In this study, optimal adhesion conditions to alleviate defects caused by heat shrinkage with FDM type 3D printers with machine learning are researched. Machine learning is one of the "statistical methods of extracting the law from data" and can be classified as supervised learning, unsupervised learning and reinforcement learning. Among them, a function model for adhesion between the bed and the output is presented using supervised learning specialized for optimization, which can be expected to reduce output defects with FDM type 3D printers by deriving conditions for optimum adhesion between the bed and the output. Machine learning codes prepared using Python generate a function model that predicts the effect of operating variables on adhesion using data obtained through adhesion testing. The adhesion prediction data and verification data have been shown to be very consistent, and the potential of this method is explained by conclusions.

Ethmoid myoepithelial carcinoma is a rare tumor, with only 14 cases reported to date. This report discusses the largest tumor of this type ever recorded in the ethmoid region. The tumor caused extensive damage to facial structures, complicating treatment. The patient's age and comorbidities increased the risk of intraoperative bleeding, presenting challenges to the complete removal of the tumor and the reconstruction of the damaged structures. To reduce the risk of intraoperative hemorrhage, shorten the surgery time, and manage potential heart-related complications, arterial embolization was performed using gelatin sponges and coils. Definitive surgery was then carried out using a skin flap and mucosal flap to successfully reconstruct the defect. Postoperative radiotherapy was deemed unnecessary. The patient recovered well, with a satisfactory aesthetic outcome. No recurrence was observed during a 3-year follow-up period.
Air accumulation in the cranial cavity is referred to as pneumocephalus. Tension pneumocephalus is a neurosurgical emergency that can cause headaches, seizures, reduced consciousness, and even death owing to increased intracranial pressure. We report a case of tension pneumocephalus. The patient underwent a frontal sinusotomy for a mass invading the frontal sinus and nasal cavity. One month later, the patient was admitted to the emergency room with seizures and neurotic symptoms, and computed tomography (CT) revealed tension pneumocephalus with significant gas dilatation of both lateral ventricles. Prompt treatment of the dural defect resulted in the immediate improvement of neurological signs. A CT re-examination 1 week after surgery showed that the pneumocephalus had completely resolved. Tension pneumocephalus should be considered a potential complication in patients with worsening neurological signs after skull base surgery. An accurate diagnosis requires an understanding of imaging features and a high index of suspicion, and immediate intervention is essential.
Convergent all-electron multi-reference configuration-interaction (MRCI) calculations are performed for a lithium dimer with Kaufmann's Rydberg basis functions. A comparison of the results of these calculations with those of the effective core potential/core polarization potential (ECP/CPP) method and experimental data reveals the deficiency of the all-electron ab initio method. The deficiency is related to the mere 51.9% attainment of electron correlation for the ground state. The percent attainment of electron correlation for the first excited state is slightly better than that for the ground state, preventing us from obtaining better agreements with experimental data by means of increasing the size of basis sets. The Kaufmann basis functions are then used with the ECP/CPP method to obtain the accurate convergent potential energy curves for the $^1\prod_u$ states correlated to Li(2p) + Li(2p) and Li(2s) + Li(n = 2, 3, 4). Quantum defect curves (QDCs) calculated for both the $X^2\sum_g$ and 1 $^2\prod_u$ states of the $Li{_2}^+$ ion and the Lu-Fano plot reveal a strong series-series interaction between the two $2snp{\pi}$ and $2pnp{\pi}$ Rydberg series. The QDCs are then used to resolve assignment problems in the literature. The reassignments, performed by Jedrzejewski-Szemek et al., of the dissociation product of the D $^1\prod$ state from (2s+3d) to (2s+3p) and that of the 6 $^1\prod_u$ from (2s+4d) to (2s+4p) are found to be incorrect. It may be more natural to assign their $2snp{\pi}$ Rydberg series as a $2snd{\pi}$ series. The state, assigned as 5p $^1\prod_u$ by Ross et al. and 4d $^1\prod$ by Jedrzejewski-Szemek et al., is assigned as the 7 $^1\prod_u$ state, correlated to the Li(2s) + Li(4f) limit.

The electro-deposition of compound semiconductors has been attracting more attention because of its ability to rapidly deposit nanostructured materials and thin films with controlled morphology, dimensions, and crystallinity in a costeffective manner (1). In particular, low band-gap $A_2B_3$-type chalcogenides, such as $Sb_2Te_3$ and $Bi_2Te_3$, have been extensively studied because of their potential applications in thermoelectric power generator and cooler and phase change memory. Thermoelectric $Sb_xTe_y$ films were potentiostatically electrodeposited in aqueous nitric acid electrolyte solutions containing different ratios of $TeO_2$ to $Sb_2O_3$. The stoichiometric $Sb_xTe_y$ films were obtained at an applied voltage of -0.15V vs. SCE using a solution consisting of 2.4 mM $TeO_2$, 0.8 mM $Sb_2O_3$, 33 mM tartaric acid, and 1M $HNO_3$. The stoichiometric $Sb_xTe_y$ films had the rhombohedral structure with a preferred orientation along the [015] direction. The films featured hole concentration and mobility of $5.8{\times}10^{18}/cm^3$ and $54.8\;cm^2/V{\cdot}s$, respectively. More negative applied potential yielded more Sb content in the deposited $Sb_xTe_y$ films. In addition, the hole concentration and mobility decreased with more negative deposition potential and finally showed insulating property, possibly due to more defect formation. The Seebeck coefficient of as-deposited $Sb_2Te_3$ thin film deposited at -0.15V vs. SCE at room temperature was approximately 118 ${\mu}V/K$ at room temperature, which is similar to bulk counterparts.

InGaZnO (IGZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) are very promising due to their potential use in high performance display backplane [1]. However, the stability of IGZO TFTs under the various stresses has been issued for the practical IGZO applications [2]. Up to now, many researchers have studied to understand the sub-gap density of states (DOS) as the root cause of instability [3]. Nomura et al. reported that these deep defects are located in the surface layer of the IGZO channel [4]. Also, Kim et al. reported that the interfacial traps can be affected by different RF-power during RF magnetron sputtering process [5]. It is well known that these trap states can influence on the performances and stabilities of IGZO TFTs. Nevertheless, it has not been reported how these defect states are created during conventional RF magnetron sputtering. In general, during conventional RF magnetron sputtering process, negative oxygen ions (NOI) can be generated by electron attachment in oxygen atom near target surface and accelerated up to few hundreds eV by self-bias of RF magnetron sputter; the high energy bombardment of NOIs generates bulk defects in oxide thin films [6-10] and can change the defect states of IGZO thin film. In this study, we have confirmed that the NOIs accelerated by the self-bias were one of the dominant causes of instability in IGZO TFTs when the channel layer was deposited by conventional RF magnetron sputtering system. Finally, we will introduce our novel technology named as Magnetic Field Shielded Sputtering (MFSS) process [9-10] to eliminate the NOI bombardment effects and present how much to be improved the instability of IGZO TFTs by this new deposition method.

Bone graft has been used to repair one defect caused by disease and trauma, congenital and acquired deformities. Graft materials are autogenous bone, allogenic bone, xenogenic bone, synthetics. Autogenous bone graft is the most superior to other materials for immunologic reaction, compatibility to host tissue, and revascularization. However, autogenous bone graft is required for additional operation and the amount of taking is limited. Autografts are obtained at own expense and also limited in size, shape. In order to compensate these problems, allogenic bone graft has been used increasingly. But allogenic bone graft encounters immunologic complications. Therefore, it has been used after freezing, lyophilization, or demineralization. Allogenic bone processed by only lyophilization includes potential antigenic properties on its surface, therefore it is demineralized to deplete immunologic reaction. Demineralized bone releases BMP and helps the mesenchymal cells transform to the chondroblast to produce cartilage and bone. This reaction is called osteoinducation. Many authors have reported that mineralized lyophilized bone had less antigenicity clinically and favorable bony consideration with host bone. In our department from 1995 to now, we have used banked allogenic bone graft that has been prepared from Wonkwang Bone Bank in 5 cases and mineralized lyophilized bone graft in 2 cases to reconstruct the maxillofacial bone defect after tumor resection and cyst enucleation and cleft alveolus. We will report with literature review that the result is favorable functionally and esthetically.
Moyamoya disease is an unusual cerebrovascular disorder characterized by occlusive intimal dysplasia of the distal internal carotid and proximal cerebral arteries, but the etiology remains unclear. Angiographic characteristics include bilateral stenosis or occlusion of the terminal portions of the intracranial internal carotid arteries and bilateral development of fine collateral vessels at the base of the brain known as ‘Moyamoya vessels’. Cardiac surgery using cardiopulmonary bypass due to coronary artery disease and others among patients with moyamoya disease is very rare, and cardiac surgery for such patients has a potential risk of intraoperative and perioperative brain ischemia. We successfully treated a patient who underwent artrial septal defect closure and coronary artery bypass graft using the cardiopulmonary bypass, so we report this case with a brief literature review.
Algorithm which can analyze the slope failure behavior utilizing the comprehensive information of the dense point of joint poles and the joint set orientations, both of which are obtained statistically, and the defect pattern of pole distribution has been developed. This method overcomes the potential incorrectness of the hemispheric projection method utilizing the joint set orientations only and also enhances the reliability of slope failure analysis. To this end a method capable of calculating the joint dispersion index directly from the joint pole distribution, instead of contour map, has been devised. The representative orientations for the slope failure analysis has been determined by considering the number and orientations of cone angle-dependent joint sets as well as the joint dispersion index. By engaging these representative orientations to the hemispheric projection analysis more reliable slope failure examination has been carried out. Sensitivity analysis for the potentially unstable slope of plane failure mode has been performed. Significance of joint strength index and the external seismic loading on the slope stability has been fully analyzed.

Purpose: Skin and soft tissue defect is one of the major challenges faced by plastic surgeons. Adipose derived stromal cells, which can be harvested in large quantities with low morbidity, display multilineage mesodermal potential. Therefore, adipose derived stromal cells have been met with a great deal of excitement by the field of tissue engineering. Recently, Adipose derived stromal cells have been isolated and cultured to use soft tissue restoration. In order to apply cultured cells for clinical purpose, however, FDA approved facilities and techniques are required, which may be difficult for a clinician who cultures cells in a laboratory dedicated to research to utilize this treatment for patients. In addition, long culture period is needed. Fortunately, adipose derived stromal cells are easy to obtain in large quantities without cell culture. The purpose of this study is to present a possibility of using uncultured adipose derived stromal cells for wound coverage. Methods: Seven patients who needed skin and soft tissue restoration were included. Five patients had diabetic foot ulcers, 1 patient got thumb amputation, and 1 patient had tissue defect caused by resection of squamous cell carcinoma. The patients' abdominal adipose tissues were obtained by liposuction. The samples were digested with type I collagenase and centrifuged to obtain adipose derived stromal cells. The isolated adipose derived stromal cells were applied over the wounds immediately after the wound debridement. Fibrin was used as adipose derived stromal cells carrier. Occlusive dressing was applied with films and foams and the wounds were kept moist until complete healing. Results: One hundred to one hundred sixty thousand adipose derived stromal cells were isolated per ml aspirated adipose tissue. All patients' wounds were successfully covered with the grafted adipose derived stromal cells in a 17 to 27 day period. No adverse events related to this treatment occurred. Conclusion: The use of uncultured adipose derived stromal cells was found to be safe and effective treatment for wound coverage without donor site morbidity.
