  • During the COVID-19 pandemic, several studies focused on financial programs and SMEs' performance, but research on the relationship between non-financial programs, resilience, and SMEs' performance is still sparse. This study fills the gap by analyzing the role of local government in increasing SME resilience and performance by purchasing products (through civil servants) from SMEs and by facilitating online training to SMEs. This study also investigates the role of the local government in strengthening the relationship between resilience and SME performance. Data was collected using an online questionnaire distributed to SMEs in Malang Regency. As many as 410 questionnaires were received and eligible for statistical analysis using WarpPLS. The results show that resilience is positively and significantly related to the performance of SMEs. The local government programs have been proven to improve SME performance directly and indirectly through resilience. Local government programs are not proven to strengthen the relationship between resilience and the performance of SMEs, indicating that the role of government in developing countries such as Indonesia is more appropriate to be "rowing rather than steering" not "steering rather than rowing".

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate curriculums of physical therapy education. Methods : We identified the curriculums of physical therapy education by internet. Results : In Korea, education on physical therapy started as a two-year program in 1963, and recently reorganized as three or four years programs. Currently some ten schools offer physical therapy programs for master's and doctor's degrees. The member countries of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) provide approximately ten types of education programs that take two to six years. In Korea, the same programs have three or four years of education periods. The American Physical Therapist Association (APTA) launched on the doctor of physical therapy (DPT) course in the late 1990s, encouraging physical therapists to acquire a doctorate degree. In addition, the U.S. Vision 2020 envisions that all physical therapists acquire DPT by the year 2020. As the medical field becomes more professional and specialized, physical therapists are expected to supplement and even replace works of doctors, instead of merely assisting them. It is necessary to reinforce education programs and improve related school systems to enhance status of physical therapist in accordance with the changing social needs and to provide quality service to patients. Conclusion : We suggest to change the curriculum of Korea. It is more accurately reflected the scope, depth, breadth, and rigor of the high-quality education preparation needed for current and future practice.

Methods: We analyzed health promotion programs associated with three health indicators; smoking(smoking rate in male), alcohol use(alcohol use rate in adults), obesity(obesity rate) in twenty five community health centers in Seoul. First, we classified three groups(excellent, fair and poor groups) using average scores of Seoul, that of Korea and National Health Plan2010 goals in three health indicators. Afterwards, we examined the compatibility between contents of health promotion programs regarding leading health indicators and the specific program activities. Results: The compatibility levels between health indicators and contents of health promotion programs was 80 % for smoking among fair and poor groups while fair and poor for smoking reported 60% and 70%, respectively. For obesity, excellent group reported 80% and fair group had 91%. Conclusion: In conclusion, although all districts were able to access available data for health indicators and health statistics every year, it seems that they did not only utilize these data enough in conjunction with health promotion programs but also did not integrate specific activities according to National Health Plan systematically.
