Development of Platform for Connection of Electronic Power Backbone based on D-TRS (D-TRS 기반 전력기간망 접속을 위한 게이트웨이 플랫폼 개발)

  • D-TRS is a method of wireless communication. This method will be able to use several frequency for multiple user used chanel together. TETRA of D-TRS technology is not rented network. Using TETRA network has the strong point which cost better than CDMA network of rental network. Master server of SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system is realtime supervise control and a data acquire the control system or the RTU(Remote Terminal Unit). The present paper is developed and proposal the gateway platform for electronic power backbone network based on D-TRS. This gateway platform is converted DNP3.0 messages with TETRA PDU and converted TETRA PDU with DNP3.0 messages. Master server and FRTU will be able to send and receive DNP3.0 message via TETRA network using this gateway platform.

  • In this paper, we propose a game server using public network library ACE, which has been developed in various fields for a long time. ACE network library has been considered not only in the area of high efficient real-time communication library but also in the area of application development, and it provides various facilities. We logically reorganized the part, which is necessary to develop games, among various functions of ACE and optimized it, and developed real battlenet server using verify the reorganized library. As the method of experiment, the battlenet server and test client were set and interface request test and data electrical transmission test were conducted. As the result of the experiment, the conclusion that it is possible to develop games by using ACE, which is verified network library, has been obtained.

  • This paper designs and implements fault-tolerant server of meta server for shared filesystem (SANfs) in SAN environment. SANfs is the filesystem that many clients can share data in Network-attached storage in SAN environment and meta server is the server that processes file operation in SANfs. The focus of this paper is the implementation of fault-tolerant server of meta server in SANfs. In the event of a meta server, meta server failovers to a fault-tolerant server where its processing continues seamlessly. If meta server doesn't restore, fault-tolerant server searches reliable client and makes another fault-tolerant server and work as meta server. Heartbeat monitors meta server and shadow server and controls them.

  • The SDN(Software Defined Networking) technology, which appeared to overcome the limitations of the existing network system, resolves the rigidity of the existing system through the separation of HW and SW in network equipment. These characteristics of SDN provide wide scalability beyond hardware-oriented network equipment, and provide flexible load balancing policies in data centers of various sizes. In the meantime, many studies have been conducted to apply the advantages of SDN to data centers and have shown their effectiveness. The method mainly used in previous studies was to periodically check the server load and perform load balancing based on this. In this method, the more the number of servers and the shorter the server load check cycle, the more traffic increases. In this paper, we propose a new load balancing technique that can eliminate unnecessary traffic and manage server resources more efficiently by reporting to the controller when a specific level of load occurs in the server to solve this limitation.

  • Nowadays, Internet users are widespread internationally. Fallowing the users requirements, server has to transfer real-time multimedia data to many clients. Multicast can significantly reduce the system overhead and the network resource waste, so it supports efficient mechanism when server has to transfer same data to many clients. We can deliver multimedia data transfer in real-time using Patching Algorithm which has no delay for service request. And multicast algorithm can support different network bandwidth using Receiver driven Layered Multicast under heterogeneous environment network. The purpose of this paper is to suggest an algorithm that can create new multicast group adequately and transfer real-time multimedia data efficiently under heterogeneous environment.

  • In this research, we create a network infrastructure based on a service-oriented infrastructure (SOI) for the virtualization technology and integrate it with a cloud technology that applies the cloud integration management platform (CIMP) concept. In CIMP, the server and storage will be separated. The server will be adopted for virtualization while the storage will be used by students and teachers to store data. As long they save their data in the storage module, every time, everywhere, and on every device, they can access their data. This research will implement the design of the network infrastructure and be applied to the remote practical learning system in the laboratory. Students and teachers will ultimately adopt this network infrastructure for remote practice using their respective devices without physically meeting in the laboratory. In the future, if the implementation phase is successful, then in addition to laboratory environments, it can be implemented in all learning activities at our campus.

A Study on Traffic Distribution Processing using the Round Robin Monitoring System

  • As the result of the study shows, Round Robin Algorithm allows servers to ensure definite traffic distribution, unless incoming data loads differ much. Although error levels are high in some cases, they were eventually alleviated by repeated tests for a long period of time. The study uses two software packages (Packet Capture and Round Robin Test Package) to check packet volume from Virtual Network Structure (data generator, virtual server, Server 1, 2, 3), and finds out traffic distribution toward Server 1, 2, and 3. The functions of implemented Round Robin Load Balancing Monitoring System include round robin testing, system monitoring, and graphical indication of data transmission and packet volume.

  • As the IMO introduced MASS (Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships), ISO(International Organization for Standardization) announced ISO 19847 of a maritime data sharing standard for collecting and remotely managing data of ship systems. Previous literature evaluated the risk using HAZOP for ISO 19847 and proved that risk assessment is useful through experiments. However, redundancy of ISO 19847 ship data server which is one of the risk reduction method suggested in previous literature, was designed but couldn't tested due to the limitations of the conditions. So, in this study, to prove the usefulness of the ship data server redundancy of ISO 19847 which was not tested in previous literature. It based on the design of previous literature, and the network of ship data servers was modeled using the SES/DEVS format and simulated using the DEVS# open source library.

  • Recently, as interest in Home networking is increased, research about multimedia clip service is gone. Because of the limit to bandwidth of home network, the problem of server traffic is increased by transferring many multimedia data through Client-Sewer Way for long. The data share network system applied is designed and implemented to solve this problem. P2P is connected directly between clients and exchanges data without going through a sewer. We implemented platform-independent System using Java and applied P2P skill to reduce server traffic.

A Predictive Virtual Machine Placement in Decentralized Cloud using Blockchain

  • Host's data during transmission. Data tempering results in loss of host's sensitive information, which includes number of VM, storage availability, and other information. In the distributed cloud environment, each server (computing server (CS)) configured with Local Resource Monitors (LRMs) which runs independently and performs Virtual Machine (VM) migrations to nearby servers. Approaches like predictive VM migration [21] [22] by each server considering nearby server's CPU usage, roatative decision making capacity [21] among the servers in distributed cloud environment has been proposed. This approaches usage underlying server's computing power for predicting own server's future resource utilization and nearby server's resource usage computation. It results in running VM and its running application to remain in waiting state for computing power. In order to reduce this, a decentralized decision making hybrid model for VM migration need to be proposed where servers in decentralized cloud receives, future resource usage by analytical computing system and takes decision for migrating VM to its neighbor servers. Host's in the decentralized cloud shares, their detail with peer servers after fixed interval, this results in chance to tempering messages that would be exchanged in between HC and CH. At the same time, it reduces chance of over utilization of peer servers, caused due to compromised host. This paper discusses, an roatative decisive (RD) approach for VM migration among peer computing servers (CS) in decentralized cloud environment, preserving confidentiality and integrity of the host's data. Experimental result shows that, the proposed predictive VM migration approach reduces extra VM migration caused due over utilization of identified servers and reduces number of active servers in greater extent, and ensures confidentiality and integrity of peer host's data.
