지르코니아 코어의 두께에 따른 변색치와 메탈 포스트의 색조차단 효과 (Effect of Zirconia Core Thickness on the Tone Blocking of Discolored Tooth and Metal Post)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between zirconia core thickness and color tone blocking of discolored tooth and metal post. Methods: For this study, we made 20-porcelain sample and 4-metal sample( liechtenstein IPS e.max) bonded to zirconia core of different thickness with cement(Relyx ARC-3M USA)for produce discolored. We measured the color-spectral characteristics, using Shadepilot equipment(Degudent USA).We measured it with Shadepilot equipment set by automated average mode in 3 times And applied the average value obtained from 2 times of measurement in the middle of each sample. Results: As a result of analysing color-spectral characteristics on zirconia core sample, Depending on the thickness of zirconia core, the value of brightness(${\Delta}L*$:color-spectral characteristic) was increased within limited range, value of ${\Delta}a*$, ${\Delta}b*$ was decrease. Conclusion: Consequently, we obtained the following results: Changes of sample color were observed depending on the thickness of zirconia, but the range of change did not exceed the scope range of shade guide. The case of metal posts, shade guide color D2 were observed in 0.5mm of zirconia core thickness. As a result, in case of porcelain, increasing the zirconia thickness of 0.3mm or more is unnecessary for color blocking effect, in case of metal post, considering the discolored tooth, thickness of zirconia with at least 0.5mm or more is recommended.

외부탄소원 주입시 영양염류의 생물학적 제거를 위한 자동제어 SBR 공정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Autocontrolled SBR for Biological Nutrient Removal with External Carbon Sources)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop effective operating process in order to achieve more suitable conditions of Anoxic-Oxic-Anoxic-Stripper(AOAS) SBR through real-time control. To improve the removal efficiency, glucose, methanol and synthetic food waste acid fermentant were added as an external carbon source, In the case of glucose and synthetic food waste acid fermentant, TN, TP were removed to average 86.9%, 73.0% respectively. Methanol was removed to average 64.6%, 55.4% respectively. The synthetic food waste acid fermentant proved to be the most efficient and allowed for the substitution of an external carbon source. The removal rate of $COD_{Cr}$, was approximately 90% at all cases. The results of the study that a correlation between ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential), pH and DO and nitrification or denitrification when an external carbon source is added and when it isn't was showed that ${\Delta}ORP$ is suitable parameter. ORP reacted properly to denitrification (${\Delta}ORP<-10$) and nitrification (${\Delta}ORP<0$). The use of real-time control saved anywhere between 61 and 67 minutes at the anoxic(1) stage and 26 to 52 minutes at the oxic(1) stage. When the time saved from the anoxic(1) and oxic(1) was added to the anoxic(2) stage for the removal efficiency of TN and TP increased from 0.7 to 13.9% and 12 to 35 % respectively.

장군광산산(將軍鑛山産) 망간광물의 성인(成因)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Origin of Manganese Carbonates in the Janggun Mine, South Korea)

  • 장군(將軍) 연(鉛) 아연(亞鉛) 망간 광상(鑛床)은 캠브로-오도뷔스기(紀)의 장군석회암(將軍石灰岩)과 춘양화강암(春陽花岡岩)과의 접촉부에 발달(發達)하는 접촉교대광상(接觸交代鑛床)이다. 광체(鑛體)는 맥상(脈狀) 및 광통형광체로 상부에는 산화(酸化)망간 및 탄산(炭酸)망간석을 주로 하는 망간광물이 우세하고 하부에는 섬아연석(閃亞鉛石)-방연석(方鉛石)-황철석(黃鐵石)-유비철석(탄산망간석)등의 황화광물(黃化鑛物)이 우세하게 발달하고 있다. 그중 망간광상의 성인에 대하여 열수교대(熱水交代)와 동시퇴적기원(同時堆積起源)으로 그 해석을 달리하고 있으며 탄산(炭酸)망간석(rhodochrosite)이 동시 퇴적기원이란 근거에서 장미암(rhodochrostone)으로 명명된 퇴적암(堆積岩)이 제안되었다(김, 1975). 본 연구에서는 탄산망간석의 기원을 규명하고 이들 광물(鑛物)의 침전환경을 추정하기 위하여 모암인 탄산염암류와 탄산망간석, 산화망간, 방해석 등의 탄소안정동위원소(炭素安定同位元素)(${\delta}^{13}C$)와 산소(酸素)동위원소(${\delta}^{18}O$)를 분석하고 이에 수반되는 황화광물(黃化廣)의 황동위원소(黃同位元素)(${\delta}^{34}S$)를 분석검토하였다. 모암인 석회암 및 돌로마이트질석회암은 ${\delta}^{13}C$=-2.6~+0.1‰ (평균 -1.5‰), ${\delta}^{18}O$=+10.9~+21.9‰ (평균 +17.5‰)이고 탄산망간석은 ${\delta}^{13}C$=-4.2~-6.3‰(평균 -5.3‰), ${\delta}^{18}O$=+7.6~+12.9‰(평균 +10.7‰)로 이들 사이에는 현저한 동위원소값의 차이를 나타내고 있다. 이는 광화용액(鑛化溶液)의 탄소(炭素) 및 산소(酸素)가 모암(母岩)인 탄산염암(炭山鹽岩)의 것과는 동일기원(同一起源)이 아님을 가르킨다. 황동위원소(黃同位元素)(${\delta}^{34}S$)의 값도 +2.0~+5‰로 좁은 범위를 나타내며 화성기원(火成起源)의 황(黃)으로 해석된다. 황동위원소지질온도계(黃同位元素地質溫度計)에 의해 추정된 광상생성온도(鑛床生成溫度)는 $288{\sim}343^{\circ}C$이다. 탄산(炭酸)망간석을 침전시킨 광화용액(鑛化溶液)의 ${\delta}^{18}O_{H_2O}$=+6.6~+10.6‰, ${\delta}^{13}C_{CO_2}$=-4.0~-5.1‰로 심부기원(深部起源)(화성기원(火成起源))으로 해석된다. 따라서 탄산(炭酸)망간석은 마그마성 열수기원에서 침전된것이다. 그러나 망간산화물은 모두 지하수면(地下水面) 상부에서 탄산망간석의 산화(酸化)에 의해 2차적(二次的)으로 형성된 표성산화(表成酸化)망간이며 산화망간광물의 산소는 순환수의 산소보다 석회암(石灰岩)의 산소와 동위원소교환(同位元素交換)이 우세하게 일어난 것으로 해석된다.

질소 동위원소비를 이용한 관행농업과 유기농업에서의 질산태 질소 오염원 구명 (Investigation of Nitrate Contamination Sources Under the Conventional and Organic Agricultural Systems Using Nitrogen Isotope Ratios)

  • Nitrate contamination in water system is a critical environmental problem caused by excessive application of chemical fertilizer and concentration of livestock. In order to prevent further contamination, therefore, it is necessary to understand the origin of nitrate in nitrogen loading sources and manage the very source of contamination. The objective of this study was to examine the nitrate contamination sources in different agricultural system by using nitrogen isotope ratios. Groundwater and runoff water samples were collected on a monthly basis from February 2003 to November 2003 and analyzed for nitrogen isotopes. The nitrate concentrations of groundwater in livestock fanning area were higher than those in conventional and organic fanning area and exceeded the national drinking water standard of 10mg N/ l. The ${\delta}^{15}N$ranges of chemical fertilizer and animal manure were - 3.7${\sim}$+2.3$\textperthousand$ and +12.5${\sim}$26.7$\textperthousand$, respectively. The higher ${\delta}^{15}N$ of animal manure than those of chemical fertilizer reflected isotope fractionation and volatilization of '''N. The different agricultural systems and corresponding average nitrate concentrations and ${\delta}^{15}N$ values were: conventional farming, 5.47mg/e, 8.3$\textperthousand$; organic fanning, 5.88mg/e, 10.1$\textperthousand$; crop-livestock farming, 12.5mg/e, 17.7%0. These data indicated that whether conventional or organic agriculture effected groundwater and runoff water quality. In conclusions, relationship between nitrate concentrations and ${\delta}^{15}N$ value could be used to make a distinction between nitrate derived from chemical fertilizer and from animal manure. Additional investigation is required to monitor long-term impact on water quality in accordance with agricultural systems.

모야모야병에서 EDAS 수술효과의 평가를 위한 수술전후 $^{99m}Tc$-HMPAO SPECT의 유용성 (Serial $^{99m}Tc$-HMPAO Brain SPECT for Assessing Perfusion Improvement after EDAS in Moyamoya Patients)

  • Encephalo-duro-arterio-synangiosis (EDAS) is a relatively new surgical procedure for treatment of childhood moyamoya disease. We assessed regional cerebral perfusion in moyamoya patients before (1.3 mo) and after (6.8 mo) EDAS with $^{99m}Tc$-HMPAO brain SPECT. A total of 21 EDAS operations in 17 moyamoya patients was included. Preoperative CT or MRI showed cerebral infarction in 14 patients and carotid angiography showed Suzuki grade I to V stenosis in 6%, 9%, 62%, 12% and 12% of the hemispheres respectively. Preoperative SPECT showed regional hypoperfusion in all patients, bilateral frontal and temporal lobes being the most frequently involved site. $4{\times}4$ pixel sized ROIs were applied on the frontotemporal cortex in 3 slice averaged transverse tomographic images. An index of regional perfusion was measured as: PI (%)=average F-T activity/average cerebellar activity${\times}100$ Pre-EDAS ipsilateral PI ranged from 23.7 to 98.4% (mean: $74.3{\pm}17%$) and increased significantly after operation ($81.4{\pm}17%$, p<0.001). Individual post-EDAS PI improved in 15/21 cases, showed no significant change in 5 and was slightly aggravated in 1. The amount of clinical improvement (${\Delta}CI$) was graded with a scale of 0 to 4 based on frequency and severity of TIA attacks. When patients were grouped according to pre-EDAS PI, group II (PI 70-89) showed a significantly higher ${\Delta}CI$ (3.3) compared to group I (PI< 70, 1.57) or group III (PI >90, 0.5) (P< 0.001). The amount of perfusion improvement (${\Delta}PI$) showed significant correlation with ${\Delta}CI$ (r=0.42, p=0.04). ${\Delta}PI$ did not, however, correlate with the amount of neovascularization assessed angiographically in 8 patients. Serial HMPAO SPECT is an useful noninvasive study for assessing perfusion improvement after EDAS in childhood moyamoya patients.

다중 파장 근적외선 LED조명에 의한 컬러영상 획득 (Color Image Acquired by the Multispectral Near-IR LED Lights)

  • A system which provides multispectral near-IR and visible gray images of objects is constructed and an algorithm is derived to acquire a natural color image of objects from the gray images. A color image of 24 color patches is obtained by recovering their CIE (International Commission on Illumination) LAB color coordinates $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$ from their gray images using the algorithm based on polynomial regression. The system is composed of a custom-designed LED illuminator emitting multispectral near-IR illuminations, fluorescent lamps and a monochrome digital camera. Color reproducibility of the algorithm is estimated in CIELAB color difference ${\Delta}E^*_{ab}$. And as a result, if yellow and magenta color patches with around 10 ${\Delta}E^*_{ab}$ are disregarded, the average ${\Delta}E^*_{ab}$ is 2.9, and this value is within the acceptability tolerance for quality evaluation for digital color complex image.

연성재료의 균열진전에 따른 A2의 변화; 실험적 측정 (Variation of A2 with Crack Propagation in a Ductile Metal; Experimental Evaluation)

  • A way to measure the second parameter $A_2$of CT specimens is described. The displacement $\delta$$_{5}$ which is measured continuously from visual images of the lateral surface during crack growth is used to calculate the A, as a function of crack growth. The crack length is measured by DCPD(Direct Current Potential Drop) method and the J-resistance curve is determined according to ASTM standard E1737-96. To prove the validity of this method, three dimensional finite element analyses were performed, and variations of the displacements $\delta$$_{5}$ and $A_2$along the thickness were explored. As the result, it has been shown that the $\delta$$_{5}$ measured from the visual images of the lateral surface and the corresponding $A_2$can be regarded as the average through the thickness for 1T and 1/2T specimens of SA106Gr.C steel.steel.

Interaction of Bilobalide and Ginkgolides B with Bovine Serum Albumin: A Fluorescence Quenching Study

  • The interaction of bilobalide (BB) and ginkgolides B (GB) with bovine serum albumin (BSA) was investigated by fluorescent technique and UV/vis absorption spectroscopy. The results showed that BB and GB could intensively quench the fluorescence of BSA through a static quenching procedure. The binding constants (Ka) and the average binding distance between the donor (BSA) and the acceptor (ginkgolides) were obtained ($r_{BB}$ = 5.33 nm and $r_{GB}$ = 4.20 nm) by the theory of non-radiation energy transfer, and then the thermodynamic parameters such as ${\Delta}S^0$ (0.17-0.32 kJ/mol), ${\Delta}G^0$ (-20.76 ~ -17.79 kJ/mol) and ${\Delta}H^0$ (32.47-76.52 kJ/mol) could be calculated, respectively. All these results revealed that the interaction of BB and GB with BSA were driven mainly by hydrophobie force. The synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy was applied to examine the effect of two ginkgolides on the configuration of BSA. The configuration alteration of BSA could be induced by the hydrophobicitv environment of tyrosine with the increase of the drug concentration.

DR을 이용한 대역통과 필터 설계 (The Design of BPF with Dielectric Resonators)

  • 본 논문에서는 비유전율 38을 갖는 유전체 공진기를 이용하여 S-Band 내 대역폭 20MHz를 갖는 대역통과 필터를 설계 및 제작하였다. 제작에 사용한 유전체 공진기는 $TE_{01{\delta}}$ 모드로 동작하며 중심이 관통된 링형이다. 대역통과 필터는 여섯 개의 유전체 공진기를 이용하여 6-Pole로 구성하였으며 비인접 결합을 통해 타원함수 응답을 구현하였다. 대역통과 필터는 대역폭 내에서 평균 0.97dB의 삽입손실과 25dB 이상의 반사손실을 나타내었다. 비인접 공진기 간의 결합특성으로 체비세프 응답 대역통과 필터에 비해 주파수 선택도를 더욱 향상시킬 수 있었다.

  • 200-MW pulse modulators(total 11units) for the PLS linac employ the SCR phase control circuit. It controls 3-phase AC line voltage for the high-voltage DC power supply (DCPS, maximum of 25kVDC, 4.2A) which charges the pulse forming network(PFN). The PFN delivers 400kV, 500A, ESW $7.5{\mu}s$ pulse power to the 80-MW klystron amplifier tube. The SCR regulates 3-phase AC power and feeds to the high voltage transformer. Two different types of the transformer configurations namely ${\Delta}-{\Delta}$ and ${\Delta}-Y$, are alternatively installed to 11 modulator units for the suppression of harmonic noises. RC filters and reactors are also installed. Currently, approximately 110-kW of average AC power per unit is consumed at the normal operation level of the modulator with 30pps. This paper presents the operational characteristics of the high power pulse modulator, especially the experimental results of the AC line harmonic components generated by the operation of the high power pulse modulator to suppress the switching noises from the SCR and rectifying diode arrays.
