Hazus-MH 방법을 이용한 대구시 교량의 시나리오 지진에 의한 피해 예측 (Scenario-Based Earthquake Damage Estimation of Bridge Structures in Daegu City Using Hazus-MH Methodology)

  • The paper presents the damage estimation of bridge structures in Daegu city based on the scenario-based earthquakes. Since the fragility curves for domestic bridge strucures are limited, the Hazus methodology is employed to derive the fragility curves and estimate the damage. A total of four earthuquake scenarios near Daegu city are assumed and structure damage is investigated for 81 bridge structures. The seismic fragility function and damage level of each bridge had adopted from the analytical method in HAZUS and then, the damage probability using seismic fragility function for each bridge was evaluated. It was concluded that the seismic damage to bridges was higher when the magnitude of the earthquake was large or nearer to the epicenter.

화재이력에 따른 터널구조물 시공재료의 화재손상 평가 (Assessment of Fire-induced Damage to Tunnel Structural Members at Different Fire Scenarios)

  • In this study, a series of fire tests was carried out to evaluate fire-induced damage to structural members in tunnels. From the tests, the loss amount of concrete materials by the RWS fire scenario was slightly bigger than by the RABT fire scenario. Especially under the RWS fire scenario where the maximum temperature is over 1,200, the loss of concrete materials was mainly induced by melting. Generally, the loss of materials in reinforced concrete was slightly smaller than that in unreinforced concrete. Depending upon an applied fire scenario, fire-induced damage to shotcrete was quite different. From the real-time investigation of a specimen surface by a digital camcorder, it was proved that the material loss under the RABT fire scenario was mainly induced by spalling. However, it was also revealed that although fire-induced damage in the initial heating stage under the RWS was so close to that under the RABT, the material loss under the RWS at the later stage after 50 minutes elapsed since fire initiation was induced not by spalling but by melting.

손상통제 함상훈련 시나리오의 효율적 생성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Efficient Generation of Damage Control Onboard Training Scenarios for Naval Ships)

  • Damage control is a very important preliminary and primary activity to improve the survivability of naval ships by preventing spread of damage, and various types of onboard damage control training are conducted regularly on naval ships. The scenarios for these trainings should be well organized to improve the training efficiency. However, at present, it takes much time and effort to generate the training scenarios and there is a problem that the procedures and contents of the scenarios vary widely depending on the persons who generate, without the established methods and standards. In this paper, an efficient generation method of damage control onboard training scenarios has been established, especially for flood and fire o n naval ships. Also a computer program has been developed based on the established method. The results showed that this method and computer program reduce the time and effort to generate these scenarios, and it is hoped that the method be used as a ROK Navy Standard.

화재에 의한 터널구조물 시공재료의 손상 평가 (Evaluation of Fire-induced Damage to Structural Members in Tunnels)

  • 본 연구에서는 화재시나리오에 따른 터널구조물의 시공재료별 단면손실과 폭렬현상을 파악하고자 터널구조물 시공재료별로 시험체를 제작한 후 모의 화재시험을 수행하였다. 시공재료별로 화재시험을 수행한 결과, 모든 시공재료에서 RABT 화재곡선보다 RWS 화재곡선에서 단면손실이 다소 크게 발생하였다. 특히, RWS 화재곡선에서 나타나는 $1,200^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온으로 인한 융해는 시공재료의 단면손실에 주요한 영향요인으로 작용하였다. 철근 보강 구조물은 무근 구조물에 비해 단면손실이 적은 것으로 나타났다. 숏크리트의 경우 화재 시나리오에 따른 단면손실의 차이가 가장 크게 발생하였다. 가열시험 도중에 가열면을 실시간 관찰한 결과, RABT에서의 재료 손상은 폭렬과 탈락에 의해 발생한 반면 RWS에서는 초기에는 RABT와 유사하나 가열개시후 약 50분 이후의 재료 손상은 폭렬과 탈락이 아닌 융해에 의한 것을 알 수 있었다.

Earthquake Damage Monitoring for Underground Structures Based Damage Detection Techniques

  • Urban railway systems are located under populated areas and are mostly constructed for underground structures which demand high standards of structural safety. However, the damage progression of underground structures is hard to evaluate and damaged underground structures may not effectively stand against successive earthquakes. This study attempts to examine initial damage-stage and to access structural damage condition of the ground structures using Earthquake Damage Monitoring (EDM) system. For actual underground structure, vulnerable damaged member of Ulchiro-3ga station is chosen by finite element analysis using applied artificial earthquake load, and then damage pattern and history of damaged members is obtained from measured acceleration data introduced unsupervised learning recognition. The result showed damage index obtained by damage scenario establishment using acceleration response of selected vulnerable members is useful. Initial damage state is detected for selected vulnerable member according to established damage scenario. Stiffness degrading ratio is increasing whereas the value of reliability interval is decreasing.

HAZUS틀을 사용한 서울시 강남구의 건축물 지진피해에 따른 직접적 경제손실 예측 (Earthquake Direct Economic Loss Estimation of Building Structures in Gangnam-Gu District in Seoul Using HAZUS Framework)

  • For earthquake loss estimation of building structures in Gangnam-Gu district in Seoul, three scenario earthquakes were selected by comparison of the response spectra of these scenario earthquakes with the design spectrum in Korean Building Code (KBC 2009), and then direct losses of the building structures in the Gangnam-Gu district under each scenario earthquake are estimated. The following conclusions are drawn from the results of damage and loss in the second scenario earthquake, which has a magnitude = 6.5 and epicentral distance =15 km: (1) The ratio of building stocks undergoing the extensive and complete damage level is 40.0% of the total. (2) The amount of direct economic losses appears approximately 19 trillion won, which is 1.2% of the national GDP of Korea. (3) About 25% of high-rise (over 10-story) RC building wall structures, were inflicted with the damage exceeding moderate level, when compared to 60% of low-rise building structures. (4) From the economical view point, the main loss, approximately 50%, was caused by the damage in the high-rise RC wall building structures.

KORA 프로그램을 활용한 벤젠 누출사고 피해영향범위에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Range of Damage Effects of Benzene Leakage Accidents using the KORA Program)

  • 본 연구에서는 위험물안전관리법상 제4류 위험물에 해당하는 벤젠을 대상 물질로 선정하여 항만시설의 하역 과정에서 화재 및 누출사고가 발생하는 경우 가상의 시나리오를 통해 "독성(Toxic)"과 "액면화재(Pool fire)"에 대한 피해 규모를 정량적으로 평가하고자 하였다. 평가방법은 국내 화학물질안전원에서 범용프로그램으로 지원하는 KORA 프로그램을 활용하였으며, 벤젠의 화재 및 누출사고에 대한 피해영향 범위를 예측한 결과 독성으로 인한 피해 범위의 경우 누출공의 크기가 감소함에 따라 "최악의 사고시나리오" 대비 사고 피해영향 범위가 최대 5.11%까지 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 누출시간에 대한 피해영향 범위의 경우 누출시간 5 min 대비 10 min에서 145.12% 증가하였으며 20 min에서는 212.29%로 증가하였다. 또한, 액면화재로 인한 피해의 경우 "최악의 사고시나리오"에서 복사열에 의한 피해영향 범위는 취급시설을 중심으로 반경 228.8 m로 나타났으며, "대안의 사고시나리오"의 경우 복사열에 의한 피해영향 범위는 누출공의 크기가 배관 단면적이 감소함에 따라 "최악의 사고시나리오" 대비 사고 피해영향 범위가 최대 8.26%까지 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

모듈형 HNS 사고 시나리오 개발 (Development of Modular HNS Accident Scenarios)

  • 현행 해양유출사고 시나리오는 예상가능한 최대 유출사고를 근거로 하여 시나리오가 작성되었다. 하지만, 최대유출사고 시나리오와 유사한 규모의 사고는 실제 거의 일어나지 않았는데, 이러한 시나리오를 바탕으로 한 훈련이나 대응장비배치 등은 대비 측면에서 본다면 낮은 비용효율을 가지는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 현행의 시나리오는 활용성과 현장도가 높은 시나리오 구현을 통한 실전에 가까운 형태로 구성될 필요가 있고, 활용 목적에 적합하도록 설계될 필요가 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 과거 사고사례를 바탕으로 한 시나리오 작성을 위해 기 개발된 HNS 사고 표준코드를 활용하여 현행 시나리오를 대체할 수 있는 대체 사고 시나리오(Alternative Accident Scenario)를 구성하고자 하였다. 시나리오는 HNS 사고 표준코드를 모듈화하여 최대 빈도 시나리오, 최대 피해 시나리오, 최대 취약성 시나리오 3가지로 구분하여 작성하였다. 이런 과정을 거쳐 제시된 각 시나리오별로 제시된 사고발생 상황은 실제 사고와 유사한 형태를 나타내므로 현장에서의 합목적적인 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

AEB의 V2V 안전성 평가 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the V2V Safety Evaluation Method of AEB)

  • There are trying to reduce damage from automobile accident in many countries. In many automobile companies, there have been active study on development of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) for commercialization, in order to reduce damage from automobile accident. ADAS is the system providing convenience and safeness for drivers. Generally, ADAS is composed of ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist System), and AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking). AEB of the ADAS, it is an autonomous emergency braking system and it senses potential collide and avoids or degrades it. Therefore AEB plays a significant role in reducing automobile accident rate. However, AEB safety evaluation method is not established not yet. For this reason, this study suggests safety evaluation scenarios with adding cut-in, sensor malfunctioning scenario that scenario domestic street conditions considered as well as original standard AEB scenario of Euro NCAP for establishment of safety evaluation method of AEB. And verifying validity of suggested scenario by comparing the calculated values of the theoretical formulas presented in the previous study with results of the actual vehicle test.

선수 충돌 상황별 손상거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Extents of Damage of a Bow Structure According to Collision Scenario)

  • The rescue methods for the marine casualties are limited due to the characteristics of operation environment of the vessel. Especially the most of marine accidents have been occurred at the bow structure of ship. Moreover the failure of bow structure may lead to catastrophic mishaps. In this paper, the extents of damage of a bow structure fracture subject to collision accident was investigated by using numerical method. The computer simulation approach by using Finite Element Method was employed to accomplish this goal. A finite element model, a 3D model of ship, has been utilized to evaluate damage of bow structure according to collision scenario. In conclusion, we have demonstrated that the plastic deformation occurred at the bow structure. Also it was shown that the collision angle clearly plays a role in determining amount of damage of ship structures.
