Unlike physical goods, service consists of a chain of activities that allow the service to function effectively. In order to enhance customer experiences, service providers should innovate service processes. Service innovation refers to new or considerably changed service processes that deliver added value to the customers. Unfortunately, many of the activities are invisible to both service providers and consumers. In terms of service innovation, service visualization is very critical. When we visualize the current service process, we can identify its problems. This study suggests service blueprinting as a service innovation methodology. In order to demonstrate the usage of the methodology, this study examines departure/arrival services at the airport.

Almost every mobile phone supports MMS to send and receive multimedia messages among users. MMS is suitable for different types of mobile phones and effectively operates in wireless environments. So the mobile content delivery method using MMS can be efficient. However, there would be some problems if a mobile service provider tries to deliver mobile content to subscribers by using the existing MMS. In this paper, we propose an improved data transmission and control scheme for MMS. Our scheme assists mobile service providers to deliver mobile contents easily by modifying the MMS system software. By using our scheme, mobile service providers are able to manage mobile contents stored in mobile devices. Therefore, they can provide various services such as mobile daily news service, automatic software upgrade service, mobile advertising service, etc. We verify the possibility of the proposed scheme through simulation.

Internet Protocol Television(IPTV) is the use of an IP broadband network to deliver television (cable TV type) services to the end user. Traditional telecommunications service providers as well as alternate service providers and Internet service providers can utilize their IP networks (and broadband consumer access) to deliver broadcast TV, Video on Demand (VOD) and other Internet services to the consumer. As digital technologies progress, illegal copy and redistribution of IPTV content become easier and simpler. Therefore it is required to protect IPTV content or service. In this paper, we analyze the security threats and requirements. We also discuss related issues and solutions for IPTV.

A binary linear integer program is formulated for the problem of expanding the capacity of a fiber optic network and routing the traffic to deliver new interactive multimedia services. A two-phase Lagrangian dual search procedure and a Lagrangian heuristic are developed. Computational results show superior performance of the two-phase subgradient optimization compared with the conventional one-phase approach.

In the era of home automation, we need more context-aware and intelligent service applications than before. For these applications, a service gateway as a platform is required to bridge the gap between external data networks to internal home networks. Empirical studies have shown that government and human service nonprofit organizations have maintained active partnerships to deliver human services for the past several decades. However, the previous researches on resource dependent government-nonprofit service delivery have revealed serious methodological limitations to adequately demonstrate the dynamic relationship between both sectors over time. Since the dynamics underlying the government-nonprofit service delivery is a complex process, in which multiple factors dynamically interact over time, the assumptions of system dynamics can help improve these methodological drawbacks. This study aims to explore methodological issues and weaknesses observed in empirical studies on resource dependent government-nonprofit service delivery in the United States, and further attempts to provide insights on future research toward a dynamic approach, bringing the assumptions of system dynamics to the challenges of the previous researches.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to recognize the role and necessity of public data visualization through prior research, investigation, and data verification processes. In addition, this study intends to check what factors should be considered in order to visualize data on the mobile web. Through this process, by identifying the cognitive load affecting information visualization by type, as a result, I would like to propose an effective information visualization method to effectively deliver public data related to government policies. Research design, data and methodology: In this study, we analyzed the case of information visualization according to infographics, which has been widely used in the public field among various visualization methods. For this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted for young people in their 20s and 30s with the highest mobile usage rate. Results: Based on the results, IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) was performed to conduct cognitive load test tools for information visualization of public data and confirmed the implications for each type of infographics. Conclusions: As a result of research, in order to efficiently deliver public data on the mobile web, first, it is necessary to construct a visual screen that can be easily identified through clear data. Appropriate graphic elements can be used according to the type to make it easier for users to acquire and understand information. Second, it is necessary to provide useful content in visualizing information. Third, in order to efficiently transmit information and increase understanding of data, it is necessary to visualize information that can induce interest in data and form metaphors. Fourth, it is necessary to visualize information to reduce cognitive load in terms of physical and mental aspects in order to accommodate users' comfortable information. Fifth, in order to effectively deliver public data, it is necessary to compose contents and information that are easy for users to understand. This study examines effective information visualization methods to increase the communication effect of public data in response to changes in the data-based intelligent information society and suggests implications for each type considering cognitive loads to help future public institutions to communicate and accept information.

In order for end-users in home networks to receive opportunities for useful services that go beyond legacy Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) services, this paper proposes a service platform that resides on the residential gateway (RG) for interworking between the home network and IPTV. This proposed service platform is called the home-oriented IPTV service platform (HISP) on the RG (HISP-RG). The proposed HISP-RG provides open architecture and functionalities to enable 3rd party IPTV service providers to locally and directly deliver home-oriented IPTV services to end-users in home networks. The HISP-RG can be an "add-on" and not a "built-in" solution for the existing standard RG. This paper introduces several home-oriented IPTV services that can be executed and delivered locally through the HISP-RG. Then, the open architecture and functionalities of the HISP-RG are defined and their requirements are specified. Finally, use cases of the HISP-RG for home-oriented IPTV services are presented.

In our study, we tried to develop and test a model that aids further understanding of the sources of customer loyalty in the 3G telecommunications service. In addition, as the 3G could be understood as an innovative telecommunications service, we assume that the impact of factors related service attributes affecting customer loyalty is moderated by the customer's innovativeness. We analyzed our research model using 3G service users' data in Korea. Our results will have significant strategic implications for firms in this highly competitive industry. Particularly, it can be useful for mobile carriers interested in customer retention management and supposed to deliver a new telecommunications service like the 4G service that is on the horizon.

Meteorological information is essential for the safe operation of aircraft. Many organizations both at home and abroad provide meteorological services for small aircraft flying at a low altitude as a part of open public service and have performed relevant studies. Recently, such a service has been expanded to an online platform in order to deliver information more efficiently. The ultimate goal of this study is to improve the meteorological service for small low-altitude aircraft that mostly travel a short distance for a short time. To achieve this goal, this study considered requirements for developing an effective information delivery system and conducted a survey of user requirements to derive the necessary information that could be used to develop a real service.
