중학생을 대상으로 학교도서관 이용실태와 도서관의 효과에 대한 인지도를 조사하고, 도서관 운영수준-사서교사 학교 사서교사는 없으나 이용 활성화 학교 비활성화 학교-에 따라 효과 인지도에 차이가 있는지 분석하였다. 이용실태로는 학교생활 속에서 학교도서관이 차지하는 비중, 이용빈도 도서관의 유익성, 이용 목적, 도서관활용수업의 효과 등을 조사하였다. 학교도서관의 효과에 대한 학생 인지도를 조사하기 위해서 7개 영역 38문항으로 조사하였다. 7개 영역 전체의 평균은 5점 만점에서 3.24이며 실태조사와 인지도 조사에서 학생들은 학교도서관이 독서활동에서 가장 크게 도움이 된다고 응답하였다. 학교도서관 운영수준별로 효과 인지도의 평균을 비교하면 사서교사 학교 3.37, 활성화 학교 3.20, 그리고 비활성화 학교 3.16이다. 학교도서관의 운영수준은 학생들이 학교도서관으로부터 얻을 수 있는 교육적 효과의 지표가 된다.

본 연구에서는 특화도서관 사서를 대상으로 특화서비스 현황, 특화서비스의 전반적인 만족도 등을 조사하고, ISA 기법을 기반으로 특화 주제 자료, 특화서비스 장소, 특화프로그램, 특화 주제 분야 시설 및 환경에 대한 중요도와 만족도를 비교하여, 특화도서관 운영의 문제점과 개선방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 특화도서관 주제 선정은 해당 도서관 지역의 특징, 역사, 자원 등을 반영하여 주제를 선정해야 하며, 뿐 만 아니라 지역 주민 및 이용자의 수요조사를 통해 선정해야 한다. 둘째, 특화도서관은 특화 주제 분야에 적합한 프로그램 유형과 이용자의 수요조사를 기반으로 체험형, 강의형, 관람형 등의 유형을 개발하여야 한다. 셋째, 특화도서관 공간은 일체형, 일체 속 분리형, 분리형으로 나누어 볼 수 있는데, 분리형으로 독립적인 특화 공간을 제공하는 것이 가장 좋지만, 각 도서관의 상황 및 특화 주제의 특징을 고려하여 공간을 구성해야 한다. 넷째, 특화도서관은 해당 주제 분야의 전문가를 최소한 1명 정도는 특화 전담인력으로 배치해야 한다. 전담 인력은 특화공간에서 해당 주제와 관련된 수서, 정리, 열람과 관련된 업무, 특화관련 프로그램 운영, 특화 관련 대출 및 참고서비스를 제공해야 하며, 특화주제분야의 전문가이면서도 도서관의 일반적인 기능을 수행하는 사서여야 한다.

This paper introduces the development of a three-dimensional jig design system for automotive body welding assembly. Recently, three-dimensional CAD systems have been introduced in the jig design area, because they reduce errors in design process and the design result can be used readily for virtual manufacturing simulation. However, to facilitate three-dimensional jig design, it is essential to customize three-dimensional CAD system for this specific design area. To accomplish this object, we first standardized the parts and units in a jig assembly, and then built the standard part library. We also developed the dedicated 3D design capabilities of jig units and a jig base. By using this system, design can be performed more intuitively, and verification and simulation of design results can be done more easily. The proposed system has been implemented using the UG/Open API of the Unigraphics system.

이 연구의 목적은 국내 대학도서관의 외국인 서비스를 개선하는 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 국내 대학 중 외국인 유학생 1,000명 이상인 도서관의 외국인 서비스 현황에 대해 분석하였고, K 대학교 도서관의 외국인 서비스 사례를 분석하였다. 국내 대학도서관의 외국인 서비스를 4개 유형으로 분류하여, 도서관의 다국어 홈페이지, 다국어 공지, 외국인 이용자 전담사서, 다국어 이용교육에 대한 현황을 살펴보았다. 또한 K대학교 도서관의 외국인 전담 사서를 통한 정보서비스, 외국인 이용자 교육, 외국인 전용공간, 외국인 대상 프로그램 실시 등의 사례를 분석하고 만족도 조사 및 외국인 유학생과 교직원의 인터뷰를 통한 운영효과를 분석하였다. 연구의 결과, 도서관의 외국인 서비스 개선 방안으로 '다국어 서비스 제공', '학습·연구지원 서비스 확대', '특성화 서비스 제공', '독서 및 문화 프로그램 지원 서비스'가 도출되었다. 이 연구는 실제적인 개선 방안으로 '전담사서 배치를 통한 다국어 서비스 제공', '외국인 맞춤형 이용자교육 실시', '외국인 특성화 서비스 개발', '도서관 비교과 프로그램 지원'을 제시하였다.

Makerspace offers an innovative way for university libraries to render services and achieve its core objectives. However, there is low level of adoption in Nigerian university libraries, hence the need to investigate the personnel's perception towards makerspace as an innovative learning platform. To achieve this, the descriptive research design was used to elicit data with the aid of a structured questionnaire, from the 96 library personnel in John Harris Library, University of Benin. Of the 96 copies of questionnaire distributed, 68 copies were returned and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the library personnel were familiar with makerspace even though they still require more information about it. Also, that makerspace gives students the opportunity to acquire ew skill and enhances collaboration among learners. Moreover, the study revealed that budget constraints, high cost and maintenance of equipments, erratic power supply and lack of staff training are some of the perceived challenges to makerspace implementation. Consequently, the study revealed that university libraries should strategize on how to increase allocation of funds, organize makerspace webinar for personnel, ensure stable electricity supply and create a dedicated space for makerspace in the library. In conclusion, makerspace will provide students with the technological exposure and creative abilities required for the future, and as such effective planning should be made for its deployment and sustainability in Nigerian university libraries.

본 연구는 문화체육관광부와 지방자치단체에서 지원 및 추진 중인 특화도서관 사업과 관련해서 공공도서관 직원들 대상 설문조사를 통해 특화도서관 운영현황과 인식 정도를 파악하고 향후 특화도서관 활성화를 위한 정책방향을 모색했다. 분석 결과, 특화주제는 향토(지역)가 가장 많았으나 정책입안자 등의 관심에 따라 주제를 선정하는 곳도 적지 않았다. 전체 장서의 5% 미만을 특화자료로 구성하고, 전체 도서관 프로그램 중 20% 이상을 특화주제 관련 프로그램으로 운영하고 평균 3~4가지 프로그램을 제공하며, 대체로 전담사서를 배치하지 않고 있지만, 정규직 직원 수가 많은 경우 전담사서를 배치한 경우가 많았다. 특화주제가 지역특성에 부합 시, 단독건물이나 특화실이 별도로 있을 시, 전담사서가 2~3명, 특화 장서가 최소 15% 이상, 프로그램이 5~6가지 이상 있을 시 이용자의 인지도와 만족도가 더욱 높게 나타났다. 특화도서관 활성화를 위해 도서관 운영 및 연간사업계획 수립 시 특화도서관 서비스 관련 계획을 포함해 장서 추가 확보, 차별화된 프로그램 구성, 전담사서 배치, 한국도서관협회 및 지역대표도서관을 통한 주제 전문 교육 실시와 특화주제별, 대상별 서비스 제공 매뉴얼 개발·보급, 충분한 예산확보 등이 필요하다.

이 연구는 부산·울산·경남지역 내 공공도서관을 중심으로 청소년서비스 현황을 조사하고 문제점을 파악한 다음 서비스 활성화를 위한 과제를 제안하고자 하였다. 2021년 기준 국가도서관통계시스템과 부산광역시 도서관포털에 등록된 부산·울산·경남지역 공공도서관 93개관을 대상으로 청소년서비스 현황과 청소년서비스에 대한 사서의 인식을 조사하였다. 조사결과, 부산·울산·경남 지역 공공도서관에 청소년 공간이 있는 곳이 24%이며, 공간이 있는 경우 공간 내부에 청소년 서가가 가장 많이 설치되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 청소년 서비스를 제공하는 도서관은 76%로 나타났으며, 서비스 대상의 연령대는 만13~18세로 설정하고 있었다. 청소년들의 저조한 이용과 소극적인 참여, 전용 공간의 부족, 프로그램 운영을 위한 인력 부족, 예산 부족 등 문제점이 복합적으로 작용하여 서비스 제공이 쉽지 않은 상황으로 나타났으나, 대부분의 사서들이 청소년 전용 공간과 청소년 서비스 제공의 필요성에 동의하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 공공도서관 청소년 서비스 활성화를 위한 과제로 공간조성과 서비스 기획/운영 단계에서 청소년의 참여 확대, 청소년 전용 공간 조성, 청소년 봉사활동 내용의 다양화, 담당사서의 전문성 확보와 지역인적자원 활용, 서비스에 대한 홍보 확대 등을 제안하였다.

본 연구는 「도서관법」 제 30조 제2항과 제3항에 따라 운영하고 있는 공공도서관 운영위원회 현황을 설문조사를 통해 파악하고 향후 운영위원회 활성화를 위한 추진방향 및 정책방향을 모색했다. 분석 결과, 운영횟수는 1년에 1~2번, 운영위원회 회의 결정사항을 상부에 보고하기는 하나 규정 등에 회의록 보고 및 공개를 의무화하지 않고 있으며, 중요성을 인식하면서도 담당 인원 부족 등으로 인해 형식적으로 운영하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 운영 활성화를 위한 주요 요소는 위원구성, 위원회의 책임과 권한, 전담직원 배치 등으로 조사되었다. 표준조례(안) 제정이 필요하다는 인식이 높게 나타났으나 자율성 저해에 대한 우려도 함께 언급되고 있어 자율성을 충분히 보장한 표준 조례(안) 제정이 필요하다. 운영위원회 활성화를 위해 정기적 회의 개최, 회의 결정사항을 반영할 수 있는 제도나 규정 보완, 분과위원회 설치, 전담직원 배치 등도 고려해 다각적인 활용과 운영방안을 모색해야 한다.

This study is to conclude a direction for Information Commons, which supports the university library in a new role. The study explains perspectives on the changing role of the university library by examining the approaches, histories, and theories practiced by various researchers on Information Commons. The study aims to discover ways of improving the library space that are dedicated to technology using Information Commons, it also examines ways of creating a unified "library space" that will support learning and access to knowledge and information. The features of Cultural Commons include making improvements to technology-centered space, and providing support to research, freedom of speech, creative approach, public freedom and collaboration, and interaction. The functions of Cultural Commons within the university library are listed: First, it supports programs that will transform the library into a social hub within the university. The space specifically blurs the boundary between the library building and its surroundings, and unifies these spaces to enhance its catalytic role in aiding social interactions and human-centered approach. Second, it supports active participation through cultural programs and provides a fluid and interactive space with virtual resources. Third, it enhances user experience to supports behaviors and activities that involve fixtures and equipment in the space to promote learning. The study notes that, with the emergence of these characteristics, the university library is changing by implementing Cultural Commons for on-campus social space and new learning. Accordingly, this implementation is expected to enhance active acceptance of the library space in the future.
