  • Jitter occurring during data communication creates difficulties in integrating a system. Such problems arise from using an event triggered communication protocol such as CAN(Controller Area Network) because it cannot be determined when a specific message will be transmitted. In order to avoid this problem, several time triggered communication protocols have been developed orare under development. Those protocols include TTP(TTTech) and TTCAN(BOSCH).   • In this paper, we propose a multicast routing protocol for the seamless delivery of multicast data to mobile hosts through the optimal route in IP based mobile networks. The proposed multicast routing protocol is a hybrid method employing the merits of the bi-directional tunneling and the remote subscription by considering the mobility of mobile hosts. The proposed protocol satisfies the bound of end-to-end delay and supports the seamless handoff. The simulation results show that the proposed protocol has better performance in the number of multicast tree reconstruction and tunneling length and packet loss time than the previous protocols.

  • This paper proposes a new efficient MAC(Media Access Control) protocol to establish the ultrasonic communication network for underwater vehicles, which ensures a certain level of maximum throughput regardless of the propagation delay of ultrasonic and allows fast data transmission through the multiple ultrasonic communication channel. A MAC protocol for underwater communication network that allows 'peer-to-peer' communication between a surface ship and multiple underwater systems is designed, and the proposed control protocol is implemented for its verification.

  • The field of body sensor networks has attracted interest of many researchers due to its potential to revolutionize medicine. These sensors are usually implanted inside the human body and communicate among themselves. In the process of receiving, processing, or transmitting data, these devices produce heat. This heat damages the tissues surrounding the devices in the case of prolonged exposure. In this paper, to reduce this damages, we have improved and evaluated two protocols-the least temperature routing protocol and adaptive least temperature routing protocol-by implementing clustering as well as a leadership rotation algorithm. We used Castalia to simulate a basic body area network cluster composed of 6 nodes. A throughput application was used to simulate all the nodes sending data to one sink node. Simulations results shows that improved communication protocol with leadership rotation algorithm significantly reduce the energy consumption as compared to a scheme without leadership rotation algorithm.

  • Ad hoc MAC protocols using directional antennas can be used to improve the network capacity by improving spatial reuse. But, the directional MAC protocols have the problem of deafness and have a poor throughput performance. The dual-channel DMAC protocol has been proposed to mitigate deafness and improve spatial reuse. In this paper, we propose a dual-channel DMAC protocol using the omnidirectional antenna for an out-of-band tone and directional antennas for control/data channels. In the proposed MAC protocol, an omnidirectional out-of-band tone mitigates deafness and directional antennas used in control/data channels improve spatial reuse and reduce interference packets. The throughput performance of the proposed MAC protocol is confirmed by computer simulations using Qualnet ver. 3.8 simulator.

  • This study aim is to effectively reduce the time that was required for the analysis on an existing communication protocol with the industrial monitoring equipment. We analyzed the collected data with the Modbus protocol and NMEA0183, which is widely used in industrial monitoring. and User will be easy converting to data for use on each devices. The main board of the protocol converter was used AVR128, and RS232C and Ethernet was configured to enable communication.

This paper implemented a protocol conversion algorithm for monitoring of industrial communication Data.   • A sensor network is made up of many sensors deployed in different areas to be monitored. They communicate with each other through a wireless medium. The routing of collected data in the wireless network consumes most of the energy of the network. In the literature, several routing approaches have been proposed to conserve the energy at the sensor level and overcome the challenges inherent in its limitations. In this paper, we propose a new low-energy routing protocol for power grids sensors based on an unsupervised clustering approach. Our protocol equitably harnesses the energy of the selected cluster-head nodes and conserves the energy dissipated when routing the captured data at the Base Station (BS). The simulation results show that our protocol reduces the energy dissipation and prolongs the network lifetime.

  • To apply active RFID technology in the various kinds of industry, it needs to quickly transmit a large amount of data. ISO/IEC 18000-7 standard uses the 433.92MHz as single channel system and its transmit rate is just 27.8kbps, that is insufficient for a large amount of data transmission. To solve this problem, we designed a new data transmission protocol using 2.4GHz band. The feature of designed protocol is not only making over 255bytes data messages using the Burst Read UDB but also efficiently transmitting it. To implement this protocol, we use Texas Instruments's SmartRF04 develop kit and CC2500 transceiver as RF module. As an evaluation of 63.75kbytes data transmission, we demonstrate that transmission time of Burst Read UDB has improved as 17.95% faster than that of Read UDB in the ISO/IEC 18000-7.

  • Recently, a communication protocol for connectivity between various sensors and actuators is issue the key technology in IoT(Internet of Things). IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) CoAP(Constrained Application Protocol) protocol supports the communication between things like sensors and actuator nodes in a limited environment. Smart-phone will work for the data processing of the sensors and the management of IoT nodes at the next generation communication environment. In this paper, we design the connection for smart-phone and IoT node based using IETF CoAP protocol, and implement the middleware with the proposed data refinement on smart-phone. The middleware detects and eliminates a error data and duplicated data using the proposed data refinement. The proposed data refinement scheme supports to transfer a reliability information in the constrained environment.
