Rosary : CDN 시스템을 위한 구조화된 토폴러지-인식 P2P 오버레이 네트워크 (Rosary : Topology-Aware Structured P2P Overlay Network for CDN System)

  • 최근 CAN, Chord, Pastry와 Tapestry 등과 같이 안전한 분산 시스템기반의 P2P (Peer to Peer) 오버레이 네트워크가 일반화되고 있다. 이러한 시스템은 효율적이고 결함에 허용적인 라우팅과 개체의 위치추정 및 스스로 초기화시킬 수 있는 오버레이 네트워크가 갖는 로드 밸런싱을 제공한다. CDN (Contents Delivery Network)온 네트워크 하부구조의 중간 단계로서 궁극적으로 CP(Contents Provider)가 고객에게 전달하고자하는 멀터미디어 데이터를 포함한 컨텐츠의 효율적인 전송을 돕는다. 본 논문에서는 CDN에 적합한 토폴로지-인식 P2P 오버레이 네트워크를 새롭게 제안하였다. 제안된 기법인 Rosary에서 CDN 서버는 구조화된 오버레이 네트워크상에서 두 단계의 Inter-pastry와 Intra-pastry 라우팅을 수행한다. Rosary는 기존의 Pastry 기법을 CDN 환경에 맞도록 적응적으로 수정, 보완 및 추가하였으며 언급한 Intra-pastry 방식과 동적인 랜드마크 토폴로지 기법에 기반을 둔 세미-해싱방법을 제공하고 토폴로지-인식 오버레이 네트워크의 구성과 운용에 이용되었다. NS-2를 이용한 시뮬레이션에서 Rosary 기법은 네트워크 구성 후 안정화 된 컨텐츠 전송에서 보다 전송실패가 적고 효율적이며 견고한 것으로 증명되었다.

  • The current Total Pollution Load Control (TPLC) sets the Target Water Quality (TWQ) by utilizing the delivery ratio, unit loads, and water quality modeling, it also allocates the watershed's permitted discharge load. Currently, common target pollutants of every unit watershed in TPLC are BOD and T-P. This study has reviewed the 1th and 2th of TWQ setting process for the Nakdong River 3th TWQ setting in Total Pollution Load Control (TPLC). As a result of review, 1th and 2th were divided into one management basin (mulgeum) for setting management goals. However, 3th was divided into six management basins (mulgeum, gnagjeong, geumho river, nam river, miryang river, end of nakdong river). The principle of management goal setting were to achieve the objective criteria of Medium Areas for the linkage of the water environment management policy. And Anti-Degredation (principle of preventing deterioration) were applied to the 3th TWQ. Also, additional indicators were considered in accordance with the reduction scenarios for the final management goals.

6LoWPAN에서 회복력 있는 라우팅 프로토콜 기법 (Resilient Routing Protocol Scheme for 6LoWPAN)

  • IoT (Internet of Things) 환경에서 IPv6 패킷 통신을 지원하기 위한 표준 기술로 IETF 6LoWPAN (IPv6 over Low power WAPN) 표준 기술이 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 6LoWPAN에서 패킷 전송을 위한 프로토콜로 주로 AODV (Ad-hoc Distance Vector) 라우팅 프로토콜 기술을 확장한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히, 제한된 자원을 가진 노드들로 구성된 6LoWPAN에서 네트워크 오류가 발생했을 때 신뢰성 있는 데이터 전송과 빠른 경로 설정 방법이 필요하다. 이를 위해, 본 논문에서는 IETF LOAD(6LoWPAN Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing) 을 확장한 최적 복구 경로 알고리즘인 회복력 있는 라우팅 프로토콜기법 (Resilient Routing Protocol) 을 제안한다. 좀 더 구체적으로, 최적 복구 경로 설정 알고리즘, 상세 프로토콜 신호 흐름도 및 패킷 전송의 신뢰성 검증을 위한 수학적인 모델을 제시하였다. 제안된 프로토콜 기법의 성능을 분석하기 위해 NS-3 (Network Simulation Tool) 를 통해 성능 분석하였고 성능 분석 결과 기존의 LOAD 라우팅에 비해 종단간 지연시간, 패킷 처리율, 패킷 전송율 및 제어 패킷 오버헤드 등의 성능 면에서 우수함을 증명하였다.

양돈산업에 있어서 유비쿼터스 환경에서 온도 및 하중 센서에 의한 자동 분만 알림 시스템 개발 (Auto Dispatch Device of Parturition Beginning Signal by Temperature and a Load Sensor at Ubiquitous Circumstance in Pig Industry)

  • This study tried to develop the system (device) that automatically notify a manager of condition just before and after farrowing to extend ubiquitous-based technology and to increase efficiency of delivery care and productivity by reducing human labor and time on standby when farrowing management is done in the difficult and hard working environment of farrowing such as night or holidays in field sand especially in pig industry. In this test, selected 10 gilts were executed timed artificial insemination and were set up each temperature sensor and load sensor to them 3 days before the estimated farrowing day and were observed the farrowing situation. This study was embodied the NESPOT-based (KT Corporation) monitoring system, the system to transmit data in real time by utilization of wireless LAN and the sensor module to apply the ubiquitous environment to them. And this study was observed the situation to automatically notify situations of 10 gilts that first bore just before and after farrowing. The result obtained the farrowing situations of them in real time by setup of the NESPOT-based monitoring system to check farrowing situation directly is as follow. The average time of the automatic notice about situation just before farrowing by the temperature sensor was 27.5 minutes before the beginning of farrowing (the expulsion time of a piglet). 6 of 8 pregnant gilts that first bore automatically were notified situations just before farrowing and the temperature sensors inserted into 2 ones before farrowing were omitted. (The automatic notice rate 75%) The average time of the automatic notice of situation just after farrowing by the load sensor was taken 46.5 minutes after the beginning of farrowing (the expulsion time of a first piglet). The average gestation period of 8 ones that first bore and were tested by the automatic notice of farrowing situation was 115.6 days. This result found that the automatic farrowing notice system by the temperature sensor is more efficient than the load sensor as the automatic farrowing alarm device and sanitary treatment and improvement of the omission rate were required.

황구지천 유역의 오염부하 특성 및 지류 영향 평가 (Evaluation on Pollution Load Characteristics and Influence of Tributaries in the Hwangguji Stream)

  • This study investigated the pollution characteristics of the main pollution zone in the Hwangguji watershed and the influence of the tributary on the main stream. The characteristics of the main pollution zone, including, the water quality index (WQI), stream rating, load duration curve (LDC), delivery load density (DLD), and contribution of the tributary to the mainstream, were evaluated by time-series visual heatmap. The WQI of the mainstream of Hwangguji was lowered to the poor (IV) level from the inflow point of Suwon stream (SW) and the LDC excess rate in the T-P was higher than that of BOD5, especially for the wet season, suggesting that management of non-point source with T-P is preferred. The contribution (%) of the tributaries in the upstream section of Hwangguji watershed were BOD5 14.54%, TOC 15.67%, T-N 5.43%, and T-P 6.97%. In particular, the Suwon sewage treatment plant located in the mainstream showed a high contribution of BOD5 (64.40%) and T-P (53.54%), respectively, due to the high discharge rate (6.019 m3/sec). Meanwhile, Sammi and Gal stream have a large impact on the mainstream with high DLD and poor WQI. Thus, both streams were considered as pollution hot spots. These results provide useful basic data for preparing more effective water quality improvement and management plans in the watershed.

TASL: A Traffic-Adapted Sleep/Listening MAC Protocol for Wireless Sensor Network

  • In this paper, we proposed TASL-MAC, a medium-access control (MAC) protocol for wireless sensor networks. In wireless sensor networks, sensor nodes are usually deployed in a special environment, are assigned with long-term work, and are supported by a limited battery. As such, reducing the energy consumption becomes the primary concern with regard to wireless sensor networks. At the same time, reducing the latency in multi-hop data transmission is also very important. In the existing research, sensor nodes are expected to be switched to the sleep mode in order to reduce energy consumption. However, the existing proposals tended to assign the sensors with a fixed Sleep/Listening schedule, which causes unnecessary idle listening problems and conspicuous transmission latency due to the diversity of the traffic-load in the network. TASL-MAC is designed to dynamically adjust the duty listening time based on traffic load. This protocol enables the node with a proper data transfer rate to satisfy the application's requirements. Meanwhile, it can lead to much greater power efficiency by prolonging the nodes' sleeping time when the traffic. We evaluate our implementation of TASL-MAC in NS-2. The evaluation result indicates that our proposal could explicitly reduce packet delivery latency, and that it could also significantly prolong the lifetime of the entire network when traffic is low.

BASINS/HSPF 모형을 활용한 비점오염부하의 정량적 평가 (Quantitative Estimation of Nonpoint Source Load by BASINS/HSPF)

  • Loading of NPS pollutant was valued through simulation by using BASINS/HSPF model which can simulate runoff volume in rainfall by time. For the verification of the model, it was analyzed the scatter diagram of the simulation value and measure value of water quality and runoff volume in Dongcheon estuary. Using the built model, a study on the time-variant characteristics of runoff and water quality was simulated by being classified into four cases. The result showed the simulation value was nearly same as that of the measured runoff. In the result of fit level test for measured value and simulated value, correlation of runoff volume was computed high by average 0.86 and in the water quality items, fit level of simulation and measurements was high by BOD 0.82, T-N 0.85 and T-P 0.79.

노후 가공송전선의 수명과 열용량의 평가 (Evaluation for Lifetime and Thermal Ratings for Aged Overhead Transmission Lines)

  • 적절한 송전용량으로 전력공급을 안정하게 유지하기 위하여 노후 가공송전선의 열용량이나 수명 평가가 더욱 중요한 관심사가 되었다. 부하정격과 이도/이격거리 모두는 송전용량을 결정하는 중요한 요소들이다. 국내의 2회선 송전선로에 대한 열용량 및 도체수명을 평가하기 위하여, 전기설비기술기준은 물론 이도 및 지상고에 대한 설계기준들이 검토된다. 상정사고를 가정하여 도체온도와 이도를 계산하고 부하용량을 증대시키기 위한 방안이 모색되었다. 본 논문에서는 노후 도체에 대한 열용량과 한계이도를 적절히 평가함으로써, 기존 전력계통의 신뢰성을 보장하기 위한 개선 방안이 제시되었다.

  • In general, the problems of strengthening and repairing of deteriorated or damaged reinforced concrete members are usually worked out in situ by externally bounding steel plates using epoxy resins, which has been recognized to be one of effective and convenient methods. But the disadvantages of strengthening/repairing concrete members with externally bonded steel plates include ; (a) deterioration of the bond at the steel-concrete interface caused by the corrosion of steel ; (b) difficulty in manipulating the plate at the construction site ; (c) improper formation of joints, due to the limited delivery lengths of the steel plates ; and etc. Therefore these difficulties eventually have led to the concept of replacing the steel plates by fiber-reinforced composite sheets which are characterized by their light weight, extremely high stiffness, excellent fatigue properties, and outstanding corrosion resistance. In the paper, for the reliability assessment of reinforced concrete beams externally strengthened by carbon fiber plastic(CFRP) laminates, an attempt is made to suggest a limit state model based on the strain compatibility method and the concept of fracture mechanics. And the reliability of the proposed models is evaluated by using the AFOSM method. The load carrying capacity of the deteriorated and/or damaged RC beams is considerably increased. Thus, it may be stated that the post-strengthening of concrete beams with externally bonded CFRP materials may be one of very effective way of increasing the load carrying capacity and stiffeness characteristics of existing structures.

흡기포트 분사식 LPG 엔진의 연료량 제어 및 연소 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Combustion Characteristics and the Control on the Fuel Flow Rate of LPG Intake Port Injection Engine)

  • In this paper, characteristics of a port injection type LPG fuel system were investigated to adopt the system to a spark ignition engine through rig test. Engine combustion characteristics for limited conditions and the precise control method of LPG fuel supply were also studied. As a basic experiment, the effects and the relationships of parameters such as orifice area, fuel delivery pressure, fuel temperature and flow coefficient were established. From this, one dimensional compressible flow equation can be applied to control gaseous fuel flow rate by setting pressure difference between vaporizer and manifold to a certain range, for example about 1.2 bar in a naturally aspirated engine. The combustion analysis results of LPG engine were also compared with those of gasoline engine according to spark timing and load change. At part load and stoichiometric condition, the MBT spark timing of LPG fueled engine is retarded by 2$^{\circ}$ - 4$^{\circ}$CA compared to that of gasoline engine. On the contrary, the spark timing of LPG fueled engine can be advanced by 5$^{\circ}$- 10$^{\circ}$ CA at WOT, which results from higher Octane Number and burned fraction of LPG fuel compared to gasoline.
