We propose an efficient video watermarking scheme using re-estimation and minimum modification technique of motion vectors. Conventional methods based on motion vectors do watermarking using modification of motion vectors. However, change of motion vectors results in the degradation of video quality. Thus, our scheme minimizes the modification of the original motion vectors and replaces an original motion vector by the adjacent optimal motion vector using re-estimation of motion vectors to avoid degradation of video quality. Besides, our scheme guarantees the amount of embedded watermark data using the adaptive threshold considering for an efficient video watermarking. In addition, this is compatible with current video compression standards without changing the bitstream. Experimental result shows that the proposed scheme obtains better video quality than other previous algorithms by about $0.6{\sim}1.3\;dB$.

Due to the advances in hardware technologies for low-power CMOS cameras, there have been various researches on wireless video sensor network(WVSN) applications including agricultural monitoring and environmental tracking. In such a system, its core technologies include video compression and wireless transmission. Since data of video sensors are bigger than those of other sensors, it is particularly necessary to estimate precisely the traffic after video encoding. In this paper, we present an estimation method for the encoded video traffic in WVSN networks. To estimate traffic characteristics accurately, the proposed method first measures complexities of frames and then applies them to the bit rate estimation adaptively. It is shown by experimental results that the proposed method improves the estimation of bit rate characteristics by more than 12% as compared to the existing method.

In most of the structural members with initial cracks, the strength tends to decrease as the member size increases. This phenomenon is known as size effect. Among the structural materials of glass, metal or concrete, etc., concrete represents the size effect even without initial crack. According to the previous size effect law, the concrete member of very large size can resist little stress. Actually, however, even the large size member can resist some stress if there is no initial notch. This means that the fracture mechanism of very small or very large size member follows strength criterion, but the medium size member follows non-linear fracture mechanics (NLFM). In this study, the empirical models which are derived based on nonlinear fracture mechanics are proposed according to the regression analysis with the existing test data of large size specimens for uni-axial compression test, splitting tensile test and shear test of reinforced concrete beams.

The modeling of loss of bond between reinforcing bars (rebars) and concrete due to corrosion is useful in studying the behavior and prediction of residual load bearing capacity of corroded reinforced concrete (RC) members. In the present work, first the possibility of using different methods to simulate the rebars-concrete bonding, which is used in three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) modeling of corroded RC beams, was explored. The cohesive surface interaction method was found to be most suitable for simulating the bond between rebars and concrete. Secondly, using the cohesive surface interaction approach, the 3D FE modeling of the behavior of non-corroded and corroded RC beams was carried out in an ABAQUS environment. Experimental data, reported in literature, were used to validate the models. Then using the developed models, a parametric study was conducted to examine the effects of some parameters, such as degree and location of the corrosion, on the behavior and residual capacity of the corroded beams. The results obtained from the parametric analysis using the developed model showed that corrosion in top compression rebars has very small effect on the flexural behaviors of beams with small flexural reinforcement ratio that is less than the maximum ratio specified in ACI-318-14 (singly RC beam). In addition, the reduction of steel yield strength in tension reinforcement due to corrosion is the main source of reducing the load bearing capacity of corroded RC beams. The most critical corrosion-induced damage is the complete loss of bond between rebars and the concrete as it causes sudden failure and the beam acts as un-reinforced beam.
Today, the modeling of concrete as a material within finite element simulations is predominantly done through nonlinear material models of concrete. In current sophisticated computational systems, there are a number of complex concrete material models which are based on theory of plasticity, damage mechanics, linear or nonlinear fracture mechanics or combinations of those theories. These models often include very complex constitutive relations which are suitable for the modeling of practically any continuum mechanics tasks. However, the usability of these models is very often limited by their parameters, whose values must be defined for the proper realization of appropriate constitutive relations. Determination of the material parameter values is very complicated in most material models. This is mainly due to the non-physical nature of most parameters, and also the large number of them that are frequently involved. In such cases, the designer cannot make practical use of the models without having to employ the complex inverse parameter identification process. In continuum mechanics, however, there are also constitutive relations that require the definition of a relatively small number of parameters which are predominantly of a physical nature and which describe the behavior of concrete very well within a particular task. This paper presents an example of such constitutive relations which have the potential for implementation and application in finite element systems. Specifically, constitutive relations for modeling the plane stress state of concrete are presented and subsequently tested and evaluated in this paper. The relations are based on the incremental theory of elastic strain-hardening plasticity in which a non-associated flow rule is used. The calculation result for the case of concrete under uniaxial compression is compared with the experimental data for the purpose of the validation of the constitutive relations used.

In this paper dynamic deformation of lower hinge of refrigerator is simulated using dynamic finite element analysis while refrigerator is being dropped. The flow stress curves considering velocity dependency of hinge and lower packing material are determined through bending test and compression test at several dropping speeds. The determined material properties and flow stress from reverse engineering were used as input data for refrigerator's drop test using a dynamic finite element analysis software LS-DYNA. Additionally the result between CAE and 3D deformation measurement from real refrigerator drop test are compared and the result shows that the proposed analysis model is very useful to design lower hinge and lower packing endurable to the impulsive drop impact.
A pressure vessel is a cylindrical container that accommodates a pressurized fluid. In real life, there are propane canisters and butane canisters. According to data from the Korea Gas Safety Corporation, The number of domestic gas accidents is average 33 cases of domestic gas accidents occurred per year and 20.8 for mobile butane gases. The purpose of this study was to investigate a method to prevent this kind of explosion. Common studies include forced drain through safe holes, forced separation of butane canisters, and manufacturing of high-strength steel. This paper uses a concept that reduces stress inside the cylinder using prestressed method that precede compression. In other words, install a long liner in both ends of the pressure vessel. I want to develop a safety device that acts like a gas intermediate valve.

EBS started 2HD MMS experimental broadcasting for the first time in Korea on Feb. 11, 2015. It uses the picture compression technique based on MPEG-2 CODEC, and applies the result of the experiment about variable bit rates and changes according to the scanning types, 1080i and 720p. But when changing channels, the delay in displaying picture occurs because of the operation of the variable GOP on MMS broadcasting, which optimizes image quality by application variable bit rates. In this study, verified the relationship between the decoding time of I frames and the GOP set in the encoding step by experimenting and analyzing ON-AIR TS. By using the verification data and adjusts the Encoder GOP parameters, improved the different video display time delays according to the scanning mode 1080i and 720p.

Idiopathic fibrosing mediastinitis is, an uncommon cause of pulmonary hypertension this is characterized by excessive fibrosis of the mediastinum with an unknown etiology. Steroid therapy has been suggested for individuals with progressive symptoms, bu there is littlet data demonstrating the efficacy of such therapy are lacking. We present a case of pulmonary hypertension secondary to a compression of a main pulmonary artery by fibrosing mediastinitis which was confirmed by a biopsy with a thoracotomy. The chest CT scan and 2D echocardiography performed before and after a trial of steroid therapy demonstrated improvement after steroid therapy.
PURPOSE. This study was to evaluate the effect of the solution temperature on the mechanical properties of dualcure resin cements. MATERIALS AND METHODS. For the study, five dual-cure resin cements were chosen and light cured. To evaluate the effect of temperature on the specimens, the light-cured specimens were immersed in deionized water at three different temperatures (4, 37 and $60^{\circ}C$) for 7 days. The control specimens were aged in a $37^{\circ}C$ dry and dark chamber for 24 hours. The mechanical properties of the light-cured specimens were evaluated using the Vickers hardness test, three-point bending test, and compression test, respectively. Both flexural and compressive properties were evaluated using a universal testing machine. The data were analyzed using a two way ANOVA with Tukey test to perform multiple comparisons (${\alpha}$=0.05). RESULTS. After immersion, the specimens showed significantly different microhardness, flexural, and compressive properties compared to the control case regardless of solution temperatures. Depending on the resin brand, the microhardness difference between the top and bottom surfaces ranged approximately 3.3-12.2%. Among the specimens, BisCem and Calibra showed the highest and lowest decrease of flexural strength, respectively. Also, Calibra and Multilink Automix showed the highest and lowest decrease of compressive strength, respectively compared to the control case. CONCLUSION. The examined dual-cure resin cements had compatible flexural and compressive properties with most methacrylate-based composite resins and the underlying dentin regardless of solution temperature. However, the effect of the solution temperature on the mechanical properties was not consistent and depended more on the resin brand.
