Development of Link Cost Function using Neural Network Concept in Sensor Network

  • In this paper we develop a link cost function for data delivery in sensor network. Usually most conventional methods determine the optimal coefficients in the cost function without considering the surrounding environment of the node such as the wireless propagation environment or the topological environment. Due to this reason, there are limitations to improve the quality of data delivery such as data delivery ratio and delay of data delivery. To solve this problem, we derive a new cost function using the concept of Partially Connected Neural Network (PCNN) which is modeled according to the input types whether inputs are correlated or uncorrelated. The correlated inputs are connected to the hidden layer of the PCNN in a coupled fashion but the uncoupled inputs are in an uncoupled fashion. We also propose the training technique for finding an optimal weight vector in the link cost function. The link cost function is trained to the direction that the packet transmission success ratio of each node maximizes. In the experimental section, we show that our method outperforms other conventional methods in terms of the quality of data delivery and the energy efficiency.

  • The scavenging characteristics have a great influence on the performance of a diesel engine, especially slow-speed two-stroke diesel engines which are usually used as a marine propulsion power plant, and they are greatly affected by the conditions in the cylinder, intake and exhaust manifolds, and the opening and closing timing of scavenging ports or exhaust valves during the gas exchange process. Besides, there are many other factors to affect the scavenging characteristics and these factors interact each other very complicatedly. Therefore the simulation program of the gas exchange process is very useful to improve and predict the scavenging characteristics, due to the high costs associated with redesign and testing. In this paper it was attenpted to investigate the effect of the variation of the pressure ratio of intake to exhaust manifolds, and the variation of the opening and closing timing of a exhaust valve by using a computational program for a three-zone scavenging model which was developed by authors. The computed results showed that the scavenging efficiency and delivery ratio increased considerably, but the trapping efficiency decreased with increasing of the pressure ratio of intake to exhaust manifolds. The scavenging efficiency, trapping efficiency, and th conditions of the cylinder gases were affected by the opening timing of the exhaust valve, but the delivery ratio by the closing timing.

Strategy of Food Retailer and Delivery Rider's Accident in South Korea

  • Purpose: The primary objective of this research is to propose answers of rider's accident of food retailer in South Korea, in view of business sustainability of food retailer and his precious fate of rider who is a father that has a responsibility to the family. Research design, data, and methodology: We investigated previous studies such as food retailer, delivery, delivery application of mobile, rider's accident and statistics of delivery business agency, motorcycle accident ratio, annual fatalist, and further we analyzed cases of rider's accidents. Results: Rider's accident on the road toward food retailer is serious risky factor to their business reputation, corporate image, because claim amount related to death and physical/mental disability can be heavily damaged to food retailer. The point when rider dies is that rider is a person responsible for supporting his/her family, that is, a life itself issue together with downfall of family. Conclusions: In view of growth of South Korean' delivery rider industry, the authors recommended that focus of stability and sustainablity of both food retailer and delivery rider should establish to executable and practical ideas such as rider's readiness, abandon of speed guarantee, duty of delivery app business and legal aids.

농촌유역 유량-유달율 단순회귀식을 이용한 주암호 상류유역의 유달율 추정가능성 평가 (Evaluation of Flow-Pollutant Load Delivery Ratio Equations on Main Subwatersheds within Juam Lake)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate Flow-Pollutant load delivery ratio equations developed from rural watershed on main subwatersheds within Juam Lake. Two regression equations for BOD and three equations for T-P were evaluated on Bosung cheon, Dongbok cheon, Songgwang cheon, Naenam cheon, and Sinpyeon cheon. The results show that estimation of BOD delivery ratio using flow-delivery equation is reliable when relative composition of discharge load of pollutant sources of a watershed is similar to those of watershed where the equation developed. On the other hand, application of regression equation for T-P was feasible when the landuse pattern and relative composition of discharge load of pollutant sources of a watershed is similar to those of watershed where the equation developed.

확산형 흡수식 냉동기용 기포펌프의 운전특성에 관한 연구 (Operating Characteristics of a Bubble Pump for Diffusion-Absorption Refrigerator)

  • Experimental investigation has been carried out to examine the operating characteristics of a bubble pump for diffusion absorption refrigerator. The effects of heat input and delivery height on generation rate of refrigerant vapor and circulation rate of solution have been investigated. as a result heat input and delivery height increase, circulation rate of solution increases. And the smaller the tube diameter, the larger the circulation rate of solution. Pumping ratio increases to a critical point and then decrease with the increase of heat input, and it increases with the increase in delivery height. In this paper, Marcus's analytical theory was also examined. It was found that the Marcus\`s analytical theory of a bubble pump was not appropriate for a bubble pump using ammonia aqueous solution as a working fluid.

산지하천 유역의 토양침식량과 유사유출량 평가 (Estimation of Soil Erosion and Sediment Outflow in the Mountainous River Catchment)

  • 유수에 의한 하천 유역과 하천의 토양의 침식, 유송, 퇴적 현상은 빈번하게 발생한다. 이러한 과도한 현상은 수공구조물의 안전위협, 홍수범람 등의 자연재해를 가중시킨다. 토양침식에 따른 토사재해를 방지하기 위해서는 가장 우선적으로 정확한 유사유출량을 예측할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해서는 유역특성에 적합한 모형의 선정, 관련인자의 정량적인 산출, 가용 수문자료의 확보는 매우 중요하다. 따라서, 본 연구의 목적은 실측자료를 확보하고 있는 설마천 시험유역의 강우량, 유출량, 유사량 자료를 이용하여 강우-유출거동에 따른 토양침식량과 유사유출량을 산정하는데 있다. 그리고 유사전달률 분석을 통하여 설마천 시험유역의 유사전달률을 제안하였다. 향후에는 타 유역에도 적용하여 다양한 조건에서의 토양침식량 및 유사유출량 산정방법의 정형화, 유역 특성별 유사전달률 산정 연구를 하고자 한다.

A Study on the Fundamental Cause of Stall Stagnation Phenomena in Surges in Compressor Systems

  • Although the stall stagnation phenomena have often been experienced in site and also analytically in numerical experiments in surges in systems of compressors and flow paths, the fundamental causes have not been identified yet. In order to clarify the situations, behaviours of infinitesimal disturbance waves superposed on a main flow were studied in a simplified one-dimensional flow model. A ratio of the amplifying rate of the system instability to the characteristic slope of the compressor element was surveyed as the instability enhancement factor. Numerical calculations have shown the following tendency of the factor. In the situation where both the sectional area ratio and the length ratio of the delivery flow-path to the suction duct are sufficiently large, the enhancement factors are greater in magnitude, which means occurrence of ordinary deep surges. However, in the situation where the area ratio and/or the length ratio is relatively smaller, the enhancement factor tends to lessen significantly, which situation tends to suppress deep surges for the same value of the characteristic slope. It could result in the stall stagnation condition. In the domain of area ratio vs. length ratio of the delivery duct to the suction duct, contour-lines of the enhancement factor behave qualitatively similar to those of the stall stagnation boundaries of a fan analytically obtained, suggesting that a certain range of the enhancement factor values could specify the stagnation occurrence. The significant decreases in the factors are observed to accompany appearances of phase lags and travelling waves in the wave motions, which macroscopically suggests breaking down of the complete surge actions of filling and emptying of the air in the delivery duct. The strength of the action is deeply related with acoustic interferences and is evaluated in terms of the volume-modified reduced resonance frequency proposed by the author. These observations have shown the fundamental cause and the sequence of the stall stagnation in principle.

물리적 기반의 유역모형을 이용한 오염물질 유달 특성 규명 (Investigation on the Pollutant Delivery Characteristics using Physically Based Watershed Model)

  • A method of estimating pollutant delivery ratios considering watershed physical and meteorological characteristics and flow conditions using SWAT-K watershed model was described, and pollutant delivery characteristics during dry and rainy seasons, for monthly and seasonally, and with flow regimes were investigated for the Chungju dam watershed. Delivery ratios for sediment, T-N, and T-P showed higher values over 100% during dry and winter seasons with low pollutant loads and flows, and showed relatively uniform ones under 100% during rainy and summer seasons with concentrated loads and flows. It was found that mainly wet flows during summer seasons played very important roles in investigating the delivery characteristics of total or nonpoint pollutant loads, because more than 90% of total loads were influenced by nonpoint source, and discharged with the flows. From the results, we could find out the delivery characteristics with various watershed and flow conditions which are difficult to consider by actual measurement, and could get a foothold of estimating more reasonable and scientific allocated loads for water quality standard using the reliable method of estimating delivery ratios with a watershed model.

다양한 분말화 담체를 이용한 케토코나졸 함유 자가미세유화약물전달시스템의 제조 및 평가 (Preparation and Evaluation of Ketoconazole-loaded Solid-SNEDDS (Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery System) using Various Solidification Carriers)

  • This study aimed to develop a solid self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery system (solid-SNEDDS) to enhance the formulation of ketoconazole (KTZ), a BCS Class II drug with poor solubility. Ketoconazole, which is insoluble above pH 3, requires solubilization for effective delivery. This SNEDDS comprises oil, surfactant, and co-surfactant, which spontaneously emulsify in the gastrointestinal tract environment to form nanoemulsions with droplet sizes less than 100 nm. The optimal SNE-vehicle composition of oleic acid, TPGS, and PEG 400 at a 10:80:10 weight ratio was determined based on the smallest droplet size achieved. This composition was used to prepare liquid SNEDDS containing ketoconazole. The droplet size and polydispersity index (PDI) of the resulting liquid SNEDDS were analyzed. Subsequently, solid-SNEDDS was fabricated using a spray-drying method with solidifying carriers such as silicon dioxide, crospovidone, and magnesium alumetasilicate. The physicochemical properties of the solid-SNEDDS were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and powder X-ray diffraction, and its solubility, droplet size, and PDI were evaluated. In particular, the solid-SNEDDS containing ketoconazole and crospovidone in a 2:1 weight ratio exhibited significantly enhanced solubility, highlighting its potential for improved medication adherence and dissolution rates.

임신가토(姙娠家兎)의 혈청총단백량(血淸總蛋白量)과 단백분획상(蛋白分劃像)에 대(對)하여 (Concentration of Total Protein and Protein Fractions of Sera from Pregnant Rabbits)

  • The total serum protein, protein fractions by paper electrophoresis and A/G ratio in pregnant rabbits were observed. The results obtained in this work were sumrnerized as follows: 1. Total serum protein and the fraction of serum albumin revealed a decrease with the advancing of gestation, especially total serum protein was decreased significantly on 3 weeks of pregnancy. There was a tendency to return tward control level on one week after delivery. 2. The fraction of ${\alpha}_1$, and ${\alpha}_2$-globulin showed little changes during the period of gestation. 3. The fraction of ${\beta}$-globulin was increased more or less during the period of gestation, and on one week after delivery showed considerable increase but the increase was statistically insignificant. 4. The fraction of ${\gamma}$-globulin revealed a variable changes during pregnancy but there was no significant differences. 5. A/G ratio was significantly decreased at 3 weeks of pregnancy and the ratio was near control level on one week after delivery.
