데이터베이스관리자 (Data Base Administrator)는 데이터베이스시스템을 설계하고 유지보수 하는데 있어서 중요한 역할을 수행한다. DBA는 정보기술 분야에서 그 수요가 매우 높은 직업이고 정보시스템을 개발하고 유지보수 하는데 있어서 중요하다. 하지만, DBA에 대한 연구는 많이 없었다. Fortune 500대기업의 웹사이트에 올라온 구인광고를 수집하고 분석함으로써 본 연구는 오늘날의 DBA에게 요구되는 스킬들을 조사하였다.

본 논문에서는 안드로이드 앱을 사용한 원격 데이터베이스 모니터링의 시스템을 제안한다. 기존 원격 데이터베이스 모니터링 방식은 CS(Client/Server) 기반이다. 기존 CS기반의 시스템은 공간적인 제약과 다수의 관리자의 접근시 데이터베이스 성능을 저하시킬 수 있다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템의 장점은 첫째, 웹 애플리케이션 기반 인터페이스를 사용하기 때문에 프로그램 유지보수의 용이하며 또한, 웹 브라우저를 통한 인터넷 접속이 가능한 환경이라면 언제 어디서든 시간과 공간의 제약 없이 모니터링이 가능하다. 둘째, 제안한 시스템은 앱 기반의 기술이므로 연결세션과 질의수행 증가로 인해 데이터베이스 성능에 영향을 미치지 않는다. 셋째, 원격 데이터베이스에 문제가 발생할 경우 이를 소셜 네트워크를 통해 관리자의 스마트 폰으로 즉시 통보하므로 관리자가 해당 문제를 실시간으로 확인할 수 있다.

이 시스템은 위치정보를 얻기 위한 무선통신기의 특성상 중계기의 설치간격에 따라 정보의 범위가 제한되는 것을 보완하기 위한 체계를 구축한다. 주차장 관리 시스템은 주차 정보의 데이터베이스를 구축하고 데이터베이스 정보는 클라이언트와 관리자에게 용이하게 제공할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 주차장에 설치된 무선 통신 장치에는 센서가 부착되어 차량을 감지할 수 있고, 이 데이터는 서버에게 주차위치 기본 정보를 전송한다 무선 핸드폰 에뮬레이터 J2MEWTK를 클라이언트로 하여 서버의 연동을 확인했고, 주차정보의 전송을 통한 서버 주차관리 데이터베이스의 정보 가공을 확인하였으며, 서버와 관리자를 위한 관리자 프로그램은 사용자 편의와 관리에 용이한 메뉴화면을 제공하였다.

Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a web-based business management system to ensure the efficient operation and transparent management of government-subsidized agricultural machinery rental businesses. Methods: An MS_SQL2000 database management system (DBMS) solution was utilized in the system for high system compatibility and integrated management. This system was targeted to be compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 or later and to ensure security and seamless web operations. The system administrator is able to manage a fleet of agricultural machinery, including various inventory codes, release and return, fleet registry, and business performance. Users (farmers) may search the database of rental machinery and reserve them. Results: With respect to rental reservations, the system administrator can manage the fleet by setting the rental status to Approved, Released, or Returned. Through the web, the administrator can also create a database that includes machinery specifications, features, and rental rates. In addition, business performance data can be analyzed using a diverse array of tools to streamline the rental business. Without having to go to the rental office, users can save time and money by searching for and renting agricultural machinery through the information available on the website, including availability, specifications, and rental fees. After deploying the system, the time required to analyze monthly performance and create reports was dramatically reduced from 20 days per person to one day per person. Conclusions: Since 2014, AMRB has been installed and is operating in agricultural machinery rental businesses in 31 cities and counties in South Korea. This study recommends continued expansion and dissemination of AMRB for the systematic and efficient management of agricultural machinery rental businesses.

전자상거래의 발달로 인해 옥션과 같은 쇼핑몰은 효율적인 서비스를 위해 고객의 개인정보를 수집하고 관리하고 있다. 하지만 옥션의 개인정보 유출로 인해 그 피해가 기업이미지 손상뿐만 아니라 유출된 정보주체인 개인까지 피해를 주고 있다. 기관과 기업에서 개인정보를DB에 평문상태로 저장하고, 역할기반 접근제어기술을 이용하여 개인정보를 보호하고 있지만 DB관리자의 권한만 획득하면 옥션과 같이 개인정보가 쉽게 유출된다. 또한 역할기반 접근 제어기술은 정보주체의 민감한 정보에 대한 보호기술로 적합하지 않다. 이 논문에서는 정보 주체가지정한 민감한 정보를 암호화하여 DB에 저장하고, 정보주체의 개인별 정책에 따라 자신의 정보에 대한 접근을 엄격하게 제한하는 개인별 정책 기반의 접근제어 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법을 통해 DB관리자로부터 안전하고, 개인정보 보호기술인 역할 기반 접근제어의 문제점을 보완하여 정보주체의 자기정보 제어권을 가진다.

Database administrators are demanded to acquire much knowledges and take great efforts for keeping consistent performance in system. Various principles, methods, and tools have been proposed in many studies and commercial products in order to alleviate such burdens on database administrators, and it has resulted to the automation of DBMS which reduces the intervention of database administrator. This paper suggests a resource selection method that estimates the status of the database system based on the workload characteristics and that recommends tuneable resources. Our method tries to simplify selection information on DBMS status using data-mining techniques, enhance the accuracy of the selection model, and recommend tuneable resource. For evaluating the performance of our method, instances are collected in TPC-C and TPC-W workloads, and accuracy are calculated using 10 cross validation method, comparisons are made between our scheme and the method which uses only the classification procedure without any simplification of informations. It is shown that our method has over 90% accuracy and can perform tuneable resource selection.

Because of the development of advanced construction technology, the inner environments of building become more and more complicated, which may result in many problems. The administer may forget where they put up the certain picture, and search for it all over the building, or they underestimate the number of the visitors, and find the situation is out of control, while the pedestrian may get lost, and after making their efforts, they found they turned back to the origin point again. So it is very necessary to establish an indoor spatial database. On one hand, it is able to assist administrator to manage the property and human flow inside the building, on the other hand it could help the pedestrian find the way easily especially when they are not familiar with the building or there is an emergency. This paper focused on how to create the indoor spatial database including both static database and moving objects database. The static database is built on the basis of 3D building models, and the moving objects database gets information from many kinds of cameras and sensors installed in the building. And at the same time the paper discussed the practical use of indoor spatial database mainly in three aspects including consistency management, building restructure, and pedestrian navigation.

A web-based intelligent education system(WEST) was designed and implemented to improve the self-directed study for students by providing them the study according to one's ability. WEST is composed of a tutor agent, an administrator module, a teacher module and a student module. The tutor agent analyzes students' ability and selects questions from a database according to their ability. The administrator module administrates subjects and students. The teacher module makes questions with three levels and administrates questions. The students module gives the questions students and the result of study. WEST was used in a mathematics subject for high-school students. Especially our system was better than the others in study according to students' ability.

The purpose of this paper is to develop the web-based apartment flaw-repairing petition system which can be operated under the internet environments. The developed system mainly consists of administrator, constructor and apartment resident section. The administrator can administrate all of the actions which will be occurred during the operation. Constructor must be enrolled before resident can use this system. All of the resident member must enroll before they petition the company. All of the processing is monitored and accumulated at the database to calculate the statistics and finally will be shown by the graphical results. This system which is programmed by the PERL and PHP and MySQL will be easily transformed into the similar kind of request system.

분산객체 기술을 이용한 분산데이터베이스 시스템 개발은 현재의 컴퓨팅 환경을 그대로 사용하면서 적은 비용으로 시스템을 개발할 수 있기 때문에 많이 사용되고 있다. 따라서 현재 학교에서 운용중인 독립형 데이터베이스 시스템을 통합하는 분산데이터베이스 시스템을 개발하면 교사와 교육 공무원 모두에게 쉽게 자료를 통합하고 관리할 수 있는 시스템이 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 CORBA, Java, JDBC를 이용하여 3-Tier 분산 데이터베이스 관리 시스템의 프로토타입을 설계하고 구현하고자 한다.
