전기 노이즈가 노후 차량에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Electric Noise for Decrepit Vehicle)

  • The development of electronic technology has been rapidly achieved in the automotive industry. A trend that attaches electric equipment, including ECUs at vehicles, is observed. However, decrepit vehicles have several electrical noises and errors. The effect of electric noise on vehicles that are focused on smoke was investigated. Many researchers have argued that one of the reasons of the occurrence of smoke in vehicles is the inexact time of the occurrence of ignition. Moreover, various physical, chemical, and thermodynamic solutions were attempted to approach and many improvements were accomplished. However, in this study, the reduction of electrical and electronic noise is confirmed to improve the accuracy of the injection time on decrepit vehicles with electrical and electric technologies. Previous studies suggest that the distance between the pilot and main ignitions affect the occurrence of smoke and control the variance value of the distance between pilot and main ignitions with electric filter. Thus, the effect of reducing smoke occurred.

가솔린자동차의 유효방전에너지와 배기가스와의 상관관계 연구 (A Study on Correlation of Effective Discharge Energy and Exhaust Emission of Gasoline Vehicle)

  • The experiment was done on traveling at the speed of 20km/h, 60km/h and 100km/h using the performance testing mode for chassis dynamometer. The experimental method were employed to measure the waveform of secondary ignition coil and exhaust emission. In this experiment, the correlation between the secondary waveform coming from ignition coil and exhaust emission were measured in decrepit vehicle. The secondary waveform characterized by the value of effective discharge energy. The following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between the effective discharge energy and exhaust emission. The variation rate of effective discharge energy was largest 60km/h, 20km/h, 100km/h velocity in the ordered named. As the vehicle velocity increases, the average variation rate of CO and $NO_X$ decreases and that of HC and $CO_2$ decrease. The value of effective discharge energy, CO, $NO_X$ and fuel consumption is measured badly in case of car with failures in MAP, spark plug and good in case of car with before and after maintenance regardless of vehicle velocities. The value of effective discharge energy is to be nearly parabolic shape as vehicle velocity increases. As the value of effective discharge energy increases, the value of $NO_X$, HC and $CO_2$ decrease, the value of CO increase. The most sensible factors of exhaust emission were CO, $NO_X$, and the small variation factors were HC, $CO_2$.

  • The experiment was done on cars travelling at the speeds of 20km/h, 60km/h and 100km/h using the performance testing mode for chassis dynamometer. In this experiment, the relativity between the secondary waveform coming from ignition coil and exhaust emissions were measured in case of cars with failures, in oxygen sensor, spark plugs. The following results obtained by analysis of the relativity between the secondary waveform and exhaust emissions. 1) When the oxygen sensor is failure, the average value of CO emission measured was 6.8 times higher than the standard CO emission value and the average value of HC emission measured was 2.3 times higher than the standard emission level. 2) When engine parts are in failure, more fuel enters the cylinder due to longer opening duration of injector, and it tended to make CO and HC emission values increase. 3) Combustion duration, the shape of flame propagation during spark line, and the size of the discharge-induced energy were the three main elements that directly cause variations in CO and HC emission values.

노후 디젤차량으로부터 전소 천연가스자동차로의 개조 기술 개발 (Development of Conversion Technology of a Decrepit Diesel Vehicle to the Dedicated Natural Gas Vehicle)

  • A commercial diesel engine was converted into a dedicated natural gas engine to reduce the exhaust emissions in a retrofit of a diesel-fueled vehicle. The cylinder head and piston were remodeled into engine parts suited for a spark ignition engine using natural gas. The remodeling of the combustion chamber changed the compression ratio from 21.5 to 10.5. A multi-point port injection(MPI) system for a dedicated natural gas engine was also adopted to increase the engine power and torque through improved volumetric efficiency, to allow a rapid engine response to changes in throttle position, and to control the precise equivalence ratio during cold-start and engine warm-up. The performance and exhaust emissions of the retrofitted natural gas engine after remodeling a diesel engine are investigated. The emissions of the retrofitted natural gas engine were low enough to satisfy the limits for a transitional low emission vehicle(TLEV) in Korea. We concluded that a diesel engine can be effectively converted into a dedicated natural gas engine without any deterioration in engine performance or exhaust emissions.

  • The method of emission inspection for Heavy-duty diesel vehicles has been engine speed type Lug-down 3mode. This method could bring damage to decrepit vehicles under high speed and high load condition and it could not apply the driving pattern on the road. For these reasons, this study has started to create new emission inspection which is appropriate for Korea's road infrastructure. KD 147 would be applied to light-duty diesel vehicles from july 2010 after model operations. Therefore, this study has investigated new emission inspection system for heavy-duty diesel vehicles, except for light-duty diesel vehicles. In consideration of domestic conditions to meet the new load test method in this study, the Lug-down3 mode vehicle speed method was developed for the first time in korea.

총 편익과 공 편익에 기반한 자동차 배출저감 정책의 통합관리 전략 (Integrated Management Strategy of Vehicle Emission Reduction Policies Based on Total Benefits and Co-benefits)

  • 현재의 자동차 배출관리 전략은 단일 배출물질 중심의 정책 접근법으로 인해 정책 효과의 상호 중복이 발생하므로 이를 방지하고 효율적 예산 활용을 위해 통합적 시각에서의 교통-환경 정책을 수립할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 정책들의 개별 또는 통합 추진에 따른 총 편익과 공 편익의 비교를 통해 교통-환경 통합관리 전략의 시사점 도출을 목적으로 한다. 연구결과, 휘발유와 경유를 함께 절감할 수 있는 '승용차 요일제 & 노후 화물차 조기폐차' 정책(MIX-4)의 통합관리가 PM과 $CO_2$를 함께 저감하여 총 편익이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 배출량 영향인자인 통행량, 통행속도, 배출계수의 3요소를 동시에 제어할 수 있는 '승용차 요일제 & 환경 정책'(MIX-1~4), '혼잡 통행료 부과제 & 환경 정책'(MIX-5~8)의 통합관리가 공 편익 측면에서 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때, 교통-환경 정책의 통합관리는 건강에 유해한 대기오염물질과 기후 변화에 영향을 미치는 온실가스를 동시에 저감시킬 수 있으며, 정책 추진의 효율성을 제고하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

교통수요모형과 의사결정모형을 이용한 자동차 배출저감정책 평가 (Evaluation of Mobile Emissions Reduction Strategies Using Travel Demand Model and Analytic Hierarchy Process)

  • 본 연구는 자동차 배출저감정책에 대한 기존 정량적 요소 중심의 평가 방법과 차별된, 교통수요모형(Travel Demand Model, TDM)과 다기준 의사결정기법(Analytic Hierarchy Process, AHP)의 연계된 평가 체계를 제시하고자 한다. 자동차 배출저감정책의 다기준 평가항목은 대기오염물질 및 온실가스 감축효과, 상위계획과의 일치성, 정책추진 용이성, 기술적용 용이성으로 설정하였고, AHP분석 결과 정량적 평가항목인 대기오염물질과 온실가스의 감축효과에 대한 상대적 중요도가 각 0.373, 0.218로 정책적 평가항목들에 비해 중요도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 평가 방법론을 적용하여 각 정책들을 평가한 결과, 노후 경유차 조기폐차 정책이 가장 효과적인 정책으로 나타났고, 승용차 요일제 정책, 경차보급 활성화 정책 순으로 나타났으며, 이는 기존의 TDM 또는 AHP에 의해 평가된 우선순위와 다소 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 저감정책 시나리오를 구성한 기본적인 가정과 범위에 국한된 결과라는 한계점이 있지만, 자동차 배출저감 효과와 더불어 정책적 요소들을 반영하여 보다 합리적인 자동차 배출저감정책 방향을 설정하고 효과적인 대응을 하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

대형 버스의 엔진룸에서 흡음재이탈 및 전기적인 단락에 관련된 화재 사례 고찰 (A Study for Fire Examples Involved with Absorbing Material Breakaway and Electric Short in Engine Room of a Large Bus)

  • 이 논문은 대형버스의 화재에 관련된 고장사례를 고찰한 논문이다. 첫번째 사례는, 엔진룸 상단에 부착된 흡음재가 노후되어 떨어지면서 엔진쪽에 화재를 발생시킨 것으로 확인되었다. 두번째 사례는, 컴프레서의 부하로 인해 전기적인 단락에 의해 화재가 발생한 것으로 확인되었다. 세번째 사례는, 머플러 상단에 부착된 흡음재가 떨어져 배기매니폴드와 연결되어 있는 머플러 상단에서 점화되어 화재가 발생된 것으로 확인되었다. 네번째 사례는, 운전석 우측 크래쉬 보디부의 졍션 박스내에서 전기전인 쇼트가 발생하여 화재가 발생된 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서, 대형버스의 화재는 흡음재의 노후, 전기적인 단락에 의해 화재가 발생하였을 경우 피해가 크고 대단히 위험하므로 철저하게 관리하여 화재 발생이 없도록 하여야 한다.
