  • The purpose of this study is to review the concept and thinking structure of deconstruction theoretically and thereupon, analyze the visual beauty and wearable comfort of the clothing and further, discuss the aesthetic characteristics and values of the decentering phenomenon in the 21st century fashion. Deconstruction provides for an cognitive framework whereby we could comprehensively review the difficult-to-understand and imprudent creativity unravelling in the name of the post-modernism as well as the ambiguous visual beauty and wearable comfort of our contemporary fashion. In particular, deconstruction refuses such concepts involving the relationship between the conventional clothing and its components as order, symmetry, balance, harmony, perfection and simplicity and instead, attaches some sense of value to such relatively inferior concepts as disorder, asymmetry, unbalance, disharmony, imperfection and complexity, and thus, reflects them in the modes of aesthetic representations to create new aesthetics and expand the expressive potential.

  • This paper describes the camera caliberation based-neural network with a camera modeling that accounts for major sources of camera distortion, namely, radial, decentering, and thin prism distortion. Radial distoriton causes an inward or outward displacement of a given image point from its ideal location. Actual optical systems are subject to various degrees of decentering, that is the optical centers of lens elements are not strictly collinear. Thin prism distortion arises from imperfection in lens design and manufacturing as well as camera assembly. It is our purpose to develop the vision system for the pattern recognition and the automatic test of parts and to apply the line of manufacturing. The performance of proposed camera aclibration is illustrated by simulation and experiment.

  • This study examined the feasibility of using an automatic lens distortion correction (ALDC) camera as the payload for a photogrammetric unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system. First, lens distortion for the interior orientation (IO) parameters was estimated. Although previous studies have largely ignored decentering distortion, this study revealed that more than 50% of the distortion of the ALDC camera was caused by decentering distortion. Second, we compared the accuracy of bundle adjustment for camera calibration using three image types: raw imagery without the ALDC option; imagery corrected using lens profiles; and imagery with the ALDC option. The results of image triangulation, the digital terrain model (DTM), and the orthoimage using the IO parameters for the ALDC camera were similar to or slightly better than the results using self-calibration. These results confirm that the ALDC camera can be used in a photogrammetric UAV system using only self-calibration.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy(MBCT) on chronic depressed patients. MBCT has shown great effects for curing depression and proving it can also prevent the relapse of depression. In recent years in Korea, there has been ongoing MBCT research, but has not been applied as a group program to chronic depressed patients. After reviewing the research and organizing data of MBCT treatment therapy mechanism, results found that the chronic depressed patients showed positive effects from the MBCT program. This study involved 8 patients aged 40-55, measuring the level of mindfulness(FFMQ), decentering, rumination, and depression symptoms before and after treatment from the MBCT program. The results indicate that there was a significant increase in FFMQ(mean change score=1.37, p<0.05) and decentering(mean change score=1.00, p<0.05), while there was a significant decrease in rumination(mean change score=-0.67, p<0.05) and BDI(mean change score=-9.5, p<0.05). These results have been continued during the 6 months. The MBCT program has prevented the relapse of depression, acting as a maintenance therapy.
