  • The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the service quality of delivery food on customers' emotional response and repurchase intention during the COVID19 pandemic. The proposed research model examined the effect on the service quality, customer sentiment response, and repurchase intention of delivery food. A questionnaire was distributed and measured for 300 consumers who had experience using food delivery services in the last 30 days. The questionnaires from previous researches were revised to fit the purpose of the present study. The survey results were analyzed to verify the reliability and validity of the measured variables. To verify the hypotheses a Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used for the study. The results showed that taste, price fairness, and package design positively affected emotional response; moreover, repurchase intention was enhanced by emotional response. This research analyzed the relationships between service qualities of delivery food, emotional response, and repurchase intention when customers consume delivery food during COVID19 in Korea. This study extends the delivery food literature by combining customers' emotional behavior with SEM model. The result suggested competitive strategic plans and development directions of food delivery companies in the rapidly increasing food delivery industry, providing implications for further research.

  • Purpose: Food delivery services are rapidly increasing due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak. This study examines how much taste, price, brand, and reliability affect the satisfaction of delivery apps and delivery companies in food delivery services, as well as its effects on repurchase intentions. Research design, data and methodology: Empirical analysis was conducted through questionnaire survey on a coffee shop that started delivery services. Reliability and validity were analyzed, and hypotheses were verified through confirmatory factor analysis, discriminant validity analysis, and path analysis using structural equation modelling. Results: The factors affecting the satisfaction of delivery apps at coffee shops were taste and brand image. Only 'taste' had a statistically significant effect on the factor that made consumers feel satisfaction. In addition, satisfaction with delivery apps of coffee shops and delivery companies had a statistically significant effect on repurchase intention. The company should focus on improving the image of the coffee application rather than the corporate image. Conclusions: Now and in the future, F&B companies will have to recognize and respond, as well as rethink on how to deliver satisfaction of delivery apps and delivery companies to consumers in the ever-increasing delivery competition. This study provides implications through satisfaction analysis of coffee delivery apps and companies.

Scores for perceived sanitation management performance of the delivery companies were: food ingredient storage and management (4.47); delivery worker (4.47); and management of delivery van (4.38). The personal hygiene score was significantly higher than those of other sanitation inspection items evaluated (p<0.05). Delivery company managers believed that their sanitation management programs kept food hygienically and that the food was delivered to a high level of safety and at optimal quality. • Purpose: The study aims to assess the current status of domestic public food delivery apps and analyze the process through which sellers choose between private delivery apps and public delivery apps. This involves exploring strategiesto achieve the original purpose of public food delivery apps, which is to enhance the small business owners income and promote consumer welfare by preventing the monopoly of private food delivery apps. Research design, data and methodology: the research methodology is based on a model that introduces adjustments for non-economic effects, considering the preferences of multi-homing consumers, to more realistically reflect the benefits of sellers' choices. For data analysis, real business performance data from 'Daeguro', 'Meokkaebi', and 'Somunnan Shop' were used. Results: The study revealed that if the market share of public delivery apps within a specific region increases beyond a certain level, the benefits for small-business sellers also increase. This leads to the strategic advantage of simultaneously using both delivery apps. Furthermore, the results exhibit a tendency similar to real social phenomena. Conclusions: This analysis confirmed the role of public food delivery apps in the domestic delivery app market and presents policy recommendations, including application integration and the implementation of exclusive public interest functions, to effectively fulfill this role.

Methods: A total of 574 responses were collected from customers who had ordered delivery food for data analysis. Statistical analyses were conducted using the SPSS program (ver. 25.0) for frequency analysis, χ2 tests, t-test, factor analysis, Pearson correlation, multiple regression analysis, and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Results: The importance of delivery food selection attributes was higher in the order of 'hygiene control level (4.72)', 'taste of food (4.64)', and 'delivery accuracy (4.40)'. Satisfaction assessment was higher in the order of 'taste of food (4.32)', 'delivery accuracy (4.26)', and 'convenience of using the delivery app (4.21)'.
