In this paper, it is suggested that the selection method of parameter of Power System Stabilizer(PSS) with robustness in low frequency oscillation for Static VAR Compensator(SVC) using a self tuning fuzzy controller for a synchronous generator excitation and SVC system. The proposed parameter self tuning algorithm of fuzzy controller is based on the steepest decent method using two direction vectors which make error between inference values of fuzzy controller and output values of the specially selected PSS reduce steepestly. Using input-output data pair obtained from PSS, the parameters in antecedent part and in consequent part of fuzzy inference rules are learned and tuned automatically using the proposed steepest decent method.

Among the prerequisites for stable neural interfacing are the long-term stability of electrical performance of and the excellent biocompatibility of conducting materials in implantable neural electrodes. Reduced graphene oxide offers a great potential for a variety of biomedical applications including biosensors and, particularly, neural interfaces due to its superb material properties such as high electrical conductivity, decent optical transparency, facile processibility, and etc. Nonetheless, there have been few systematic studies on the graphene-based neural interfaces in terms of biocompatibility of electrode materials and long term stability in electrical characteristics. In this research, we prepared the primary culture of rat hippocampal neurons directly on reduced graphene oxide films which is chosen as a model electrode material for the neural electrode. We observed that the viability of primary neuronal culture on the present structure is minimally affected by nanoscale graphene flakes below. These results implicate that the multilayer films of reduced graphene oxides can be utilized for the next-generation neural interfaces with decent biocompatibility and outstanding electrical performance.

The ultimate goal of women's studies and feminist critics is to improve the understanding on women and recognize women's values. When we examine the Korean women's history on the viewpoint of gender, we can find that the gender role is not fixed. We do not have any proofs that there are any kinds of gaps between women and men in ability and temperament. All of women's identity and subjectivity in status and activities was not insignificant. Especially women's subjectivity in high social standing was superior. The women's activities in economic area were energetically. The productive activities were lively, too. The patrilineal decent is usual in Chana though China is in the same Confucianism cultural area. But patrilineal and matrilineal decent were popular used until the early days in Chosun Dynasty. Only sons can be inherited father's estate in China but it's not in our country. Also the patriarch had the economic power in family in China but the housewives had the power in ours. The feminism has been making efforts for the equality of sexes and the dismantling of the patriarchal sex role for a long time. Every feminist activities included feminist theory and cultural criticism has the goal to increase women's liberty and equality and change the world. This study to understand the historical substance of Korean women is on the way, too.

Social enterprises can be identified roughly as social purpose-oriented business ventures. They often fill the gaps left by governmental and commercial ventures in providing for certain vulnerable sectors of society. Though social enterprises often adopt market mechanisms in their organizational structures, their emphasis on particular social outcomes means that they intentionally pursue double/triple-bottom lines, thus distinguishing them from many traditional for-profit businesses. Among the Korean laborers, women have been hardest hit by the global economic crisis. As the movements have substantially been taken to strengthen women's economic activities in the recent years, many policies are formulated with these trends, connecting women's employment with social enterprises. This study focused on analyzing social enterprises to be friendly and to provide decent work to women. Data were collected from 491 social enterprises and 830 workers. The main results are as follows. First, the women's employment in social enterprises has accounted for a relatively high rate and the women's wage also is similar to men's one. Second, as for work conditions and types, most women have preferred irregular and non-managerial work. Thus, social enterprises have showed a positive response for the women's job opportunities, while social enterprises have had a negative one for enhancing the women's status at the labor market. In conclusion, social enterprises should institutionalize how to provide more stable working condition to women and to improve their's capacity.

This study explored what latent classes appear according to the combination of Belief in a Just World (BJW) and social class of middle-aged adults, and examined whether there are differences in career transiton, perceiving a calling, and working as meaning in each class and what characteristics they have. 224 middle-aged people who experienced turnover through online and offline were surveyed and analyzed by Latent Profile Analysis. The participants were divided into 5 latent classes such as; 'Relative self-satisfaction', 'Social contentment', 'Relative deprived', 'Fairness trust' and 'Fairness distrust'. According to the results of MANOVA analysis to figure out if there are differences in career transitions, perceiving a calling, and working as meaning depending on latent classes, significant differences were appeared among latent classes. Finally, multinominal logistic regression analysis was conducted to examine whether demographic characteristics and 'decent work' affect the latent group classification. As a result, the more 'decent work', the higher the probability of belonging to the class with high BJW and social class. On the basis of the results of this study, the implications on the case conceptualization and counseling strategy for adults focusing on BJW and Social class in adults and future research were discussed.

Fuzzy controller is one of the succeed controller used in the process control in case of model uncertainties. But it my be difficult to fuzzy controller to articulate the accumulated knowledge to encompass all circumstance. Hence, it is essential to provide a tuning capability. There are many parameters in fuzzy controller can be adapted, scale factor tuning of normalized fuzzy controller is one of the adaptation parameter. Two adaptation methods are implemented in this work on an experimental thermal process, which simulate heating process in liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) recovery process in one of petrochemical industries: Gradient decent (GD) adaptation method; supervisory fuzzy controller. A comparison between the two methods is discussed.

Shuster's algorithm for spin-axis determination is extended to include sensor bias and mounting angle as its solve-for parameters. The relation between direct and derived measurements bias is obtained by linearizing their kinematic equations. A one-step least-square estimation technique referred to as the 'closed form' solution is used, and the solution provides a more refined and decent initial guess for the subsequent filtering process contained within the differential correction module. The modified algorithm is applied for attitude determination of a GEO communication satellite in transfer orbit, and its results are presented.

This study is concerned with the personal appearance of the Korean people implied in the Korean proverb. The results of this research was as follows: It appeared that the Korean people preferred the balanced features to the unusual ones in terms of personal appearance. It also revealed that cleanliness and neatness in clothing and in personal appearance were valued by the Korean people. Proper posture was emphasized by the Koreans. Generally, fair skin and small hands were favored by both sexes. Also the Korean people favored handsome, gentle, and decent features as well as dignified and noble character.

This paper presents a new variational framework for detecting and tracking moving objects in image sequence. Motion detection is performed using Level Set Model. The original frame is used to provide th moving object boundaries Then, the detection and the tracking problem are addressed in a common framework that employs a inward-outward curve evolution function. This function is minimized using a gradient decent method.

Using 1998~2003 data of the Korea Labor and Income Panel Survey, we analyze the scale, characteristics, and dynamic transition of working poors. The result shows that more than half of the poor families are working poors and that a considerable portion of economically active households is in poverty. However, compare to other kinds of poor families, working poors can easily escape from poverty once after they entered into poverty. When household head is elderly and less educated, the risk of working poor is relatively high. Also, self-employed households have high risk of working poor compare to households having wage worker(s). To ease the problem of working poor, creation of decent jobs and human resource development for vulnerable groups are important. Especially, the creation of decent jobs will do critical roles not only in solving employment issues but also in moderating income inequality among families. Policy development for self-employed in the brink of poverty and establishment of a solid social security system for working poors are also recommended.
