  • The study aims to analyze the mixed characteristics of knit fashion design as demonstrated in Sacai's collection, which promotes hybrid and mesh-up fusion and proposes various knit design ideas. Standards for categorizing mixed phenomena of Sacai's knit design were established through a review of literature and data analysis. The study's data collection period was from 2012 to 2021, and a total of 174 items were analyzed. The following are the results. First is the fusion of traditional knit and contemporary styles expressed through de-constructive design; traditional knit styles are combined with contemporary styles through color, material, and knitting structure mixtures, such as mixing Northern European Aran, Fair Isle, Nordic, and Ropy knit. Second, the Sakai knit design combines male and female styles by mixing materials and details. A deconstructed knit cardigan was matched with androcentric pin-striped shirts worn over layered shirring skirts embellished with chiffon and lace. Third, everyday street fashion style is blended with a formal, elegant fashion style. For example, the front view has a typical everyday appearance, whereas the back view contains florid and decorated details. The style is expressed as a 360-degrees appellation, with one thing in the front and another in the back. Sacai's distinctive expressional characteristics include a mixed and de-constructive style characterized by unexpected design.

  • Genomic approach produces massive amount of data within a short time period, New high-throughput automatic sequencers can generate over a million nucleotide sequence information overnight. A typical DNA chip experiment produces tens of thousands expression information, not to mention the tens of megabyte image files, These data must be handled automatically by computer and stored in electronic database, Thus there is a need for systematic approach of data collection, processing, and analysis. DNA sequence information is translated into amino acid sequence and is analyzed for key motif related to its biological and/or biochemical function. Functional genomics will play a significant role in identifying novel drug targets and diagnostic markers for serious diseases. As an enabling technology for functional genomics, bioinformatics is in great need worldwide, In Korea, a new functional genomics project has been recently launched and it focuses on identi☞ing genes associated with cancers prevalent in Korea, namely gastric and hepatic cancers, This involves gene discovery by high throughput sequencing of cancer cDNA libraries, gene expression profiling by DNA microarray and proteomics, and SNP profiling in Korea patient population, Our bioinformatics team will support all these activities by collecting, processing and analyzing these data.

  • Aggregating data with an optimal delay, which is a critical problem in Wireless Sensor Networks applications, is proven as NP-hard. In this paper, we focus on optimizing the aggregation delay by presenting an idea for channel and timeslot co-scheduling data aggregation in MWSNs. The proposed scheme, which names Break and Join, maximizes the number of sensor nodes to be scheduled in a working period, so that the overall number of working periods and data collection delay are reduced.

  • The light buoy, a floating structure at sea, is prone to drifting due to external factors such as oceanic weather. This makes it imperative to monitor for any loss or displacement of buoys. In order to address this issue, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries aims to issue alerts for buoy displacement by analyzing historical buoy position data to detect patterns. However, periodic lifting inspections, which are conducted every two years, disrupt the buoy's location pattern. As a result, new patterns need to be analyzed after each inspection for location monitoring. In this study, buoy position data from various periods were analyzed using convex hull and distance-based clustering algorithms. In addition, the optimal data collection period was identified in order to accurately recognize buoy location patterns. The findings suggest that a nine-week data collection period established stable location patterns, explaining approximately 89.8% of the variance in location data. These results can improve the management of light buoys based on location patterns and aid in the effective monitoring and early detection of buoy displacement.
