  • Dual channel Radiometer for Earth and Atmospheric Monitoring (DREAM) is the main payload on Science and Technology SATellite-2 (STSAT-2) of Korea. DREAM is two-channel microwave radiometer with linear polarization, and operating at center frequencies of 23.8 GHz and 37 GHz. An equation for DREAM calibration is derived which accounts for losses and re-radiation in the microwave components of the radiometer due to physical temperature. This paper describes the radiometric calibration equation to get antenna temperature ($T_A$) from the measured output data. At lower altitude, the measured deep space temperature is contaminated by middle atmosphere and earth radiation. In this paper, we presented the detail mathematical formulation to find the altitude up to which cold source brightness temperature is not affected by earth and middle atmosphere radiation. The DREAMPFM data is used to calculate the performance parameters (linearity, sensitivity, dynamic range, and etc.) of the system.

  • Classical literature texts have been transmitted and recreated as subjective meanings in a wide variety of genres. Authors recreate another world with their own imagination and classical literature texts. This study has been conducted to analysis 'OnDal's Dream' which is an adaptation from 'OnDalJeon' in order to figure out the method of inheritance and the subject and message of the adaptation. The process of inheritance and acculturation appears in the literary world. Some adaptations stick to the genre of the original text, other adaptations change to various genres. There is the process of inheritance and acculturation in the aspect of structure of the adaptation 'OnDal's Dream'. lntertextuality can be found between 'OnDalJeon' and 'OnDal's Dream' in terms of the stages such as 'confrontation' between the ego and the world and 'overcoming' hardships. However, the recreation text has acculturation of the structure that shows the potential desire for elevation of social status at the end part of the work so I could possibly show that the adaptation has limitation because it was far from the dream of common people and laborers at that time. There are different structures and recognition systems between 'OnDal Jeon' and 'OnDal's Dream' because the formal is an epic tale the other is lyric tale. An epic tale has some partial symbols in its story line, while an lyric tale is a symbol as a whole. There is an exhibition of deep emotion which is subjectivized and symbolized against the world in the adaptation 'OnDal's Dream'. And the inheritance of unreality, which is acculturation to the world of dream, from the original text can be found in the adaptation. First of all, study between the original text and the recreation text should be conducted in terms of intertextuality. Secondly, an instruction on the inheritance which is based on intertextuality between the original text and the recreation text should be conducted. Thirdly, an instruction about the structure of a genre and differences of recognition systems according to inheritance or conversion of a genre. It will be helpful for children to stimulate to take an interest in classical literature texts and traditional arts, to learn more recreation texts, and to develop the practical ability to recreate works. Based on above study, an instruction which shows a spiritual value of literature should be conducted.

  • For predictable posterior implants, appropriate soft tissue thickness, called the biologic width, is required around the implant for crestal bone stability. In order to do so, it seems that there are many cases where the implant should be positioned deeper than the depth that we previously thought was appropriate or inevitable limit. I would like to share my clinical experience about the vertical position of the posterior implant with the case reports and the related surgical technique.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to understand and explain the essences and structures of the experience of Korean nursing students' college life who have defected from North Korea. Korea. Methods: The data were collected in 2012 through individual in-depth interviews using open-ended questions. A total of 6 nursing students who have escaped from North Korea participated in the study. Each interview lasted about 2 hours. Verbatim transcripts were analyzed using Phenomenological analysis. Results: Four theme clusters emerged by the analysis using Collaizzi's method: a dream of passing, the stern realities of life, out of the frying pan into the fire, and passion for my dream. These theme clusters illustrate that although most participants faced very strange and strenuous situations in most aspects of college life, each of them had hope to be an a good nurse in the future. The essence of the experience of participants was "living as a star in the black night". Conclusion: This study provides deep understanding of college life of nursing students who defected from North Korea. Based on the results of the study, the Korean government, society, and college should support refugees in order to help settle well in Korean society.

  • Purpose: Researchers have shown that aesthetic judgments of artworks depend on contexts, such as the authenticity of an artwork (Newman & Bloom, 2011) and an artwork's location of display (Kirk et al., 2009; Silveira et al., 2015). The present study aims to examine whether contextual information related to the creator, such as whether an artwork was created by a human or artificial intelligence (AI), influences viewers' preference judgments of an artwork. Methods: Images of Impressionist landscape paintings were selected as human-made artworks. AI-made artwork stimuli were created using Google's Deep Dream Generator by mimicking the Impressionist style via deep learning algorithms. Participants performed a preference rating task on each of the 108 artwork stimuli accompanied by one of the two creator labels. After this task, an art experience questionnaire (AEQ) was given to participants to examine whether individual differences in art experience influence their preference judgments. Results: Setting AEQ scores as a covariate in a two-way ANCOVA analysis, the stimuli with the human-made context were preferred over the stimuli with the AI-made context. Regarding the types of stimuli, the viewers preferred AI-made stimuli to human-made stimuli. There was no interaction effect between the two factors. Conclusion: These results suggest that preferences for visual artworks are influenced by the contextual information of the creator when the individual differences in art experience are controlled.
