The results of the regression analysis and comparative study between 120 vibration events by dynamite blasting and 68 vibration events by finecker blasting which were monitored in the test blasting are as follows: The ground vibration velocity of dynamite blasting of 0.12 kg charge weight per delay at 7.4 m above the explosive is higher than that of finecker blasting of 0.96 kg charge weight per delay. In the case of 0.12 kg charge weight per delay, the ground vibration velocity of finecker blasting is equal to 5.5% of that of dynamite blasting at the 10 m distance from explosive. The decrement of ground vibration velocity of dynamite blasting of above 0.12 kg charge weight per delay is larger than that of finecker blasting of below 0.96 kg charge weight per delay. The rate of ground vibration velocity of the finecker blasting to that of dynamite blasting decreases with the distance from explosives, but increases with the decrease of charge weight per delay. The increment of ground vibration velocity of finecker blasting is less than that of dynamite blasting with the increase of charge weight per delay at the same distance from explosives. Under the condition of the constant critical ground vibration velocity or use the same charge weight per delay, the blasting working by finecker rather than by dynamite is able to be performed at the nearer place to structures.
The waveform at the blasting pattern using k13 delay electronic detonator depends on the interference of adjacent delay time according to the degree of distance and frequency. The degree of interference affects the size of blasting vibration at a measuring point. This study analyzed the cooperating change characteristics of MS delay blasting separately detonated at intervals of 40m and presented through frequency the delay time design method that is able to reduce the cooperation of blasting vibration at the MS delay blasting.
This report was arrangemented and analysed by blasting previous instance of Nocsan, developing area of national factory town in Pusan since 1994. 11. our team have acquired sequential blasting machine which is used at open blasting sites of other countries. The result of study is that follow ; in case of delay electric detonator of Korea, it is possible to use 300 ~600 blasting holes in 2 charge per delay. But in our experience, it is best condition to use 100~200blasting holes at 1 charge per 1 delay.
This study, a vertical double-deck method using an electronic detonator was applied to increase excavation volume and reduce blast pollution. In the double deck method, there is a possibility that blasting efficiency may be reduced if bottom deck blasting is carried out without the free surface being completely formed after upper deck blasting. And for this reason, the blasting efficiency of the double deck method varies depending on the deck delay time. Therefore, in this study, we proposed four deck delay times applying 1 to 5 times the hole delay time. And blasting efficiency was evaluated according to fragmentation analysis. As a result of the fragmentation evaluation, the fragmentation of pattern 4 (deck delay time = hole delay time×5) was the best, but it was confirmed that fragmentation efficiency increased significantly from pattern 3 (deck delay time = hole delay time×3). Accordingly, it is analyzed that when blasting a vertical double deck, the deck delay time must be at least three times the hole delay time to obtain an efficient blasting effect.
Ground vibration and noise from blasting operation are known to be the most representative constituents which can cause human and material damage. In this study, the effect of delay time on ground vibration is investigated by adopting seven different delay times in bench blasting. For each delay time, three blasting operations were performed. The prediction equations for blasting vibration are derived from 50 sets of measurement and the time theory of Langefors is evoked in the analysis of the blasting vibrations and frequencies. For the delay times of 8 ms and 28 ms, the average values of ground vibration are 5.76 cm/sec and 5.75 cm/sec, respectively, which are considerably low. Also the cyclic variation in the vibration measurements with the delay time confirms the interference effect. From the application of the measurements of blasting vibration and frequency to the time theory of Langefors, it is concluded that the optimum delay times are 8 ms and 24 ms for the test site.
Many methods and techniques to reduce ground vibrations are well known. Some of them are to adopt electric milisecond detonators with a sequential blasting machine or an initiating system with an adequate number of delay intervals. The types of electric detonators munufactured in Korea include instantaneous, decisecond and milisecond delays byt numbers of delay intervals are only limite from No.1 to No.20 respectively. It is not sufficient to control accurately milisecond time with these detonators in tunnel excavation. Sequential fire time refers to adding an external time delay to a detonators norminal firing time to obtain sequential initiation and it is determined by sequential timer setting. To reduce the vibration level, sequential blasting machine with decisecond detonatore was adopted. A total of 134 blasting was recorded at various sites. Blast-to-structure distances ranged from 20.3 to 42.0 meter, where charge weight varied from 0.25 to 0.75 kg per delay. The results can be summarized as follow : 1. The effects of sequential blasting machine on the vibration level are discussed. The vibration level by S.B.M. are decreased approximately 14.38~18.05 to compare to level of conventional blasting and cycle time per round can be saved. 2. The empirical equations of particle velocity were obtained in S,B.M. and conventional blastin. $V=K(D/W^{1/3})-n$. where the values for n and k are estimated to be 1.665 to 1.710 and 93.59 to 137 respectively. 3. The growth of cracks due to vibrations are found but the level fall to within allowable value.
In the analysis of the effects of rock tunnel blasting vibration on adjacent existing buildings, the model of simplified equivalent load produces higher calculation result of vibration, due to the lack of consideration of the millisecond delay effect. This paper, based on the static force equivalence principle of blasting load, proposes a new determination method of equivalent load of blasting vibration. The proposed method, based on the elastic-static force equivalence principle of stress wave, equals the blasting loads of several single blastholes in the same section of millisecond blasting to the triangle blasting load curve of the exploded equivalent elastic boundary surface. According to the attenuation law of stress wave, the attenuated equivalent triangle blasting load curve of the equivalent elastic boundary is applied on the tunnel excavation contour surface, obtaining the final applied equivalent load. Taking the millisecond delay time of different sections into account, the time-history curve of equivalent load of the whole section applied on the tunnel excavation contour surface can be obtained. Based on Sailing Tunnel with small spacing on Sanmenxia-Xichuan Expressway, an analysis on the blasting vibration response of the later and early stages of the tunnel construction is carried out through numerical simulation using the proposed equivalent load model considering millisecond delay effect and the simplified equivalent triangle load curve model respectively. The analysis of the numerical results comparing with the field monitoring ones shows that the calculation results obtained from the proposed equivalent load model are closer to the measured ones and more feasible.
Dynamic fracture processes of rock were analyzed to investigate the influence of the initiation error of the delay detonator in smooth blasting. The analysis models for the smooth blasting considered two blast geometries with three charge holes, and the simultaneous initiations without initiation error, with the initiation error of electronic delay detonator and with the initiation error of pyrotechnically delay detonator(DS detonator) were applied to the charge holes. In order to examine the effect of electronic and DS initiation detonator on the smooth blasting, the fracture process results were analyzed statistically.
Methods of Rock fragmentation are used rock of housing repair development at KU-SAN DONG area in seoul Youn-Pyong Ku. So, Theorical analyses of the effect of vibration and frequency on structural damage around old housed also discussed. The results can be summarized as follows: 1. A area(Rock area not more than 15m Ku-San Mention) Some Empirical equations were obtained $V=K\{{\frac{D}{W}}1/3\}^{-n}$ where the values for n and K are estimated to be -1.64 and 94 respectively, this values were obtained only theorical analyses. If we have 125g charge this area is impossible blasting operation, so this area must be worked by SRS(Super Rock Splitter) method. 2. B area(Rock area from 15m to 25m in a boundary line from Ku-San Mention) This area charge is about 125g in a delay time by some empirical equation s. So, this area can be blasting operations by small charge. 3. C area(Rock area from 25m to 35m in a boundary line from Ku-San Mention) This area charge is about 500g in delay time by some empirical equation s. So, this area can be blasting operations by middle charge. 4. D area(Rock area more then 35m in a boundary line from Ku-San Mention) This area charge is about 1000g in a delay time by some empirical equation s. So, this area can be blasting operations by middle charge.
In this study, the effect of the hole spacing and the detonation delay time in the long hole blasting of two free surface rock mass on the variation of the principal strains in the vicinity of blasting holes is investigated by use of the finite element program, Visual FEA. The cross section perpendicular to blasting holes is modelled and the maximum principal strains at some major points in the cracking zone are examined. As a result, it was found that the maximum principal strain in the cracking zone becomes larger in the long hole blasting with the narrower hole spacing and the longer detonation delay time. The maximum principal strain was affected by the detonation position in charge hole.
