시뮬레이션을 통한 교차로 충돌 속도 추정 (The Estimation of Collision Speed at the Intersection using Simulation)

  • 수식적 해법을 이용하여 교차로 교통사고 충돌 속도를 산정을 위해서는 충돌 전 차량 진입각 및 충돌 후 차량 이탈각 추정은 비교적 쉽지만, 충돌 후 차량의 감속을 분석하기는 매우 어렵다. 충돌 지점부터 최종 위치까지 이동하는 과정에서 노면 흔적이 발생하지 않으면, 충돌 후 차량의 감속을 분석하기 어렵다. 차량의 주행 특성에 따른 관성력과 충돌 부위 및 충돌 속도에 따른 편심력 등의 작용으로 충돌 후 차량 운동 궤적은 불규칙한 곡선 궤적을 보인다. 그러므로, 정확한 충돌 속도 분석을 위해서는 충돌 후 적정한 이탈각을 설정하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션(PC-Crash)을 이용한 모의 충돌 실험 자료에 근거하여 충돌 후 적정한 차량 이탈각과 충돌 속도와의 상관관계를 분석하여 회귀 분석 모형을 제안하고, 교차로 충돌사고에 차량 이탈각만을 적용한 충돌 속도 산출 방법을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 회귀 분석 모형에서 결정 계수는 0.864이므로 제시한 회귀 분석 모형이 매우 적합하다는 것을 알 수 있다.

  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) require collision avoidance capabilities equivalent to the capabilities of manned aircraft to enter the airspace of manned aircraft. In the case of Visual Flight Rules of manned aircraft, collision avoidance is performed by 'See-and-Avoid' of pilots. To obtain those capabilities of UAVs named as 'Sense-and-Avoid', sensor-system-based intruder tracking and collision avoidance methods are required. In this study, a multi-sensor-based tracking, data fusion, and collision avoidance algorithm is designed by using a model-based design tool MATLAB/SIMULINK, and validations of the designed model and code using numerical simulations and processor-in-the-loop simulations are performed.

  • The present article proposes a new droplet collision model including the stretching separation regime and the formation of satellite droplets. The new model consists of several equations to calculate the post-collision characteristics of colliding droplets and satellite droplets. These equations are derived from the energy balance of droplets between before and after collision. For binary collision of water droplets, the new model shows good agreement with experimental data far the number of satellite droplets.

  • A mechanism for collision detection in general animation system is necessary to prevent the interpenetration among multiple objects. On the other hand, a dynamic simulation system which is a part of animation system simulates realistic motions using dynamics after the collision, which is called collision response. In this paper, a method for reducing the CPU time for collision detection by removing redundant calculations and object sorting is proposed. A dynamic simulation system including collision detection and response function was implemented to demonstrate the proposed methods, where the input data as elasticity, friction, gravity, object shape, external force and external torque are given by the user. The system simulates motions of multiple objects using dynamics, and generates the wireframe display.

A robust collision prediction and detection method based on neural network for autonomous delivery robots

  • For safe last-mile autonomous robot delivery services in complex environments, rapid and accurate collision prediction and detection is vital. This study proposes a suitable neural network model that relies on multiple navigation sensors. A light detection and ranging technique is used to measure the relative distances to potential collision obstacles along the robot's path of motion, and an accelerometer is used to detect impacts. The proposed method tightly couples relative distance and acceleration time-series data in a complementary fashion to minimize errors. A long short-term memory, fully connected layer, and SoftMax function are integrated to train and classify the rapidly changing collision countermeasure state during robot motion. Simulation results show that the proposed method effectively performs collision prediction and detection for various obstacles.

저속 후방 추돌에 따른 승객 거동 현상 해석용 모델 개발 (Development of a Model for the Analysis of Occupant Response subjects in Low-Speed Rear-End Collision)

  • Although a number of neck injuries are generated, the data which quantify the kinematic response of the human head and cervical spine in low-speed rear-end automobile collisions is very limited. On this problem, just few in vitro experimental research or some experimental research using dummy on neck injury by rear-end collision was conducted, thus systematic research is requested on full scale injury mechanism. An occupant model for the response of the occupant subject to rear-end collision using commercial dynamics package DADS was developed. Developed model shows more close agreement with the experimental data compared with the MADYMO simulation results for the cases of ${\delta}V=16$ kph in sled test. For the case of ${\delta}V=8$ kph and 33.5 kph with production seat, model also shows its reliable response compared with experimental results using Hybrid III and Hybird III with RID.

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 홈 시큐리티의 도어록 시스템으로 사용될 수 있는 13.56 MHz RFTD(Radio Frequency IDentification) 시스템 설계 및 구현에 관한 내용을 다룬다. RFID는 리더와 태그 및 호스트 컴퓨터로 구성되는 시스템으로서, 리더와 태그간의 유도성 결합이나 전자기적 결합방식에 의해, 태그의 정보를 주고받는 비접촉 시스템이다. RFID 리더의 송신부, 수신부를 PSPICE를 이용해 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 동작을 검증하였다. 아울러 에러 검출 모듈과 맨체스터 코딩 모듈은 VHDL 언어를 이용해 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 동작을 검증하였다. 데이터 처리부의 충돌방지(Anti-collision) 기능은 별도의 컨트롤러를 사용하여 소프트웨어적으로 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템의 성능시험을 위해 5개의 RF 태그 환경에서 실험한 결과 데이터의 충돌 없이 모든 태그의 데이터를 올바르게 인식하였다.

루프를 효과적으로 처리하는 PASC 프로세서 구조 (PASC Processor Architecture for Enhanced Loop Execution)

  • This paper proposes PASC(PArtitioned SCHeduler) processor architecture that equips with a number of functional unit and an individual scheduler paris. Every scheduler of the PASC processor can determine whether a unit instruction can be issued to the associated functional unit or it is to be waited until next cycle caused by a resource collision or data dependencies. In the PASC processor, only the functional unit with a resource collision or data dependencies waits by executing a NOP(No OPeration) instruction and the other functional units execute their own instructions. Therefore we can expect the code compaction effect on the PASC processor. Thus, the last instruction of a loop at certain iteration and the very first instruction of the loop at the next iteration can be scheduled simultaneously if the two instructions do not incur any resource collision or data dependencies. Therefore, we can expect that such two instructions without any resource collision and data dependencies are packed into the same very long instruction word and thus, the two instructions are executed concurrently at run time. As a result, we can shorten execution cycles of a loop comparing to the execution of the loop on a traditional VLIW or SVLIW processor architecture. Simulation result also promises faster execution of loops on a PASC processor architecture than those on a VLIW and SVLIW processor architecture.

Collision Risk Analysis in Busan Harbour

  • This thesis, concentrates on marine collision risks of the area divided by cells. Using a gas molecular collision calculation model, a collision risk model is proposed. Collision risk is estimated by relative angle, relative speed, and ship's density in the cell. For one week, Automatic Identification System (AIS) data was collected and analyzed on the Busan North Port area. The results indicate a high-risk area at the sea route connection point in Busan North Port. It also shows that twilight is the time of day when most collisions occur. This means that the area is high risk due to the number of collisions and other dangerous factors related to twilight. Although there is still need to consider other risks such as grounding risks, the results of this study are useful to for plotting a risk map for the port.

  • Collision Management Protocol (CMP)은 매체 접근 제어 (MAC) 방식이 랜덤 접근 (Random Access)인 HomePNA 3.0 비동기 MAC 모드 시스템으로 구성된 네트워크에서 데이터 프레임 전송 시에 발생하는 충돌을 해결하기 위한 프로토콜이다. 이 프로토콜의 특징은 기존 HomePNA 2.0 시스템의 Distributed fair Priority Queueing (DFPQ) 알고리즘이나 802.11 시스템의 Binary Exponential Backoff (BEB) 알고리즘과는 달리 충돌이 발생한 시스템들의 재 전송 순서를 랜덤 확률로서 결정하지 않고, 각 시스템별로 주어진 Collision Signaling Sequence (CSS) 간을 사용하여 순서를 결정한다. 즉, 재 전송 순서를 사전에 정의된 순서로 결정함으로서 평균적인 충돌 횟수를 최소화 할 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서는 유선 홈 네트워킹 기술인 HomePNA 3.0의 CMP에 대하여 포화(Saturation) 상태에서의 성능을 분석한다.
