당송(唐宋) 시기 도통(道統) 내용의 전환 - 당말(唐末)에서 북송(北宋)시기 도의 전승 내용에 관한 담론을 중심으로 - (The transformation of the content of Dao-tong during the Tang and Song Dynasties)

  • 본 논문은 당송 시기 도통 내용의 전환 과정에 관한 소고이다. 본 문은 당송 시기 도통 내용의 변천 과정을 다음의 세 단계로 나누어 살펴보고자 한다. 첫째, 한유는 인의(仁義)를 도통의 내용으로 삼았다. 둘째, 손복 등 북송 초 유학자들은 보다 광범위한 의미상의 유가적 도를 도통의 내용으로 규정했다. 셋째, 계숭 및 북송 도학가들은 집중(執中)이 도통의 내용이 되어야 한다고 주장했다. 북송 도학가에 의해 유학의 도통론은 심성론 중심의 철학 논의로 그 성격이 변모되었다.

Effect of MUC1 siRNA on Drug Resistance of Gastric Cancer Cells to Trastuzumab

  • Trastuzumab is the first molecular targeting drug to increase the overall survival rate in advanced gastric cancer. However, it has also been found that a high intrinsic or primary trastuzumab resistance exists in some proportion of gastric cancer patients. In order to explore the mechanism of resistance to trastuzumab, firstly we investigated the expression of MUC1 (membrane-type mucin 1) in gastric cancer cells and its relationship with drug-resistance. Then using gene-silencing, we transfected a siRNA of MUC1 into drug-resistant cells. The results showed the MKN45 gastric cell line to be resistant to trastuzumab, mRNA and protein expression of MUC1 being significantly upregulated. After transfection of MUC1 siRNA, protein expression of MUC1 in MKN45cells was significantly reduced. Compared with the junk transfection and blank control groups, the sensitivity to trastuzumab under MUC1 siRNA conditions was significantly increased. These results imply that HER2-positive gastric cancer cell MKN45 is resistant to trastuzumab and this resistance can be cancelled by silencing expression of the MUC1 gene.

Assessing the Impact of Advanced Technologies on Utilization Improvement of Substations

  • The smart substation is the heart of a transmission system, which is particularly emphasized as the most significant composition of smart grids in China. In order to assess the functionality performance of substation technologies, this paper presents methods used to identify the most promising solutions for smart substation design and to evaluate the technical levels of available technologies. The multi-index optimization model is presented to address the issue of smart substation planning. A mathematical model of the planning decision problem is established with multiple objectives consisting of economic, reliability, and green key indices, and many kinds of concerns including physical and environmentally friendly operations are formulated as a set of constraints. With respect to the assessment of the technical level regarding integration of advanced technologies into a substation, a modified grey whitenization weight function is adopted to structure a novel grey clustering method. The proposed grey clustering approach is used to overcome the difficulty of insufficient quantitative assessment capacity for traditional methods. The evaluation of technical effects provides the classification definition for the development phase and the maturity level of the smart substation. The effectiveness of the proposed approaches in planning decision-making and evaluation of construction efforts is demonstrated with case studies involving the actual smart substation projects of Wenchongkou substation in China Southern Power Grid (CSG) and Mengzi substation in State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC).

  • During Mid October of 2005 a mass mortality of the corals occurred surrounding Con Dao Islands (South Vietnam) where is the recognized as one of the most famous marine parks of Vietnam. Results from the field survey in October 2005 showed that the mass mortality of corals and benthos focused only on the North-West of the islands whereas there was almost no death recorded in the South - East parts. Based on field data it was assumed that an overlap between high water temperature ($>30^{\circ}C$) and low salinity (<25%o) during short term was the impact causing the situation. In this paper, we try to explain this phenomenon based on the hydrographical view together with analyzing ocean colour images. A coral bleaching warning system also is proposed for Condao site.

Clinical and Prognostic Significance of SOX11 in Breast Cancer

  • Recently, the transcription factor SOX11 has gained extensive attention as a diagnostic marker in a series of cancers. However, to date, the possible roles of SOX11 in breast cancer has not been investigated. In this study, immunohistochemical staining for SOX11 was performed for 116 cases of breast cancer. Nuclear SOX11 was observed in 42 (36.2%) and cytoplasmic SOX11 in 52 (44.8%) of breast cancer samples. Moreover, high expression of cytoplasmic and nuclear SOX11 was associated with clinicopathological factors, including earlier tumor grade, absence of lymph node metastasis and smaller tumor size. Kaplan-Meier survival curves demonstrated high nuclear SOX11 expression to be associated with more prolonged overall survival than those with low expression and it could be an independent predictor of survival for breast cancer patients. It is worthwhile to note that cytoplasmic SOX11 was not correlated with prognosis of breast cancer patients. These data suggest the possibility that nuclear SOX11 could be as a potential target for breast cancer therapy.

주자(朱子)의 중화설(中和說) 변천과정과 '경(敬)'공부론(工夫論) (Procedural Changes of Zhuzi(朱子)'s Theory of ZhongHe(中和) and the Theory of Jing(敬))

  • 본 논문은 주자(朱子)의 중화설(中和說)의 변천과정을 살펴보고 후대의 평가에 대해서 살펴본 것이다. 주자(朱子)는 중화구설(中和舊說)의 단계에서 도남학파(道南學派)로 내려오는 이동(李?)의 학설을 무시하고, 장식(張?)을 만나 호상학파(湖湘學派)의 '선찰식후함양(先察識後涵養)'을 따르게 된다. 그는 이동(李?)으로부터 수양법(修養法)을 배웠지만 장식(張?)과 만나 토론하면서 호상학파(湖湘學派)의 '선찰식후함양(先察識後涵養)'의 방법론(方法論)에 매료되게 된다. 이는 미발(未發)은 없고 모든 것이 발(發)한 이발(已發)의 때만을 인정하는 것이었다. 중화신설(中和新說)의 단계에서는 중화구설(中和舊說) 때의 잘못을 깨닫고 다시 미발(未發)의 때를 중시하게 된다. 심(心) 성(性) 정(情)의 관계도 심통성정(心統性情)이라는 것으로 적립하게 된다. 또한 호굉(胡宏)의 '선찰식후함양(先察識後涵養)'으로부터 벗어나 '경(敬)'의 수양법(修養法)을 내세운다. 이러한 수양(修養) 방법은 호상학파(湖湘學派)의 이발(已發)위주의 수양법(修養法)에서 도남학파(道南學派)의 미발(未發)위주의 수양법(修養法)으로 바뀐 것을 의미한다. 이렇듯 완벽해 보이는 주자(朱子)의 중화설(中和說)은 조선(朝鮮)에 들어와서 16세기 율곡(栗谷)과 우계(牛溪)의 논쟁을 통해, 17세기 우암(尤庵)과 우헌(寓軒)의 논쟁을 통해, 18세기 남당(南塘)과 외암(巍巖)의 호락논쟁(湖洛論爭)을 통해 다시 논의된다. 주자(朱子)의 중화설(中和說)은 미비점을 가지고 있었기 때문에 위와 같은 논쟁을 겪게 된 것이다. 이러한 논쟁은 주자(朱子)의 중화설(中和說)이 미비점을 안고 있기 때문에 벌어진 논쟁이다.
