  • This paper aims at showing firstly, that the parameterized Universal Grammar is also accessible in second language acquisition based on the data found in the English Agreement acquisition by Korean speakers and secondly, that the theoretical claim that the acquisition of Agreement is related to the Subject Drop phenomenon can be supported by the second language acquisition data. The functional category AGRP which is crucial here can be parameterized according to its features with Korean of - Agr and English of + Agr. Two groups of 40 each were tested and the result shows that the parameter resetting is possible in terms of the Agreement feature. In addition to Agreement test, three more tests for the distribution of Subject Drop, Subject Raising and NPI (Negative Polarity Items) were conducted in order to find the correlation among those grammatical phenomena. The result is that the acquisition of Agreement and the Subject Drop possibility are correlated but that they are not related to the obligatory Subject Raising process. Finally, NPI distribution test which is supposedly related to the Subject Raising turned out to carry little information since the average grades from both groups were very low.

  • A distributed high-speed data acquisition and monitoring system for the RF negative ion source at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is developed, which consists of data acquisition, data forwarding and data processing. Firstly, the data acquisition modules sample physical signals at high speed and upload the sampling data with corresponding absolute-time labels over UDP, which builds the time correlation among different signals. And a special data packet format is proposed for the data upload, which is convenient for packing or parsing a fixed-length packet, especially when the span of the time labels in a packet crosses an absolute second. The data forwarding modules then receive the UDP messages and distribute their data packets to the real-time display module and the data storage modules by PUB/SUB-pattern message queue of ZeroMQ. As for the data storage, a scheme combining the file server and MySQL database is adopted to increase the storage rate and facilitate the data query. The test results show that the loss rate of the data packets is within the range of 0-5% and the storage rate is higher than 20 Mbps, both acceptable for the HUST RF negative ion source.

  • A chirp-echo data acquisition and processing system was developed for use as a simplified, PC-based chirp echo-sounder with some data processing software modules. The design of the software and hardware system was implemented via a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). Digital signal processing algorithms for driving a single-channel chirp transmitter and dual-channel receivers with independent TVG (time varied gain) amplifier modules were incorporated into the FPGA for better real-time performance. The chirp-echo data acquisition and processing system consisted of a notebook PC, an FPGA board, and chirp sonar transmitter and receiver modules, which were constructed using three chirp transducers operating over a frequency range of 35-210 kHz. The functionality of this PC-based chirp echo-sounder was tested in various field experiments. The results of these experiments showed that the developed PC-based chirp echo-sounder could be used in the acquisition, processing and analysis of broadband acoustic echoes related to fish species identification.

  • Acquisition of 3D points is an essential process for modelling of physical 3D objects. Although Coordinate Measuring Machine(CMM) is most accurate for this purpose, it is very time consuming. To enhance the data aquisition speed for scuptured surfaces, active vision with reflecctometric method was used for our system. A fter the data acquisition, the system automatically generates cutting tool path for the 3-axis milling of the object. The fullyintegrated system from the data acquisition to the NC-code generation was implemented with IBN-PC/386 and necessary hardwears.

  • One of the challenges faced by Talent Acquisition teams today pertains to the acquisition of human resources by matching job descriptions and skillsets desired. It is more so in the case of competitive sectors like the Indian IT sector. There can be various channels for Talent Acquisition and accordingly, the cost and benefits might vary. However, the consequences of a mismatch have an impact on the quality of deliverables, high recruitment expenses and loss of revenue for the organization. With increased and diverse sources of data that are available to organizations today, there is ample opportunity to apply analytics for informed decision making in this field. This paper reveals useful insights that help streamline the Talent Acquisition process in the Indian IT Industry. The paper adopts a data-centric approach to examine the critical determinants for efficient and effective Talent Acquisition process in IT organizations. Selected supervised machine learning algorithms are applied for the analysis of the dataset. The study is likely to help organizations in reassessing their talent acquisition strategy with respect to key parameters like expected cost to company (CTC), candidate sourcing channels and optimal joining period.

  • This paper describes Data Acquisition & Analysis System(DAS) for analysis of the multi-function radar. There are various information - beam probing data, clutter map data, plot data, target tracking data, RT tracking data, radar signal processing data, interface data - this device saves. The most important thing of data analysis is that a researcher gets a view of the whole data. The DAS intergrates with all of the data and provides overall information on the time matters occur. This is very useful advantage for approaching the matter easily. System algorithms of multi-function radar are improved by using this advantage. As a result of, range blank region have fallen about 72% and it is able to keep track in jammer environment.

  • In previous paper, we introduced 3d acquisition system with CCD cameras, but it was not distinguished from other 3d acquisition system with PSD camera. In this paper, we introduce the 3d data acquisition system using by stereo method with two cameras, show the calibration method of two cameras, and present 3d acquisition methods. we tried to improve the accuracy of 3d data acquisition and implemented the proposed methods. According to the result, we found that the proposed algorithms can boost the accuracy highly against the previous works. The proposed methods are to remove distortion on input images and adjust z axis. We describes the performance in the result.

  • Purpose: This study is undertaken from the standpoint of student-centered learning and theoretical paradigms that have developed in the business world and display conceptual affinities: the transfer of knowledge and training. Research design, data and methodology: Utilizing questionnaire surveys and multivariate data analysis are two research methodologies (CFA, SEM). Around 201 undergraduate students who were studying in Vietnam provided the data. Results: The results show importance of the faculty role in students' knowledge acquisition. The findings show that Ability to form a good relationship positively influences the development of competence. Additionally, neither ability to develop a good relationship nor learning drive or knowledge acquisition are significantly correlated with one another. The growth of competencies is positively impacted by the suitability of teaching approaches. Knowledge acquisition is favorably impacted by learning motivation, and knowledge acquisition in turn is positively impacted by competence development. Conclusions: Research has shown the important role of lecturers in students' knowledge acquisition. From this result, some implications related to lecturers are also given to help improve students' ability to acquire knowledge. Building good relationships with students (ready to answer questions, positive relationships) and good expertise will help increase learning motivation, ability to acquire knowledge as well as improve development for students.

  • macOS presents challenges for memory data acquisition due to its proprietary system architecture, closed-source kernel, and security features such as System Integrity Protection (SIP), which are exclusive to Apple's product line. Consequently, conventional memory acquisition tools are often ineffective or require system rebooting. This paper analyzes the status and limitations of existing memory forensics research and tools related to macOS. We investigate methods for memory acquisition and analysis across various macOS versions. Our findings include the development of a practical memory acquisition and analysis process for digital forensic investigations utilizing OSXPmem and dd tools for memory acquisition without system rebooting, and Volatility 2, 3 for memory data analysis.
