수직 진동 운동이 노인의 균형, 보행속도, 근력 및 낙상효능감에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Exercise with Vertical Vibration on the Balance, Walking Speed, Muscle Strength and Falls Efficacy in the Elderly)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to determine if an exercise program with vertical vibration can improve balance, walking speed, muscle strength and falls efficacy in the healthy elderly. METHODS: A total of 28 elderly were randomly divided into two groups: vertical vibration exercise group (exercise with vertical vibration) (N = 14) and control group (exercise without vibration) (N = 14). The exercise program, comprising calf raise, deep-squat, semi-squat, front lunge, and leg abduction was conducted with or without vibration, respectively. Subjects in each group participated in the 30 minutes training program, 2 times per week for 6 weeks. In both groups, the balance evaluation system (BT4) was used to evaluate standing balance, and walking speed was measured using the 10MWT. The manual muscle test system was applied to evaluate the knee extensor and ankle planter flexor muscle strength of the subjects, whereas the Korean falls efficacy scale (K-FES) evaluated the falls efficacy. RESULTS: After intervention, the vertical vibration group showed significantly higher changes compared to the control group, in the parameters of standing balance (P < .05), 10MWT (P < .05), left knee extensor (P < .05), right knee extensor (P < .01), both ankle plantar flexors (P < .05), and K-FES (P < .05). CONCLUSION: The exercise program with vertical vibration has the potential to improve balance, walking speed, muscle power and falls efficacy in the elderly.

12주간의 복합트레이닝이 국가대표 여자럭비선수들의 FMS(Functional Movement Screen) 점수에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Combined Training on the FMS Score in Woman Rugby National Players)

  • 이 연구는 FMS를 통하여 선수들의 상해에 대한 위험요인 등을 찾아내고 이를 복합트레이닝프로그램에 적용하여 선수들의 신체 불균형 및 기초체력, 근 기능을 개선함으로써 FMS 점수에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 규명하고 국가대표 여자 럭비선수들의 경기력을 향상시키고자 실시되었다. 제17회 인천아시안게임에 참가를 준비하는 국가대표 여자럭비선수 14명을 대상으로 하여 FMS 검사를 실시하였으며, 2014년 5월~8월까지 12주간 복합트레이닝프로그램을 실시하여(주4회/120분${\geq}$) 복합트레이닝 전 후의 FMS 점수를 paired t-test를 통해 검증하였다. 이 연구의 결과에서 Deep Squat와 Hurdle Step, Active Straight Leg Raise, Trunk Stability Push up의 항목에서는 12주간의 복합트레이닝 전보다 트레이닝 후에 FMS의 점수가 유의하게 증가되었으며(p<.05), Inline Lunge(p<.01)와 Rotary Stability(p<.001)에서도 트레이닝 후, 유의하게 증가된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전체 항목의 점수 합산도 복합트레이닝 후에 유의하게 증가되었다(p<.001). 그러나 Shoulder Mobility 항목에서 유일하게 트레이닝 후에 약간 증가하는 경향을 보였지만 통계적 유의수준에는 도달하지 못하였다. 이상의 결과에서 복합트레이닝프로그램이 FMS 점수를 유의하게 증가시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 이는 국가대표 여자럭비선수들의 상해 위험성이 줄이는데 효과가 있음을 의미한다. 또한 주기적인 FMS의 평가는 선수들의 상해예방과 경기력 향상에 도움일 될 것으로 사료된다.

천수에서 전진하는 선박의 선체 및 추진기 주위 유동 수치 해석 (NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE FLOW AROUND THE HULL AND THE PROPELLER OF A SHIP ADVANCING IN SHALLOW WATER)

  • This paper provides numerical results of the simulation for the flow around the hull and the propeller of KCS model ship advancing in shallow water conditions. A finite volume method is used to solve the unsteady Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) equations, where the wave-making problem is solved by using a volume-of-fluid(VOF) method. The wave formed near the hull surface in shallow water conditions shows a deep trough dominant pattern that causes the loss of buoyancy followed by hull squat. The flow past the hull increases as the depth of water decreases. However, the axial flow velocity around the stern shows a reduction in magnitude by the effect of shallow water accompanied by the hull-propeller interaction. As a results, the thrust and torque coefficient increase about 8.3% and 6.2%, respectively for a depth of h/T=3.0 corresponding to a depth Froude number of $F_h=0.693$. The resistance coefficient increases about 11.6% at this Froude number condition.

운동유무가 20대 성인여성의 FMS점수에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Regular Exercise on the FMS Score in 20s Females)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the stability and balance of the body, mobility complex exercise group and a student group for FMS tests to compare the differences between the two groups to identify its purpose. Method : The subjects of this study FMS measuring D University Physical Therapy, a student enrolled patients (7:7), and 7 patients total of 14 patients was conducted, compound exercise group weekly stretching 10 minutes, the 24 members who have run a complex exercise, 10 minutes of cool down stretching, 20-minute aerobic exercise were included in the study. Result : The results of this study, according to 1) Deep squat, Inline lunge, Trunk Stability Push-up there was significant difference(p<0.05), compound exercise group came out significantly higher. 2) Hurdle Step, Shoulder Mobility Reaching, Active Straight-leg Raise, Rotary stability in measured target these women flexibility because the test items that did not show a significant difference(p>0.05), the two groups averaged compared to the other items were higher. Complex exercise group, a statistically significant difference was overall average. Conclusion : FMS can not be resolved because of a compensatory mechanism to identify disparities and unbalanced movement patterns can help. Therefore, if the FMS and other tests conducted by splicing, will be utilized more profitably, and you will be able to suggest ways that can have a positive impact injury prevention is added to the side to expand the scope of the physical therapist.

The correlation between the physical power of golf players and the Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 test

  • Objective: This was a correlation study for predicting the power to improve the distance of golf players and developing an effective power program. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: The subjects of this study were 24 healthy males and females in their 20s and 30s who were golf athletes living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. In the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 test, the twelve swing characteristics include components of stability, mobility, body conditioning ability, and balance. The power test consisted of a vertical jump (VJ) in order to examine the power of the lower body, the seated chest pass (SCP) was used to examine upper body power, and the sit up and throw (SUAT) was used to examine the power of the upper body and core for the TPI Level 2 test. Results: The results of this study showed that the 90/90 was correlated with VJ, SUAT, and SCP scores (p<0.05). Single leg stance was correlated with VJ, SUAT, over head deep squat, and bridge with leg extension were correlated with VJ (p<0.05). The toe touch was correlated with SUAT results (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results of this study showed that the TPI Level 1 test and power test were correlated with the performance of the golf players. Future studies have shown that fitness program development and further research are needed.

치료적 운동이 축구 특이적 골반 앞 기울임을 가진 유소년 축구선수 엉덩관절의 관절가동범위, 도수근력, 기능적 움직임 및 방사선학적 평가에 미치는 영향: 증례보고 (Effects of Therapeutic Exercise on Hip Joint Range of Motion, Manual Muscle Test, Functional Movement Screen and Radiological Evaluation in a Youth Football Player with Football-specific Anterior Pelvic Tilt: A Case Report)

  • PURPOSE: This study was conducted to determine the effects of therapeutic exercise on range of motion (ROM), the manual muscle test (MMT), functional movement screen (FMS) and radiological evaluation in a youth football player with football-specific anterior pelvic tilt (APT). METHODS: The subject of this case report was a 12-year-old youth football player, who presented with football-specific APT. Therapeutic exercise consisted of hamstring stretch, prone hip extension, abdominal crunch, bridging with isometric hip abduction, plank exercise with posterior tilt and posterior pelvic tilting exercise using a swiss-ball for 40 min/day, twice a week for 8-weeks. ROM, MMT, FMS (deep squat, hurdle step, inline lunge, shoulder mobility, active straight-leg raise, rotary stability and trunk stability push-up) and radiographs (lumbar lordotic and sacral horizontal angle) were analyzed before and after week 8 of therapeutic exercise. RESULTS: The ROM, MMT, and FMS increased and the lumbar lordotic angle and sacral horizontal angle improved after 8-weeks of therapeutic exercise. CONCLUSION: The results of this case report suggest that therapeutic exercise improves ROM, MMT and radiography associated parameters in youth football players with football-specific APT. These findings have clinical implications for therapeutic exercise in youth football players with football-specific APT.

Effects of Czech get up Exercise on Functional Movement and Dynamic Balance in Female Office Worker

  • 이 연구는 30~40대 사무직 여성들을 대상으로 아동 운동 발달학 원리를 바탕으로 한 체코 겟업 운동이 기능적 움직임 및 동적 균형 능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하고자 실시하였다. 무작위 배정을 통해 체코 겟 업 운동 집단(CGUG, n=15)과 통제 집단(CG, n=14)을 구성하여 12주, 주 3회, 일 60분씩 운동을 적용하였으며, 통제 집단은 동일 기간 일상생활을 유지하도록 하였다. 이 연구 결과 체코 겟 업 운동 후 딥 스쿼트(p<.001), 허들 스텝(p<.001), 인라인 런지(p<.001), 푸쉬업(p<.001), 회전 안정성(p<.01) 및 총 점수(p<.001), 상체 동적균형능력(p<.001)과 우측 하체 동적균형능력(p<.001)에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면 아동 운동 발달학을 원리로 한 체코 겟 업 운동이 사무직 성인 여성들의 기능적 움직임 및 동적 균형 능력에 긍정적인 효과를 주어 건강한 삶뿐만 아니라 근로 효율 또한 높일 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
