LOCAL ULTRALUMINOUS INFRARED GALAXIES IDENTIFIED IN THE AKARI ALL SKY SURVEY

  • We crossmatch AKARI all-sky survey with the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 10 (SDSS DR10) and the Final Data Release of the Two-Degree Field Galaxy Redshift Survey (2dFGRS) and identify 118 Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies (ULIRGs) and one Hyperluminous Infrared Galaxy (HLIRG). We find 40 new ULIRGs and one new HLIRG. ULIRGs in our sample are interacting galaxies or ongoing/post mergers. This is consistent with the fact that ULIRGs are major mergers of disk galaxies. We find that compared to local star forming SDSS galaxies of similar mass, local ULIRGs have lower oxygen abundances and this is consistent with the previous studies.

폐회로 시스템에서 고압 디젤엔진의 연소특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Combustion Characteristics of the High Pressure Diesel Engine in Closed Cycle System)

  • The closed cycle diesel engine is used in a closed circuit system which has no air breathing. The working fluid as intake mixture are consisted of oxygen, argon and recirculated exhaust gas in order to obtain underwater or underground power sources. In the present study, the high pressure diesel engine which can be operated by the closed cycle system with high intake pressure for increasing the net power rate is designed. It has been carried out to investigate the combustion characteristics of high pressure diesel engine according to the power rate. The maximum cylinder pressure and heat release rate were investigated. Also, major experimental data such as specific fuel consumption rate, oxygen concentrations, fuel conversion efficiency, polytropic exponent, and IMEP were compared with low pressure diesel engine experimental data.

농어촌의 용수계획을 위한 저수지군 물수지모형의 개발 (Development of Multireservoir Water Balance Model for the Planning of Rural Water Demands)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a multireservoir water balance model which may be used to evaluate rural water demands such as agricultural water, domestic water, industrial water and livestock water and to determine effective storage of reservoir. The model was verified to compare the observed reservoir release data with the simulated reservoir release data of the existing Munsan and Dongbu reservoirs located in the Gisan rural district for 3 years('87~'89). For model application, the effective storages of existing reservoirs(Munsan & Dongbu) were evaluated for 10-year frequency drought and that of newly planned reservoirs(Kumbok & Kudong) were determined for 10-year frequency drought. In addition, the behavior of effective storages for existing reservoirs were analyzed in the case of introducing new reservoirs in the existing system.

흰쥐 해마에서 Norepinephrine 유리에 미치는 Adenosine Receptor의 Post-Receptor 기전에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Post-Receptor Mechanism of Adenosine Receptor on Norepinephrine Release in the Rat Hippocampus)

  • 흰쥐 해마(hippocampus)에서 norepinephrine(NE) 유리에 미치는 $A_1-adenosine$ 수용체의 post-receptor 기전에 관한 지견을 얻고자 하여 $^3H-norepinephrine$으로 평형시킨 해마 절편을 사용하여 adenosine의 $^3H-NE$ 유리에 미치는 여러가지 약물의 영향을 관찰하였다. Adenosine($1{\sim}30{\mu}M$)은 전기자극(3 Hz, 2 ms, 5 Vcm-1, 구형파)에 의한 NE 유리를 용량 의존적으로 감소시켰고, 이 효과는 선택적인 $A_1-adenosine$ 수용체 차단제인 $8-cyclopentyl-1,3-dipropylxanthine(2{\mu}M)$에 의해 차단되었다. G-단백 억제제인 N-ethylmaleimide(NEM, 10과 $30{\mu}M$)는 그 자체로써 전기자극으로 유발시킨 NE 유리를 증가시켰으며, adenosine의 NE 유리 억제효과는 NEM 전처리에 의하여 완전히 소실되었다. Protein kinase C 활성화제인 $4{\beta}-phorbol$ 12,13-dibutyrate(PDB, $1{\mu}M$)는 NE 유리 증가를 일으켰고, 이 효소 억제제인 $4{\beta}-polymyxin$ B(PMB, 0.1 mg)는 NE 유리감소를 일으켰으며, adenosine에 의한 NE 유리 감소효과는 PDB에 의해 억제되었고, PMB 전처리하에서는 감소효과가 출현하지 않았다. $Ca^{2+}$-통로 차단제인 $nifedipine(1{\mu}M$)은 adenosine의 NE 유리 억제효과에 영향을 미치지 못하고, ATP에 의존적인 $K^+-$통로 차단제인 glibenclamide역시 adenosine의 NE 유리 억제효과에 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 그러나 delayed rectifier $K^+-$통로 차단제인 tetraethylammonium(TEA, 3 mM)은 그 자체로 NE 유리를 증가 시켰으며, adenosine의 NE 유리 억제효과를 차단함을 볼 수 있었다. 8-bromo-cAMP(100과 $300{\mu}M$) 그 자체로는 NE 유리에 별다른 영향을 미치지 못하였으나 8-bromo-cAMP 전처리에 의하여 adenosine의 NE 유리 억제효과가 억제됨을 볼 수 있었다. 이상의 실험결과로 흰쥐 해마에서 $A_1-adenosine$ 수용체를 통한 adenosine의 NE 유리 감소는 G-단백에 의존적이며, 이러한 효과에 protein kinase C, TEA에 예민한 $K^+-$통로 및 adenylate cyclase계가 복합적으로 관여하고 nifedipine에 예민한 $Ca^{2+}-$통로와 glibenclamide에 예민한 $K^+-$통로는 관여하지 않는 것으로 사료된다.

고혈압백서의 신장 Renin Heterogeneity에 관하여 (Heterogeneity of Renin Released from Renal Cortical Slices)

  • It has been well known that the renal cortical blood flow rate was much higher than that of the medulla and the renal blood flow distribution was affected by hemorrhage, volume expansion or salt-loading. The existance of the heterogeneities of glomerular filtration rate and nephron has also been reported. In order to understand the regulations and physiological roles of the heterogeneities, studies on the intrarenal renin-angiotensin system have been focused. Although it is well known that the granularity of iuxtaglomerular cells and renal renin content are more marked in superficial than in the deep glomeruli, their physiological significance is not quite clear. This study was therefore undertaken to clarify changes in renin response and isoelectric ronin profile to TMB-8 in outer, mid and inner cotices of normotensive and hypertensive rats. The basal rate of renin release was highest in outer cortex of Sprague-Dawley rat (SDR), Wistar rat (WR) and spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR). The basal renin release from outer and inner cortex of SHR was significantly lower than that from those of SDR. The reponse of renin release to TM8-8 was highest in mid cortex and the increase of renin release in response to TMB-8 from inner cortex of SDR was significantly higher than that in SHR. In dehydrated rats, the basal renin release from renal cortical slices of SDR was increased but that from WR and SHR was not. The response of renin release to TMB-8 from mid and inner cortex of dehydrated WR tended to increase. In dehyrated SHR, increase of renin release from inner cortex was significantly higher than that in euhydrated SHR. No significant differences in the isoelectric renin profile were found both in different cortical areas and strains. In dehydrated rats, the percentage of renin form 2 was decreased and those of renin form 5 and 6 were increased. These results suggest that the heterogeneity of renin release from cortical area of euhydrated and dehydrated rats in response to TMB-8 may be related to the changes of renal blood flow and/or calcium metabolism in cortical area. These data also suggest that the renin forms with different isoelectric points may have an physiological significance.

흰쥐 복강 비만세포에서 Dendroaspis natriuretic peptide에 의한 히스타민 유리 (HISTAMINE RELEASE INDUCED BY DENDROASPIS NATRIURETIC PEPTIDE FROM RAT PERITONEAL MAST CELLS)

  • Dendroaspis natriuretic peptide (DNP)는 최근에 green Mamba snake Dendroaspis angusticeps의 독(venom)에서 발견된 17개의 아미노산 disulfide링 구조를 포함하는 38개 아미노산 펩티드로 natriuretic peptide family와 그 구조가 비슷하다. Natriuretic peptide family는 사람과 흰쥐 비만세포로부터 히스타민을 유리시킨다고 알려져 있다. 그러나 DNP가 비만 세포로부터 히스타민을 유리 시키는 여부는 밝혀져 있지 않다. 본 연구는 DNP가 흰쥐 복강 비만세포로부터 히스타민을 유리시키는 여부와 함께 히스타민 유리기전을 구명하고자 실시되었다. 다양한 농도의 DNP를 흰쥐 복강 비만세포에 처리한 다음, 비만세포의 탈과립을 도립 광학현미경으로 관찰하였다. 히스타민 유리량은 방사효소법으로 측정하였고 세포내 칼슘 유입량과 cyclic GMP의 수준은 방사면역법으로 측정하였다. DNP는 흰쥐 복강 비만세포를 탈과립시켰고 농도가 증가함에 따라 비만세포로부터 히스타민 유리량이 증가되었다. 또한 DNP는 농도 증가에 비례하여 비만세포 안으로 세포밖의 칼슘을 유입시켰으며 세포안의 cyclic GMP의 수준을 증가시켰다. 이상의 결과로 미루어, DNP는 비만세포 안의 cyclic GMP와 칼슘의 농도를 증가시켜 비만세포로부터 히스타민을 유리시키는 것으로 생각된다.

치수에서 Eugenol이 iCGRP(immunoreactive calcitonin gene-related peptide)의 분비 조절에 미치는 영향 (EFFECT OF EUGENOL ON REGULATION OF iCGRP RELEASE FROM THE BOVINE DENTAL PULP)

  • Eugenol has been reported to reduce odontogenic pain and is known to have a structure similar to capsaicin, a potent stimulant of certain nociceptors. We have hypothesized that the analgesic effect of eugenol may be due, in part, to inhibition of capsaicin-sensitive nociceptors. To test this hypothesis, we evaluate whether eugenol inhibits capsaicin-sensitive release of immunoreactive calcitonin generated peptide(iCGRP) from bovine dental pulp. Freshly extracted bovine incisors were transported to the lab. on ice, Spilitted and pulp tissue was removed. The tissue was chopped into 200${\mu}m$ slices. Dental pulp was superfused(340 ${\mu}l/min$) in vitro with oxygenated Kreb's buffer. Eugenol and vehicle(0.02% 2-hydroxyl-${\beta}$-cyclodextrin) were administered prior to stimulation of pulp with capsaicin and iCGRP was measured by RIA. The results were as follows: 1. Administration of eugenol has no effect on basal release of iCGRP. 2. In the vehicle treated group, capsaicin evoked a 2.5-fold increase over basal iCGRP levels. 3. Administration of eugenol(600 ${\mu}M$) reduced capsaicin evoked release of iCGRP by more than 40%(153.4${\pm}$41.1% vs 258.9${\pm}$21.7%). 4. 2-hydroxylpropyl-${\beta}$-cyclodextrin of less than 0.02% is found to be an effective vehicle to dissolve eugenol without evoking iCGRP release from dental bovine pulp. These data indicate that eugenol inhibits pulpal capsaicin-sensitive fibers and suggest that intracanal medicament of eugenol may relieve pain, in part, by this mechanism.

노내 손상 핵연료의 산화거동 및 핵연료 산화가 핵분열기체 방출에 미치는 효과 (Oxidation Kinetics of $UO_2$ Pellets in Defective Fuel Rods and Its Effect on Fission Gas Release)

  • 손상 핵연료에서 발생하는 주요한 현상중의 하나는 수중기의 분해로 갭에 존재하는 산소에 의해 $UO_2$$UO_{2+}$x/로 산화되고, 이로 인해 결정립내에서의 핵분열기체 확산계수가 증가하여 결과적으로 핵분열 기체의 방출이 증대하는 현상이다. 본 논문은 일반적인 원자로 운전 조건하에서 원자로 및 손상 핵연료의 운전조건을 고려하여 소결체의 산화거동을 모사하고 이를 바탕으로 소결체 산화가 핵분열기체의 방출 중대에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 소결체 산화거동은 갭에는 150기압의 포화된 순수한 수증기만이 존재한다는 가정하에 분석하였고, 산화에 의한 핵분열기체의 방출 증대 효과를 정량적으로 분석하기 위해 방출중대 인자를 도입하였다. 실험 치와 비교한 결과 방출증대 인자는 소결체 산화에 의한 핵분열기체의 방출증대 효과를 잘 예측하였다.
