  • In this paper, we propose a method for estimation software quality in terms of software test data, and it is necessary to predict the period of time required for software test evaluation. We need a model to understand of estimation of software quality. In this paper, we propose a model to estimate the number of days for software test using the data obtained through the tester's sex, and present a model for analysing the number of errors according to six quality characteristics by software type.

  • This paper is concerned with analysing the bankruptcy prediction power of three models: Multivariate Discriminant Analysis(MDA ), Logit Analysis, Neural Network. The after-crisis bankrupted companies were limited to the research data and the listed companies belonging to manufacturing industry was limited to the research data so as to improve prediction accuracy and validity of the model. In order to assure meaningful bankruptcy prediction, training data and testing data were not extracted within the corresponding period. The result is that prediction accuracy of neural network model is more excellent than that of logit analysis and MDA model when considering that execution of testing data was followed by execution of training data.

  • Consider a life testing experiment in which multiple two-component shared parallel systems are put on test, and the test is terminated at a specified number of system failures. The bivariate data obtained from such a system-level life testing can be classified into three classes: 1) the case of failed two components with known failure times, 2) the case of censored two components, and 3) the case of one censored component and the other failed component of which the failure time might be known or unknown. Under this censoring scheme and the assumption of Freund's bivariate exponential life distribution, the maximum likelihood estimators are obtained. Results of comparative studies based on Monte Carlo simulation are presented.

  • The testing processes for VLSI finished devices are considerably complex because they require different types of ATE to be linked together. Due to the interaction effect between two or more linked ATEs, it is difficult to trace down the cause of the unexpected longer ATE setup time and random yields, which frequently occur in the VLSI circuit-testing laboratory. The goal of this paper is to develop and demonstrate the methodology designed to eliminate the possible interaction factors that might affect the random yields and/or unexpected longer setup time as well as increase the productivity. The statistical method such as design of experiment or multivariate analysis cannot be applied to the final testing floor here directly due to the environmental constraints. Expanded product data information (PDI) is constructed by combining product data information and ATE control information. An architecture utilizing expanded PDI is designed, which enables the engineer to conduct statistical approach investigation and reduce the setup time, as well as increase yield.

  • In this paper, we propose a software reliability growth model based on the testing domain in the software system, which is isolated by the executed test cases in software testing. In particular, our model assumes an imperfect debugging environment in which new faults are introduced in the fault-correction process, and is formulated as a nonhomogeneous Poisson process(NHPP). Further, it is applied to fault-detection data, the results of software reliability assessment are shown, and comparison of goodness-of-fit with the existing software reliability growth model is performed.

  • Many people are interesting software quality. Because of, we depend on software in our life. In terms of, I think, good software is a good quality software. So, when we develop the software, we need trying to improve software quality. In this paper, we analyze software test data. We emphasize that software quality is very important in our life. We use software experimental data, in order to analyze of software quality. On the basis of ISO/IEC 9126-2, we classify the test data and we analyze the difference of error frequency according to functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability. We analyze the number of test and used time according software type. We want to search effect variable, going through testing result and measurement convergence, we know the effect variable of functionality and efficiency.

  • The nonlinear characteristics of a suspension is directly related to the ride quality of a passenger car. In this study, a dynamic experiment for a spring and a damper of a passenger car is performed to analyze the nonlinear characteristics using MTS 1-axial testing machine and a mathematical nonlinear dynamic suspension model based on experimental data is devised to estimate the ride quality using Billings' method. The devised nonlinear model is applied to the ride quality analysis using K factor and the effect of suspension parameters is examined. As a result, the friction between the cylinder and the piston of a damper is the most effective parameter for the ride quality of a passenger car.

  • Currently, IoT mobile applications are growing fast in number and complexity. As a result, the applications quality issue became crucial, hence to ensure their quality a proper testing is highly required. Testing such mobile applications is always tedious, time-consuming and expensive. To cope with these issues, we propose a testing approach using activity diagram with data flow information. The main functionality of IoT applications is exposing the meaningful data obtained from the sensors to the users by doing a lot of analysis, comparison, and computation. Therefore, our focus is on identifying and selecting the most appropriate paths at which calculation is taking place and the paths at which predicate exists. In our case study, we have used a real-world IoT mobile application and identified a total of ten test paths with two predicate uses and two computation uses through an example. With applying only this four critical paths, we can adequately test the application's core functionalities while significantly reduce the testing effort and cost.

  • In this paper, we aim to check the reliability growth of multiple launch rocket components by the life evaluation. We apply the Crow-AMSAA model to the sets of test data obtained from the development phase. The result of the data analysis shows that the reliability of some components needs to be improved. In order to improve their reliability, we analyze the failure mechanism and change their designs. The verification of the reliability growth for those components is done by analyzing the data sets obtained by the accelerated life tests. As a result, we show that the MTBF of those components is increased and also their reliabilities improved.

  • When a quality inspection process rejects a product unit, consecutive repeated inspections are sometimes conducted for the rejected unit to reduce a false reject possibility. This paper analyzes a special inspection process that allows up to two times of consecutive testing for each product to decrease type I inspection errors. This study uses a Markov chain to model the steps of the inspection process and a product unit's quality states during inspection. Historical inspection results from a company are used as the data for the Markov chain model. Using the Markov chain model and data, this study analyzes the effect of this special inspection rule on the proportion of the final quality levels and scrap rate. The results demonstrate that this inspection process of possible double testing could help reduce unnecessary rejects and consequently decrease material and production costs.
