대전광역시 초·중·고등학교의 에너지 사용에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on the Energy Consumption of Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Daejeon Metropolitan City)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the energy consumption of Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Daejeon Metropolitan City. The main results are as follow: 1) Annual energy consumption per class was 12,825 (kWh/class) at elementary schools, 15,780 (kWh/class) at middle schools, and 29,447 (kWh/class) at high schools, 2) Generally the smaller the size of the school, the higher the energy consumption per class. However according to the HVAC system there was no consistent pattern of energy consumption per class. 3) According to Box and Whisker's Chart, distribution of energy consumption of elementary and middle schools' had small range. However, the range of high schools increased. 4) Energy consumption in winter season was larger than that of summer season in schools.

A Study on Cremated Bodies Types at Public Cremation Facilities of Metropolitan Cities that Using E-Haneul Funeral Information System

  • We studies show that ratio of corpse among cremated bodies in public cremation facilities in metropolitan cities using E-Haneul funeral information system is average 90.1%, which is high, in bigger metropolitan cities with over 2 million of population (Incheon, Busan, and Daegu), but is average 81.4%, which is relatively low, in smaller metropolitan cities with less than 2 million of population(Daejeon, Gwangju, and Ulsan). In addition, the cremated bodies ratio of opening remains is average 17.4% in smaller metropolitan cities with less than 2 million of population, but is average 8.9% in those with over 2 million of population, which is relatively low. Finally, the cremated bodies ratio of dead fetuses is average 1.2% in smaller metropolitan cities with less than 2 million of population, and average 1.0% in those with over 2 million of population, which is low. Based on the above result, we are the following suggestions to improve the effectiveness of funeral facility use by the increase of demand for public cremation facilities in metropolitan cities. First, Busan and Daegu, where the shortage of supply is expected due to the increase of demand for cremation of corpse, need to implement supply expansion policy of public cremation facilities to build or expand cremation furnaces. Second, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Ulsan, where the cremated bodies ratio of corpse is low, need to expand supply through expanded operation from existing 4~8 cremation numbers of public cremation facilities to 11 cremation numbers, which is the level of Seoul Metropolitan City. Third, there should be cremation furnaces exclusively for opening remains to prepare the increase of demand for opening remains in the years with leap month.

대전광역시 종합소매업의 공간구조 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Spatial Structure Changes of General Merchandise Retail in Daejeon Metropolitan City)

  • 본 연구에서는 유통시장 개방 시기를 전후하여 일어난 소매환경 변화에 따른 대전광역시(이하, 대전시)의 소매업 변화와 그 결과 달라진 종합소매점들의 공간구조를 고찰하였다. 유통시장 완전개방이후 본격화된 국내 대형할인점 성장으로 소매업 구조와 소매공간구조가 달라졌으며, 1996년과 2001년을 비교해 본 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대형할인점의 성장에 따라 소매업 내 종합소매점의 비중이 증가하였다. 둘째, 종합소매업 각 업태들은 차별적인 성장 패턴을 보이고 있다. 셋째, 종합소매업의 업체수는 뚜렷한 집중지역은 나타나지 않지만 대부분 지역에서 감소하였고. 매출액은 원도심에서 신도심으로 그 중심이 바뀌었을 뿐 아니라 그 규모도 증가하였다. 차후소매공간구조 연구에서는 지역성에 따른 상품구색과 같은 보다 다양한 변수를 고려해야 할 것이다.

COVID-19가 대전지역의 도시열섬강도에 미치는 영향 (Impact of COVID-19 Lockdown on Urban Heat Island Intensity in the Daejeon Metropolitan City)

  • 본 연구에서는 2019년에서 2021년까지, 매년 2월에서 5월 동안 대전광역시 6개 지점(기준지역 1곳 포함)의 기온 데이터를 바탕으로 COVID-19로 인한 인간 활동의 감소가 대전 지역의 도시열섬강도에 미친 영향에 대하여 분석하였다. 관측 지점에 따라 차이는 있으나 도시열섬강도는 COVID-19 전인 2019년에 비해 2020년과 2021년에 약 20% 이상 감소되었다. 인간 활동 감소는 야간의 도시열섬을 증가시키고 주간의 도시열섬을 감소시켰다. 그 결과 도시열섬강도의 일변동 폭은 지점에 관계없이 2019년에 비해 2020년 및 2021년 모두 약 20% 이상 증가하였다. 도시열섬강도 감소는 풍속과 같은 자연적 요인 및 사회적 거리두기 단계와는 큰 관련성이 없는 것으로 보인다. 반면에 COVID-19 이후 시행된 사회적 거리두기 및 확연히 감소된 대기오염물질과 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 NO2와 가장 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다.

공공도서관 관련 자치법규 분석 - 대전광역시를 중심으로 - (An Analysis of Local Laws and Regulations Related to the Public Library: Focusing on Daejeon Metropolitan City)

  • 본 연구는 대전지역을 중심으로 공공도서관 관련 자치법규에 대한 현황 및 내용을 분석하여 공공도서관 관련 자치법규의 제정과 개정 시에 기초자료로 활용되기 위한 목적을 가지고 있다. 이를 위해 첫째, 자치법규의 유형, 성격, 제정절차를 통해 자치법규의 이론적 배경에 대해 살펴보고 둘째 대전지역의 공공도서관을 광역자치단체, 기초자치단체, 교육청 소속으로 세 구분하여 공공도서관 관련 자치법규를 분석하였다. 연구결과 공공도서관 행정체계, 도서관장의 직종과 직급, 공공도서관 조직체계 영역에서 문제점과 개선방안을 제시하였다.

  • The purpose of this study were to investigate the influence of residents awareness analysis for climate change policy. Nine items of residents' perceptions and opinions were designed from previous forest sector of Daejeon Metropolitan City. 241 questionnaires were obtained from interview survey in Hanbat arboretum in Daejeon. Forest sector were significant differences with socioeconomic variables of local residents. Providing detailed information on climate change and its impact on the local environment brings about greater awareness and better understanding of global warming amongst citizens which would eventually drive the people to give support to policy initiatives.

대전지역 일부 초등학생들의 비만수준과 관련된 요인 - BMI 지수를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Obesity Rate of Elementary School Students in Daejeon City Using BMI Index)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between the obesity rate in elementary school students in Daejeon and the relevant factors such as social-demographical factors, genetic factors, birth factors, diet factors and intelligence factors. Methods: For the research, 443 fourth grade students, 405 fifth grade students and 417 sixth grade students from six elementary schools in Daejeon Metropolitan City Participated in this study and classified into three groups: normal-weight group, mild obesity group, and moderate or severe obesity group. Results: The total obesity rate of the elementary school students in the school district of Daejeon Metropolitan City was 14.2%; the rate of mild obesity was 7.2%; the rate of moderate obesity was 5.5%; and the rate of severe obesity was 1.5%. The obesity rate of surveyed boys was 16.9%, and the obesity rate of girls was 11.1%. The significant factors for girls' obesity were fathers' EMI, mothers' EMI, living standards, constant demand of foods, preference for greasy foods, frequency of eating snacks, and daily walking hours. It was found that students' subjective mind and objective health index were related to obesity. In the case of obese students, they had more concern about their health and more stress from the dissatisfaction of their physical appearance than normal students. Conclusions: From the above evidences, it is apparent that the obesity of elementary school students has strong relations with eating habits rather than physical activities. It is to be hoped that obesity prevention programs such as effective meal guidance. parental guidance for watching TV, and intense physical activities will be included in the curriculums of health education for elementary school students.
