A motion analysis of an underwater towed cable is a complex task due to its nonlinear nature of the problem. The major source of the nonlinearity of the underwater cable analysis is that the motion of the cable involves large rigid-body motion. This large rigid-body motion makes difficult to use standard displacement-based finite element method. In this paper, the authors apply recently developed nodal position-based finite element method which can deal with the geometric nonlinearity due to the large rigid-body motion. In order to enhance the stability of the large-scale nonlinear cable motion simulation, an efficient time-integration scheme is proposed, namely predictor/multi-corrector Newmark scheme. Three different predictors are introduced, and the best predictor in terms of stability and robustness for impulsive cable motion analysis is proposed. As a result, the nonlinear motion of underwater cable is predicted in a very efficient manner compared to the classical finite element of finite difference methods. The efficacy of the method is demonstrated with several test cases, involving static and dynamic motion of a single cable element, and also under water towed cable composed of multiple cable elements.

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is currently under intensive investigation due to its health benefits. A great deal of interest has been paid to the possible health-promoting roles of CLA, but there are not many studies available on the mechanism of CLA production by ruminal microorganisms. CLA is produced as an intermediate of the characteristic biohydrogenation process of linoleic acid(LA) in the rumen and its production has direct relationship to numerous environmental factors including particle association, substrate concentration, forage-to-grain ratio, pH, ionopore, bacterial cell density, etc. Some of these factors were known to affect hydrogenating activities of Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens A38 which is an active rumen bacterium in CLA production. Dairy cow is a main source of CLA, and its level could be increased by dietary manipulation changing the physiological environment of rumen bacteria such as B. fibrisolvens A38. Therefore, the effects of various factors on. ruminal biohydrogenation should be carefully considered to optimize not only CLA production, but also other fatty acid metabolism, both of which are directly affecting nutritional quality and functionality of dairy products. In this review, the relationship between various environmental factors and ruminal CLA production is discussed focusing on the CLA production of B. fibrisolvens A38.

Power plant is that very high reliability when industrial and economic impact on the overall electric power system is required, it is essential to improve the reliability, especially the fault prediction diagnosis. Since an accident caused by the partial discharge in the power plant is above state has a faster response characteristic than the other indications in the case of any, the partial discharge generated in the power plant immediately detect the deterioration of insulation due to the accident of the power plant and the non-drawn It should prevent or reduce. Partial Discharge Measuring Systems for UHV SF6 Gas Insulated Switchgear and power transformer on site installed has some probability of abnormal recognition in case of non-flexible deal with on site noise. Many methode to eliminate these kinds of noises, UHF Detection System is chosen as purchase description in Korea, but this system having a bandwidth between 500MHz 1.5GHz wide band. Initial install periods(about 20 years ago), this band had no strong signal source, but in these days this wide band have strong signals, such as LTE. So, module described in this paper is designed as simultaneously use with wide and narrow band for solve this noise problem, and introduce this system.

The existing SSD storage tester processed logs in a 1-N structure between server and client using TCP and network file system. This method causes some problems for example, an increase in CPU usage and difficulty in exception handling, etc. In this paper, we implement a log processing message layer that can deal with asynchronous distributed processing using open source messaging system such as kafka, RabbitMQ and compare this layer with existing log transmission method. A log simulator was implemented to compare the transmission bandwidth and CPU usage. Test results show that the transmission using the message layer has higher performance than the transmission using the message layer, and the CPU usage does not show any significant difference The message layer can be implemented more easily than the conventional method and the efficiency is higher than that of the conventional method.
The provenance of the Central Yellow Sea Mud (CYSM) in the Yellow Sea has been attracted a great deal of attention over the last three decades, but a consensus is not yet reached. In this study, 101 surface sediment samples collected from the CYSM were investigated to determine provenance and transport mechanisms in the area using the clay minerals and major element components. The Huanghe sediments are characterized by higher smectite, but the Changjiang sediments are more abundant illite contents. Western Korean rivers contain more kaolinite and chlorite than do Chinese rivers. The Chinese rivers have higher $Fe_2O_3$, MgO, and CaO than the Korean rivers at the same $Al_2O_3$ concentration. Therefore, the clay minerals and major element concentrations can be useful indicator for the source. Based on our results, we suggest that the surface sediments in CYSM were composed mainly of Changjiang sediments, mixed a partly with sediments from the Huanghe and the western Korean rivers. Although the northwestern part of CYSM is proximate to the Huanghe, the contents of smectite and CaO were extremely low. It could be evidence that the Huanghe materials do not enter directly into the CYSM due to the Shandong Peninsula Front. Considering the oceanic circulation in the Yellow Sea, the Changjiang sediments could be transported eastward with the Changjiang Diluted Water and then mixed in CYSM via the Yellow Sea Warm Current (YSWC). Huanghe sediments could be provided by coastal currents (Shandong Coastal Current and Yellow Sea Coastal Current) and the YSWC. In addition, sediments from western Korean rivers might be supplied into the CYSM deposit via the Korean Coastal Current, Transversal Current, and YSWC.
I have developed a processor for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) raw data compression using range-doppler algorithm for educational purpose. The program realized a generic SAR focusing algorithm so that it can deal with any SAR system if the specification is known. It can run efficiently on a low-cost computer by selecting minimum size out of a whole dataset, and can produce intermediate images during the process. Especially, the program is designed for educational purpose in such a way that Doppler centroid and azimuth ambiguity can be determined graphically by the user. By distributing the source code and the algorithm to public, I intend to maximize the educational effect on understanding and utilizing SAR data. This paper introduces the principle of SAR focusing algorithm embedded on the eSAR processor and shows an example of data processing using ERS-1 raw data.
The purpose of this research is to collect atmospheric environmental information at specific altitudes in a range of 0 to 1 km above the surface and to monitor it using drones. The corresponding temperature and humidity were measured with the meteorological factors, and the amounts of fine dust and $CO_2$ were observed by the environmental factors so that they could receive the normal values. Monitoring the status of atmospheric gas emission in specific enterprises, industrial complexes and regions through the measurement is meant to help establish policies to reduce pollution factors. In conventional means previously practiced, exhaust gas detection accompanies a great deal of risks in terms of safety because the surveyor is directly exposed to the source of contamination such as the holes installed in the chimney. However, in our proposed method, the drone can collect information in a wide range under safe circumstances, which can be utilized through wide industrial areas.

Existing dozer productivity computation models use different input variables, formulas, productivity correction factors, and experimental data source. This paper presents a method that characterizes the productivity outputs obtained by the PLS model and the Caterpillar model that are accepted as industry standards. The method identifies the input variables to be collected from the site, the performance charts to be referenced, and the formulas and implements them in a single computational tool. This study verifies that the PLS model may replace the manual computational process of Caterpillar model by eliminating reliance on graphics manipulation. Replacing the Caterpillar model with the PLS model and implementing the process as a function contributes to assess the productivity of a dozer timely by encouraging to utilize real-time information collected directly from the site. This study allows researchers and practitioners to effectively deal with the values of productivity correction factors collected from the job site and to control the productivity. The practicality and effectiveness of the method have been validated by applying to a project case.
Nat Turner's rebellion in 1831 was considered pre Civil War South's most dreadful nightmare due to the merciless murder of white slave owner victims. The motive of vengeance has been emphasized as that of Turner's notorious black preacher religious fanaticism. However, the recent film, The Birth of a Nation (2016) directed by Nate Parker, utilized the identical title of a film (1915) directed by D. W. Griffith. Providing limited evidence, information about the rebellion in Thomas Gray's pamphlet The Confessions of Nat Turner (1831), was the only accessible historical source for the factual event of the slaves' rebellion. In addition, William Styron's The Confessions of Turner (1967), a fictionalized biography, also examined Turner's life in the harshness of slavery. Although these two texts deal with the personal level of Nat Turner's rage and religious enthusiasm, both provide only fractured parts of the motive of vengeance. Strikingly, Parker's film interrogates the ideology of "victims," as well as the hierarchical term of "confessions," with their different positions between whites and blacks. More specifically, Parker's film offers discursive fields of proslavery arguments regarding biblical interpretations in addition to external visualization of slaves' inner emotional lives. The film demonstrates how the institution of slavery allowed slaves to be exploited, beaten, raped, through interrogating the problematic image of the "contested hero" Nat Turner. In contrast to the traditional image of blacks' bloody rebellion, the film underlines the absurdity of certain Biblical misinterpretations. It furthermore implies how the 1915 film manipulated proslavery propaganda in America.

Recently around the world, coastal erosion is paying attention as a social issue. Various constructions using low-crested and submerged structures are being performed to deal with the problems. In addition, a prediction study was researched using machine learning techniques to determine the wave attenuation characteristics of low crested structure to develop prediction matrix for wave attenuation coefficient prediction matrix consisting of weights and biases for ease access of engineers. In this study, a deep neural network model was constructed to predict the wave height transmission rate of low crested structures using Tensor flow, an open source platform. The neural network model shows a reliable prediction performance and is expected to be applied to a wide range of practical application in the field of coastal engineering. As a result of predicting the wave height transmission coefficient of the low crested structure depends on various input variable combinations, the combination of 5 condition showed relatively high accuracy with a small number of input variables defined as 0.961. In terms of the time cost of the model, it is considered that the method using the combination 5 conditions can be a good alternative. As a result of predicting the wave transmission rate of the trained deep neural network model, MSE was 1.3×10-3, I was 0.995, SI was 0.078, and I was 0.979, which have very good prediction accuracy. It is judged that the proposed model can be used as a design tool by engineers and scientists to predict the wave transmission coefficient behind the low crested structure.
