사과의 성숙에 따른 Pectin질의 변화 (Changes in the Pectic Substance during Maturity of Apple)

  • Fuji 과실의 성숙에 따른 pectin 질의 변화를 조사하기 위하여 LMP (low methoxy pectin), HMP (high methoxy pectin) IAP (ionically associated pectin), CBP (covalently bounded pectin), methoxyl 및 구성당의 함량변화와 DE(degree of esterification)를 조사하였다. 그 결과 LMP+HMP와 IAP+CBP는 AIS(alcohol insoluble solid)의 각각 70%, 22%를 차지하였고 이들 성분은 성숙에 따라 다소 증가하였다. Pectose 질을 구성하는 중성당중 hexose는 LMP, HMP, IAP, CBP 다같이 $20{\sim}50%$가 감소하였는데 특히 Gal의 감소율은 63%이었다. Pentose는 $1{\sim}9%$가 증가하였고 uronic acid는 $2{\sim}4%$감소하였다. 그러나 HMP, CBP에서는 uronic acid의 상대적 함유비율은$3{\sim}5%$ 증가되었다.

숙기별 사일리지용 옥수수의 생육 및 수량변화 (Variation of Growth and Yield of Silage Corn According to Maturity)

  • This study was carried out at Crop Experiment Station in 1993 and 1994. The objective of this study was finding out variation of growth and yield of corn according to maturity. Hybrids of corn used in this study were early maturing corn Comet80, Elite90, Royaldent IOOT, Royaldent T$\times$llO, P3525, P3394, medium maturing corn Royaldent 120T. and late maturing corn Jungbuok, P3144W. G4743. Stalk height, leaf number, ear weight, stover weight, and TDN yield of early maturing corn were linearly increased with prolonged maturity in 1993 growing season. Leaf number, and stover weight of early and late maturing corn were linearly increased with prolonged maturity in 1994 growing season. But ear weight of late manuring corn was not increased as much as that of early manuring corn with prolonged maturity. Increase of total DM and TDN yield of late maturing corn was due to stover weight increase compared with ear weight increase of early maturing corn. Leaf number and stover weight were highly correlated with silk (Growing Degree Days) GDD.

Effect of Sowing Dates on Flowering and Maturity of Sesame

  • To identity the effect of sowing dates on flowering and maturity of sesame, some agronomic traits including days to flowering and days to maturity were investigated under five different sowing dates. Plant height, days to flowering, days to maturity, days from flowering to maturity and number of capsules per plant were showed significantly different by years, sowing dates and varieties. Interaction between sowing dates and varieties affected to days to flowering, days to maturity, days from flowering to maturity and number of capsules per plant. Plant height, days to flowering and days to maturity decreased significantly as sowing dates were delayed, but number of capsules and seed weight per plant showed highest at the sowing date of May 10. At the regression analysis of shortness degree of growth period by the response of days to flowering and days to maturity under different sowing dates, sesame varieties with earlier flowering habit were much less affected by day length rather than ones with later flowering habit. $R^2$ and gradient value on the days to maturity regression graph were smaller indicating that maturity was much less sensitivity than flowering to the change of day length and temperature in the move of sowing dates. Therefore, it would be concluded that early maturity sesame varieties have higher potential adaptability to various sesame cropping systems in view of their less sensitivity to day length changes under different sowing dates.

프로세스 성숙도가 기업 R&D 프로젝트의 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Process Maturity on the Performance of Industrial R&D Projects)

  • The major objective of this paper is to empirically examine the effect of process maturity on the performance of industrial R&D projects. Process maturity, a fundamental concept of the Capability Maturity Model developed by Software Engineering Institute, represents the essential of Total Quality Management (TQM). Based on literature, our research model constructs process maturity in terms of structured process, goal setting and controlling, metrics, and process learning; and links it to the R&D performance that consists of technical, commercial and managerial successes. The model also includes firm size as a moderator of different effects that process maturity may have across firms. Measures for process maturity are based on the best practices identified in literature. Data are obtained from 77 successful R&D projects carried out by Korean manufacturing firms. Multiple regression and t-test are used to test proposed hypotheses. Findings are as follows. (1) In the R&D process, process maturity partially contributes to the performance of R&D projects. More specifically, goal setting and controlling-related practices drive both technical and commercial successes, while process learning-related practices drive commercial success. In contrast, traditionally emphasized elements such as structured process or metrics are found not to be significant. (2) The degree of process maturity is significantly higher in large firms. (3) Process maturity impacts on commercial success in the case of large firms, whereas it does on technical success in the case of small firms. The results imply that the TQM principles are partially associated with R&D performance, and the nature of benefit from high maturity could vary according to firm size.

중학생의 진로태도성숙에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors influencing Career Attitude Maturity in Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 진로직업의식, 학교진로활동참여, 학교진로활동만족도와 진로태도성숙의 관계를 파악하며 학교진로활동 활성화 및 진로태도성숙을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 수집된 301명의 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 통해 기술통계, t분석, ANOVA, 상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 진로태도성숙은 여학생이 남학생보다 높았으며, 진로와 직업의식에 대해 생각을 자주할수록 진로태도성숙 수준이 높았다. 진로태도성숙에 영향을 미치는 변인은 성별, 진로직업의식, 진로활동만족도로 나타났다. 이에 성별간 차별화되고 개개인의 욕구에 부합하는 진로활동 프로그램 및 진로와 직업의식 향상을 위한 정보제공이 요구된다.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify career maturity, achievement goal, learning attitude and academic achievement relation with subjects-related career education of middle school students. To achieve these aims, this study used SELS(Seoul education longitudinal study) of Seoul Education Research & Information Institute. Also, analysis as well as descriptive statistics calculation on average, deviation, skewness and kurtosis of variable factor and calculated characteristic item and degree of reliability(Cronbach ${\alpha}$). For goodness of fit test, this study used TLI(Tucker-Lewis index) and RMSEA(Root mean square error of approximation). To achieve the ultimate objects, this study used LMA(latent mean analysis) for analysis of difference career maturity, achievement goal, learning attitude and academic achievement relation with subjects-related career education in middle school students. The results are as follows. First, experience relation with subjects-related career education were influenced on career maturity with career cognition. Second, experience relation with subjects-related career education were influenced on achievement goal, learning attitude, and larger than career maturity and academic achievement. Third, experience relation with subjects-related career education were influenced on middle school students more than inexperienced relation with subjects-related career education.

  • Combining ability study was carried out on the components of synchronization in maturity and determinate growth habit in mungbean, using 6$\times$6 diallel cross. Both additive and non-additive gene effects were found conditioning the inheritance of days to first flower, days between first pod and 90% pod maturity (DDd1), plant height from first pod stage to 90% pod maturity (DDhl, DDh2, and DDh3). Only non-additive gene action was important in degree of determination from first pod stage to 90% pod maturity (DDd2). While only additive action was important in plant height at first flower. The predominant additive gene action was observed in all traits but non-additive was significant in only DDd$_2$. For synchronization in maturity, determinate growth habit, and their components, the best combiners were NM92, VCl560D, and NM89, whereas the best indeterminate combinations were NM92 $\times$ NM89, NM92 $\times$ VCl560D, and NM92 $\times$ ML-5.

초산 전처리 배추김치의 발효중 엽신 및 중륵별 김치숙성도 평가 (Evaluation of the degree of maturity of Chinese cabbage blades and midribs pretreated with dilute acetic acid solutions during Kimchi fermentation)

  • 본 연구의 김치시료는 절인 배추를 수세하여 초산 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.1%의 수용액에서 10분간 침지 후 건져서 김치를 제조하였다. 김치발효중 배추를 중륵과 엽신별로 그 숙성도변화를 관찰하고, 초산첨가 농도에 따른 영향을 알아 보았다. 또한 김치숙성도 판정을 위한 여러방법(pH, 총산도, 휘발성산도, ascorbic acid함량, resazurin test value, pH/acidity ratio)간의 상관성을 검토하였다. 중륵과 엽신의 숙성도는 pH와 산도를 기준으로 관찰할 때 중륵이 엽신보다 숙성이 빠른 경향으로 나타났으며, 적숙기이후에는 별 차이가 없었다. 1$0^{\circ}C$에서 배추김치의 발효중 대조구와 초산전처리구의 특징에 따른 차이는 별로 나타나지 않았다. 초산전처리한 김치는 pH와 총산도를 기준으로 볼 때 대조구에 비하여 김치의 숙성을 앞당기는 경향이었으며, 0.01% 초산전처리구만이 김치의 가식기간을 연장하는 듯 하였다. 이러한 결과는 Ascorbic acid 함량이 비교적 높게 유지된 것으로도 확인할 수 있었다. 휘발성산도는 초산전처리농도가 높을수록 높게 나타났으며, ascorbic acid 함량은 엽신보다 중륵에서 높은 값을 보였고, 초산전처리농도가 높을수록 낮아지는 경향을 나타냈다. 본 실험의 적숙기인 발효 제 3~6일의 pH는 4.6~4.4, 총산도는 0.4~0.5%, ascorbic acid함량은 7.5~11.5 mg%, RV는 4.5~5.0 그리고 pH/acidity ratio는 9~10을 나타냈다. 1$0^{\circ}C$에서 발효시킨 김치의 중륵과 엽신의 RV, 휘발 성산도, ascorbic-acid함량 그리고 pH/acidity ratio는 pH, 총산도와 상관성이 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다.

Development of Composting Technology in Animal Waste Treatment - Review -

  • Solid animal wastes in Japan are treated mainly by composting. The composting process under controlled conditions is able to convert the wastes into high-quality organic fertilizer. Various types of composting facilities with/without forced aeration and turning device are available. Characterization of the maturing process during composting was studied, to improve the quality of compost and to make the degree of maturity. Recycling of animal wastes as compost without any environmental pollution will be closely related to the development of sustainable agriculture with organic fertilizer in Japan.

Leverage and Bankruptcy Risk - Evidence from Maturity Structure of Debt: An Empirical Study from Vietnam

  • This study examines the relationship between debt maturity structure and bankruptcy risk. There are various studies of leverage's effect on bankruptcy risk. Debt maturity, however, has not received the attention it deserves, especially in emerging markets with a high degree of information asymmetry. Using Vietnamese listed company data and various estimations, we find that leverage is positively associated with the likelihood of default. Importantly, short-term leverage shows a significantly positive effect on bankruptcy risk, while long-term leverage does not show significant results. The findings highlight that rollover risk firms are exposed to when using short-term debt increases bankruptcy risk. Meanwhile, firms do not cope with this risk in case of long-term debt adoption. High information asymmetry in emerging markets may be the main reason for the difference. The result is robust for subsamples of firms in different financial conditions, in concentrated and competitive industries, as well as for manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies. We also find that firms in a better financial situation and concentrated industries experience a higher short-term leverage effect than their counterparts. We, however, do not find a significant difference in the impact between manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies. This paper is among the first to examine the relation between debt maturity and bankruptcy risk in Vietnam.
