusion patients have been increasing. With this trend, it has become very important to investigate patients characteristics so as to cure the patients effectively. This study investigated 724 malocclusion patients who had been examined diagmosed and recorded well at Chong-a Dental Hospital for 5 years from 1994 to 1998. The results are as follows ; 1) The total number of orthodontic patients in 1998 increased about 79% than in 1994, and female orthodontic patients(68.1%) were more than male ones(31.9%). 2) Age distribution has shown more than 19 year-old group being the largest(48.9%) 3) Distributions in the types of malocclusion according to the Angle's classification have shown 42.5% for class I division, 21.5% for class II division, 35.9% for class III division, being class I division the largest. 4) 50.1% of the total patients were from Kang-nam Gu, So-cho Gu, and Song-pa Gu.

서울 및 경기지역 노인의 치과보철물 실태에 대한 조사 연구 (A Study on the Actual Condition of Dental Prosthesis of the Elderly in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do)

  • Purpose: This study was carried out for the purpose of obtaining basic data necessary for developing the future oral health promotion program of the elderly by surveying the actual condition of managing dental prosthesis in the elderly. Methods: It collected materials targeting 346 elderly brackets in over 65 years old who dwell in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do Province for about 10 months from September 2010 to June 2011, analyzed 312 copies except 34 copies, which are inappropriate for data processing due to being insufficient in response among these things, and obtained the following results. Results: In the actual condition of missing tooth, a case of missing tooth was indicated to be 78.8%. In case of missing tooth, the number of missing teeth was indicated to be 75.6% for under 5 pieces and 19.1% for over 21 pieces. In the actual condition of managing prosthesis, a case with dental prosthesis treatment was indicated to be 77.6%. A kind of prosthesis was indicated to be the highest in fixed partial dentures with 36.5%. In a method of rinsing dentures, 47.7% of the elderly responded as saying of washing it out with water. The appearance of removing dentures at night was indicated to be the highest in doing so with 63.1%. Satisfaction with prosthesis of being mounted now was indicated to be moderate with 50.4%. As for the appearance of having experience of education on how to manage prosthesis, it was indicated to be high with 50.4% in having none. In a kind of prosthesis depending on averagely monthly income, the ratio of total dentures was high when averagely monthly income is low. On the other hand, a case with high income was indicated to have high ratio in implants. The satisfaction with prosthesis was low when averagely monthly income is low. Also, in the experience of education on how to manage prosthesis, the ratio of responses as saying of having no experience of education on how to manage prosthesis was indicated to be high when averagely monthly income is low. Conclusion: Examining the above results, a developmental plan is considered to be necessary such as developing continuous and systematic oral health promotion program for managing elderly people's managing dental prothesis.

양극산화와 열수처리한 순수 니오비움 금속의 생체활성 평가 (Evaluation of Biocompatibility of Anodized and Hydrothermally Treated Pure Niobium Metal)

  • This study was performed to investigate the surface properties of electrochemically oxidized pure niobium by anodic oxide and hydrothermal treatment technique. Niobium specimens of $10\times10mm$ in dimension were polished sequentially from #600, #800, #1000 emery paper. The surface pure niobium specimens were anodized in an electrolytic solution that was dissolved calcium and phosphate in water. The electrolytic voltage was set in the range of 250 V and the current density was 10 $mA/cm^2$. The specimen was hydrothermal treated in high-pressure steam at 300$^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours using an autoclave. Then, specimens were immersed in the Hanks' solution with pH 7.4 at 37$^{\circ}C$ for 30 days. The surface of specimen was characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM), energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis(EDX), potentiostat/galvanostat test, and cytotoxicity test. The results obtained was summarized as follows; According to the result of measuring corrosion behavior at 0.9% NaCl, corrosion resistance was improved more specimens treated with anodic oxide than in hydrothermal treated ones. The multi-porous oxide layer on surface treated through anodic oxidation showed a structure that fine pores overlap one another, and the early precipitation of apatite was observed on the surface of hydrothermal treated samples. According to the result of EDX after 30 days deposition in Hanks' solution, Ca/P was 1.69 in hydrothermal treated specimens. In MTT test, specimens treated through anodic oxidation and hydrothermal treated ones showed spectrophotometer similar to that of the control group. Thus no significant difference in cytotoxicity was observed (P>0.05).

치과기공 소음 노출이 치기공과 학생의 스트레스와 순음청력에 미치는 영향 (Influence of stress and pure tone audiometry on noise-exposed dental laboratory technicians by dental instrument)

  • 소음은 원하지 않는 소리로서 소음의 노출은 스트레스와 난청의 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 치기공과 학생의 치과기공 소음 노출에 의하여 스트레스와 순음청력에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 심박변이도와, 공기전도검사와 골전도검사를 실시하였다. 치기공과 학생의 나이, 키와 체중은 대조군과 유사한 결과를 나타냈다. 스트레스의 저항도를 나타내는 심박 표준편차와 부교감신경의 활성과 관련 있는 norm HF는 유의적으로 감소하였으며, 심박수, 교감신경의 지표인 norm LF, 교감신경과 부교감신경의 비율은 유의적으로 증가하였다. 공기전도검사 결과 치기공과 학생의 오른쪽 귀의 125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 6000 Hz와 왼쪽 귀의 125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000 Hz에서 역치와 골전도검사 결과 오른쪽과 왼쪽 모두 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 Hz에서 역치가 유의적으로 증가하였다. 또한, 순음청력검사 결과를 4분법을 이용하여 어음영역의 평균을 비교한 결과 치기공학과 학생에서의 역치가 모두 유의적인 증가를 보였다. 이와 같은 결과를 종합해 보면, 치기공학과 학생들에게 노출된 치과기공 소음에 의해서도 스트레스의 증가와 청력소실이 유발될 수 있으므로 적절한 예방책을 찾아야 할 것이다.

인공치관용(人工齒冠用) Glass-Ceramics의 결정화(結晶化)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Crystallization of Glass-Ceramics for Dental Crown)

  • Glass ceramics for crown were prepared by adding 3$\sim$11 wt% TiO2 to the weight percent composition of 34.7 CaO, 27.8 SiO2, 18.3P2O5, 12.6MgO and 6.6 TiO2. The starting glasses were prepared by melting the powdered batch in alumina crucible at 1350$\sim$1400 for 1 hr and then quenching into a distilled water. The nucleation and crystallization of the crystalline glass ceramics for crown were studied by DTA, SME and X-ray diffraction analysis. Frit containing 9.11 wt% TiO2 had crystallization temperature of 850$\sim$1075 and major crystalline phase was identified by X-ray diffraction as diopside(CaO-MgO-2SiO2). Activation energies for the crystallization processes were obtained from DTA by varing rates for the fits, and were calculated from modified Ozawa and Kissinger equations. Activation energy for the crystallization processes of the S-4 frit was 489.6 KJ/mol.

금속의 두께가 도재의 파절강도에 미치는 영향 (A study on the difference of Ceramic fracture strength according to the metal depth)

  • In the manufacture of ceramo-metal crown, difference of fracture strength according to the metal depth has been known to be an important influence on enough intensity and internal stress to endure an occlusion-pressure as well as aesthetics of rehabilitating similar colour such as natural teeth. Depth of ceramic material could be determined by that of metal in three groups: first case of thin depth, second case of thick depth, and third case of constant depth. For the enhancement of the fracture strength between metal and ceramic materials and aesthetic satisfaction, a study on the bonding force, fracture strength, and aesthetics have been required more. In this study, therefore metal coping were made in three groups of A, B and C by using both ceramic powder of Norithe and metal of Columbium, which have been used primarily in the market. A group was made in $0.2mm\times10mm\times10mm$, B group was made in $0.4mm\times10mm\times10mm$, and, C group was made in $0.8mm\times10mm\times10mm$, respectively. The number of metal coping in each group was 10, and total sample numbers used in this study were 30 metal copings. After these metal coping tissue were in the process of build-up in 1.5mm constant depth of porcelain, firing, and glazing, the fracture strength about each metal coping tissue was investigated using oil press. It was found that the average values of durable occlusion pressure for separation of ceramic material in the porcelain fused to metal crown (PFM) in the each group showed the increasing order of A group (30 bar), B group (42 bar), and C group (44 bar), respectively. Proper depth of metal coping in the PFM was considered to be 0.4mm in the B group because this metal size showed higher durable property to the occlusion pressure and better coupling strength in the ceramo-metal crown.

치과용 지르코니아 코어 가공후의 잔여물을 활용하여 주입성형법으로 제조한 소결체의 특성 (The Properties of Sintered Body by Using the Slip Casting Process with Remained Dental Zirconia Block after Machining)

  • Purpose: All ceramic crown, made from zirconia instead of metal for core material, is recognized the best esthetical prosthesis. Recently, high-priced zirconia blocks and expensive CAD/CAM machines come into use for making zirconia core. In this study, slip casting process is adapted to evaluate the possibility of the recycling the remained parts of zirconia block after machining. Methods: Remained zirconia blocks were reduced to powders with zirconia mortar, and screened with 180 mesh sieve. Passed powders were ball milled under various conditions to obtain the optimum zirconia slip for casting. Solid casting method was used for casting the specimens with plaster mold. Formed specimens were dried and biscuit fired at $1,000^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. Biscuit fired specimens were finished with exact shape of square pillar. Finished specimens were fired from $1,200^{\circ}C$ to $1,550^{\circ}C$ at $50^{\circ}C$ intervals for 1 hour. Linear shrinkage, apparent porosity, water absorption, bulk density, and flexural strength were tested. Microstructures were observed by SEM. Results: Above examinations indicated that the optimum firing temperture was $1,500^{\circ}C$, and when fired at this temperature for 1 hour, apparent porosity was 0% and flexural strength was 680MPa. SEM photomicrographs showed uniform 200~300nm grain size, which is equal with microcture of sintered commercial zirconia block. when compare 24% linear shrinkage of cast specimen with 20% linear shrinkage of CAD/CAM machined block, it was estimated that the size controlling of cast core was not so difficult. Conclusion: According to the all of this experimental results, the cast zirconia core produced from the remained parts of zirconia block was possible to use for all ceramic denture.

수업 만족도에 영향을 미치는 수업참여 요인 : 치기공(학)과 학생을 중심으로 (A Study on Class Participation Factors that Affect the Class Satisfaction : Focusing on Students of Dental Technology Department)

  • Purpose: In this study, we aim to provide primary source of data for developing a learning program that enhances the students' learning by critically analyzing and adopting the effective class participation factors of the students. Methods: A questionnaire survey has been conducted from the beginning of May to the end of October, 2017. Subjects of the survey was the dental technology students living in W-city et al by random sampling method along with written informed consent. Out of 630 distributed questionnaires, 584 results were used for our analysis. Results: Firstly, the average score of the class participation of all the subjects was 3.08 points out of 5.0, which was broken down into class activity (3.53 points), passion about class (3.51 points), communication factors (2.88 points), class preparation (2.77 points), class extension (2.76 points). Secondly, statistically significant correlations were found between class participation and class satisfaction as shown in (p<.01). Class participation factors that affect the class satisfaction were class preparation(p<.001), class activities(p<.001), passion about class(p<.001), which reveals positive and meaningful results. Explanatory power of the model turned out 50.3%. Conclusion : Considering that class preparation, class activities, and passion about class played a key role in class satisfaction of the student, teachers need to be open minded to reflect the learners' personalized demands and needs in preparing and managing their class. Additionally should be in tandem that provides the students with various routes of class participation.

Ag-20wt% Pd-20wt% Cu 3원합금(元合金) 및 Au첨가합금(添加合金)의 시효경화특성(時效硬化特性) (The Effect of Au Addition on the Hardening Mechanism in Ag-20wt% Pd-20wt% Cu)

  • Au 함량이 20% 미만인 Au-Ag-Pd합금의 기초합금인 Ag-Pd-Cu 3원계 합금의 시효경화 특성을 규명할 목적으로 20wt% Pd 및 20wt% Cu의 용질농도구성비가 1이 되는 3원 합금과 여기에 2wt% Au의 첨가합금에 미치는 석출상의 영향을 분석, 조사하여 아래와 같은 결론을 얻었다. Ag-20wt% Pd-20wt% Cu 3원 함금은 ${\alpha}$의 단일상에서 Ag-rich의 ${\alpha}2$상 및 PdCu규칙상에 의하여 경화반응이 진행되며 연속승온과정에서 $100{\sim}300^{\circ}C$의 경도증가와 $300{\sim}500^{\circ}C$의 경도감소의 2단계 경화특성이 얻어졌다. 연속승온시효과정은 Au첨가에 관계없이 2단계의 석출반응이 저온영역에서는 stage I, stage II로 나타나고 stage I은 고온에서의 소입에 의해 도입된 과잉공공의 이동 및 소멸에 의한 반응이고 stage II는 평형농도의 공공확산에 의한 반응에 대응하였다. 또한 본 합금의 시효석출과정은 ${\alpha}\to{\alpha}+{\alpha}2+PdCu\to{\alpha}_1+{\alpha}_2+PdCu$이고 최대 경화는 ${\alpha}_1,\;{\alpha}_2$, PdCu의 3상공존구역에서 나타났다. 이들 석출반응은 입계반응이고 반응의 진행과 함께 경도값은 상승하며 경화능에 직접적으로 기여하였다. 또한 석출상은 미세한 lamella조직의 nodule을 나타내고 이들 ${\alpha}_1,\;{\alpha}_2$ 및 PdCu상과의 미세한 혼합상의 형성이 시효경화능에 기여하는 주된 원인이 되었다. 과시효는 lamella의 조대화와 PdCu상의 ${\alpha}_2$상으로의 용해에 따른 정량적 감소에 대응하였다. 본 합금의 시효열처리 온도는 $450^{\circ}C$가 적절하며 $1{\sim}120min$ 시효시간에 걸쳐서 소정의 경화특성을 얻을 수 있었다.
