  • The conventional scan methods are based on a laser scanner and a depth camera, which requires high cost and complicated post-processing. Whereas in photometric scanning method, the 3D modeling data is acquired through multi-view images. This is advantageous compared to the other methods. The quality of a photometric 3D model depends on the environmental conditions or the object characteristics, but the quality is lower as compared to other methods. Therefore, various methods for improving the quality of photometric scanning are being studied. In this paper, we aim to investigate the effect of illumination conditions on the quality of photometric scanning data. To do this, 'Moai' statue is 3D printed with a size of $600(H){\times}1,000(V){\times}600(D)$. The printed object is photographed under the hard light and soft light environments. We obtained the modeling data by photometric scanning method and compared it with the ground truth of 'Moai'. The 'Point-to-Point' method used to analyseanalyze the modeling data using open source tool 'CloudCompare'. As a result of comparison, it is confirmed that the standard deviation value of the 3D model generated under the soft light is 0.090686 and the standard deviation value of the 3D model generated under the hard light is 0.039954. This proves that the higher quality 3D modeling data can be obtained in a hard light environment. The results of this paper are expected to be applied for the acquisition of high-quality data.

  • Purpose - This study investigates the effect of visual merchandising display (VMD) of local specialty retailer of private label apparel (SPA) brands, such as space, display, and presentation on brand awareness, brand image, and purchase intention. It investigates consumers' VMD awareness and purchase intention of SPA brands to help business activities of local SPA enterprises. Research designs, data, methodology - This study uses SPSS 18.0 to study eight local SPA brands and has 193 effective usable copies from a sample of 200. Results - The display and presentation of VMDs of SPA brands had a positive influence on brand awareness and brand image, which in turn had a positive influence on purchase intention. Conclusions - As SPA brands are increasingly located in supercenters, they face space constraints and find it difficult to display their facade and signs effectively. Therefore, decisions pertaining to display, presentation, and space should consider whether these SPA brands are launched as independent specialty shops or in supercenters. The space for VMD is considered important in independent shops. However, shops that open in supercenters should pay more attention to presentation rather than space.

  • We have investigated anamorphic prism lenses with distortions of 0.3-0.5%. We designed the plastic triangular lens and confirmed the minimum resolution using MTF graphs. Also we confirmed that the SVGA optical system can realize a resolution of $864{\times}648$ 56 megapixels. A distortion of about 0.5% aberration appears in the maximum field, and a finite beam aberration of about $15{\mu}m$ is confirmed. We made a mold based on the design data and completed the prism lens through exodus molding. We confirmed the shape error (< $30{\mu}m$) and surface roughness (> 40 nm) of the three sides. We made the video-information-display prototype glasses using prism lens by measuring the performance, we determined the distortion aberration (0.3%) and SVGA resolution. Our approach will enable fabrication of a portable large-screen display device for glasses and sunglasses for the domestic market and, after 2015, for the world market.
