도로교 콘크리트 바닥판의 합리적인 수명 평가 및 예측시스템 개발 (Development of Probabilistic Prediction System for Remaining Life of Reinforced Concrete Bridge Decks)

  • The deterioration of RC deck slabs has been a serious problem and high portion of budget has been a spent for repair and strengthening of deck slab. The concrete deck slabs are subject to direct application of vehicle loading and accumulation of fatigue damage. Besides, various environmental causes. In this paper, an probabilistic study is carried out to predict exact load effects and structural capacity of deck slab during its service life, and estimate an appropriate remaining life of deck slab. To achieve this purpose the live load model is developed using by influence line including deterioration of deck slab, and deterioration model of bridge deck slab is developed. In addition, the fatigue life of reinforced concrete deck slabs considering corrosion of reinforcement are estimated based on experimental formula. This study will help rational decisions for the management and repair of reinforced concrete deck slabs.

  • FRP-콘크리트 합성 바닥판을 개선하여 사장교에 경제적으로 적용 가능한 바닥판을 개발하고, 이의 설계 및 경제성 등을 제시한다. 기존의 FRP-콘크리트 합성 바닥판은 탄성계수가 낮은 GFRP 패널의 채용으로 인하여 낮은 단면 강성을 갖게 되는데, 이는 바닥판의 처짐 등과 같은 사용성 문제를 야기할 수 있다. 그래서 기존 FRP-콘크리트 합성 바닥판의 양단을 콘크리트로 감싸서 순지간이 줄어드는 효과를 얻을 수 있는 프리캐스트 FRP-콘크리트 바닥판을 고안하였다. 이 바닥판은 기존 바닥판에 비해 바닥판 지간은 늘어나면서 자중은 크게 늘지 않는 장점을 가진다. 이러한 개선된 바닥판에 대해 거더와 합성하는 경우, 거더 위에서 단순지지하는 경우로 나누어 단면 최적화를 수행하였다. 최적화된 바닥판을 중앙지간 540m인 사장교에 적용한 결과, 상부구조 및 케이블 물량의 감소 효과를 얻을 수 있어 경제적으로 적용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

덱크플레이트를 사용한 경량콘크리트 슬래브와 철골보의 합성보에서 쉬어코넥터의 내력에 관한 연구 (A Study on Strength of shear Connectors in Composite Beams of Steel and Lightweight Concrete Slabs with Deck Plate)

  • The strength of shear connectors embedded in lightweight concrete slab with deck plate is influenced by various factors of deck plate, shear conncetor and concrete. Generally, it is reported that the strength of shear connector in lightweight concrete decreases in comparison with that in normal concrete. So this paper is to use compressive strength of lilghtweight concrete, width-height ratio of deck plate, and cross sectional area of shear conncetor as variables, to evaluate the strength of shear conncetors in composite beam of steel and lilghtweight concrete slabs with deck plate, and then to suggest the reasonable strength equation by comparing the push-out test results with establixhed strength formula. As the result of 24 specimens test, in case of lightweight concrete slab with deck plate, it has showed that in the same strength, the strength of shear connector decreased about 10~20% in comparison with that in normal concrete. In spite of lightweight concrete, the test results were closely approached the established strength formula of shear connector using Fisher's reduction coefficient.

LB-DECK를 이용한 철근콘크리트바닥판의 펀칭전단강도 (Punching Shear Strength of Reinforced Concrete Bridge Decks with LB-DECK)

  • LB-DECK is used for both of permanent formwork and structural component with cast-in place concrete of concrete bridge decks. Current Korean design code recommends that concrete bridge deck with precast concrete panels have to be designed only using conventional flexural design method and does not allow the empirical design method which is based on punching shear strength of bridge deck. This paper present experimental test results of punching shear strength of concrete bridge decks with LB-DECKs. Six full-scaled concrete bridge decks, which are designed with the empirical design method, are fabricated with variation of girder spacings. Test results are presented in the paper and compared with the code predictions of ACI 318, CEB-FIP MC90. Based on the test results, it is proposed that LB-DECK is suitable to apply the empirical design method for concrete bridge decks.

단면 상세가 변화된 LB-DECK의 균열하중에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Cracking Loads of LB-DECKs with Varied Cross-Section Details)

  • 프리캐스트 콘크리트 페널의 일종인 LB-DECK은 콘크리트 교량 바닥판의 시공시 LB-DECK 위에 현장타설되는 콘크리트와 합성 거동하는 영구 콘크리트 거푸집이다. 현행 LB-DECK은 두께가 60 mm인 콘크리트 슬래브와 슬래브 내부에 높이 125 mm인 lattice-girder들의 일부가 매립되어 있는 구조이다. 이러한 LB-DECK은 시공하중에 의해 종방향 균열이 발생하지 않도록 거더 간격이 충분히 작은 교량 바닥판 시공시 주로 적용되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 최근 강박스 교량과 같이 교량 바닥판의 지간장이 긴 교량에 LB-DECK를 적용할 경우 콘크리트 하부에 발생될 수 있는 종방향 균열을 최소화시키기 위하여, LB-DECK의 균열강도를 평가하기 위한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. LB-DECK 콘크리트 슬래브의 두께, lattice-girder의 높이, 그리고 top-bar의 지름을 변수로 하는 8종류 24개의 비합성 보부재와 4가지 종류의 합성 보부재 4개를 제작한 후 정적하중 재하실험을 수행하였다. 실험체에 대한 정적하중 재하 실험을 통해 각 실험체의 균열하중과 극한하중을 평가하였으며, 또한 최종 파괴시까지 중앙부 처짐, top-bar의 변형률, 콘크리트 슬래브의 균열 진전 양상 그리고 최종 파괴 형태를 살펴보았다. 각 실험체로부터 얻은 균열하중의 크기는 탄성해석을 통해 얻은 해석치와 비교하였다. 또한 콘크리트 건조수축이 균열강도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 AEMM 방법을 이용한 장기 거동 해석을 수행하였다. 실험 결과를 토대로, 지간장이 긴 교량 바닥판에 LB-DECK 적용시, 균열 발생을 예방할 수 있도록 LB-DECK 콘크리트 슬래브의 균열강도와 설계상세를 검토하였다.

GFRP 근 보강 콘크리트 교량 바닥판의 설계지배인자 (Governing Design Factors of GFRP-Reinforced Concrete Bridge Deck)

  • In this study, the governing design factors of GFRP-reinforced concrete bridge deck are analyzed for typical bridges in Korea. The adopted bridge deck is a cast-in-situ concrete bridge deck for the prestressed concrete girder bridge with dimensions of 240 mm thickness and 2.75 m span length from center-to-center of supporting girders. The selected design variables are the diameters of GFRP rebar, spacings of GFRP rebars and concrete cover thicknesses, Considering the absence of the specification relating GFRP rebar in Korea, AASHTO specification is used to design the GFRP-reinforced concrete bridge deck. The GFRP-reinforced concrete bridge deck is proved to be governed by the criteria about serviceability, especially maximum crack width, while steel reinforced concrete bridge deck is governed by the criteria on ultimate limit state. In addition, GFRP rebars with diameter of 16 mm ~ 19 mm should be used for the main transverse direction of decks to assure appropriate rebar spacings.

Experimental and numerical study on shear studs connecting steel girder and precast concrete deck

  • Shear studs are often used to connect steel girders and concrete deck to form a composite bridge system. The application of precast concrete deck to steel-concrete composite bridges can improve the strength of decks and reduce the shrinkage and creep effect on the long-term behavior of structures. How to ensure the connection between steel girders and concrete deck directly influences the composite behavior between steel girder and precast concrete deck as well as the behavior of the structure system. Compared with traditional multi-I girder systems, a twin-I girder composite bridge system is more simplified but may lead to additional requirements on the shear studs connecting steel girders and decks due to the larger girder spacing. Up to date, only very limited quantity of researches has been conducted regarding the behavior of shear studs on twin-I girder bridge systems. One convenient way for steel composite bridge system is to cast concrete deck in place with shear studs uniformly-distributed along the span direction. For steel composite bridge system using precast concrete deck, voids are included in the precast concrete deck segments, and they are casted with cast-in-place concrete after the concrete segments are erected. In this paper, several sets of push-out tests are conducted, which are used to investigate the heavier of shear studs within the voids in the precast concrete deck. The test data are analyzed and compared with those from finite element models. A simplified shear stud model is proposed using a beam element instead of solid elements. It is used in the finite element model analyses of the twin-I girder composite bridge system to relieve the computational efforts of the shear studs. Additionally, a parametric study is developed to find the effects of void size, void spacing, and shear stud diameter and spacing. Finally, the recommendations are given for the design of precast deck using void for twin I-girder bridge systems.

신개념 FRP-콘크리트 합성 바닥판의 거동 특성 고찰 (A Study on the Behavior Characteristics of a New-Type FRP-Concrete Composite Deck)

  • A new-type of FRP-concrete composite bridge deck system is proposed and its behaviors are experimentally studied. The new-typedeck consists of FRP as a permanent form and main tension resisting member and concrete as a compression resisting member. A suitable bonding method such as silica coating is applied to the interface between FRP and concrete to ensure composite behavior. The proposed deck system uses the box-shape FRP member, while a typical FRP-concrete composite deck uses the I-shape FRP member. Theproposed deck system has inherent advantages of a FRP-concrete composite deck like corrosion free and easy construction. The new-type deck shows the equal performances compared to a previous one, and has the advantage of reducing self-weight. In this study, the static tests on 3-span FRP-concrete decks in full scale are carried out, so that load-displacement relation, stress distribution, failure mode and design criteria are analyzed. The test results show that the deflection design criterion (L/800, L: span length) is satisfied at the service load state. No concrete tensile crack occurs in the negative moment region above the main girder, regardless of no tensile reinforcement at upper concrete portion.

  • 실리카퓸, 플라이애쉬, 고로슬래등 미분말 혼화재가 포함된 고성능 콘크리트(High Performance Concrete) 교량 바닥판 보호공법은 1980년 초부터 북미를 중심으로 사용되어 왔다. 본 보고서에서는 교량 바닥판 보호를 위한 고성능 콘크리트 적용사례와 고성능 콘크리트를 이용한 두 가지 공법(고성능 콘크리트 교면포장공법, 노출 바닥판 공법)에 대해 소개한다. 위 두 공법은 이미 북미에서 많은 실적을 보유하고 있으며 특히, 실리카퓸과 PVA섬유가 포함된 고성능 콘크리트 교면포장공법은 국내에서도 성공적으로 적용되고 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 기존 아스팔트 재료를 대체할 수 있고, 최근 국내에서도 그 적용성에 대한 관심과 실 시공이 이루어지고 있는 고성능 콘크리트를 이용한 교면포장 (Overlay) 공법 및 노출 바닥판(Full depth) 공법에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

  • In the conventional reinforced-concrete bridge deck, concrete and steels are likely to be deteriorated and corroded under the influence of noxious environment. To cope with these problems caused in the conventional reinforced-concrete bridge deck, pultruded composite bridge deck, called Delta Deck, is developed. In this paper, local deflection and fatigue characteristics of Delta Deck for DB24 truck load are evaluated through analysis and experiments.
