In this paper, we constructed the advanced cargo monitoring system for liquid cargo tankers which embedded the Decision Support System (DSS) based on the International Ship Management Code (ISM Code). To make this system, we first organized a base of expert's knowledge concerning liquid tanker operations that largely affect ocean accidents. We can find out the knowledge via inference method which simply imitates the fuzzy inference method. Based on this expert's knowledge, we constructed the DSS that provides a code of conduct for operating cargo tanks safely. The proposed monitoring system could eliminate human error when confronting dangerous situations, so the system will help sailors to operate cargo tanks safely.

이 글은 지식의 범주를 계량, 비계량의 관점에서 일반 정보 시스템(도서관)과 경영정보시스템(MIS, DSS, EIS)으로 분리되어 연구되어 오던 종래의 연구 관행과 관리 방안에 대하여 재고해 보는데 그 목적을 둔다. 1950년대 이후 각기 별개의 목적으로 발전되어 온 정보 시스템들은 기업의 경영환경이 내ㆍ외부가 통합되고, 정보통신이 급격히 발달되며 정보의 생성과 전파 속도가 급속히 빨라지고 있는 상황에서 빠른 의사결정을 위해서는 동일한 지식의 범주에서 다루는 것이 보다 바람직할 것이다. 즉, DSS나 EIS에서도 모델 추론을 위하여 계량 정보원뿐만 아니라 전통적으로 도서관 또는 정보센터에서 주로 관리해 오고 있는 텍스트 도큐먼트, 비디오, 오디오 등으로부터도 계량정보에서 추출될 수 없는 지식원으로서 활용해야 한다. 또한 DSS나 EIS는 지식경영을 달성하는 훌륭한 인프라를 제공하며, 도서관 또는 정보센터의 관리 대상 지식은 이미 형식지 또는 암묵지로 구분되어 있지 않은 포괄적 범위의 지식으로서 지식경영의 촉진제 또는 주체기관의 역할을 할 수 있다.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease is caused by an acute or chronic dysfunction of the mucosal inflammatory system in the intestinal tract. In line with the results of our previous study, wherein we found that the PKCα-LSD1-NF-κB signaling plays a critical role in the prolonged activation of the inflammatory response, we aimed to investigate the effect of signaling on colitis in the present study. Lsd1 S112A knock-in (Lsd1^SA/SA) mice, harboring a deficiency in phosphorylation by PKCα, exhibited less severe colitis symptoms and a relatively intact colonic epithelial lining in dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis models. Additionally, a reduction in pro-inflammatory gene expression and immune cell recruitment into damaged colon tissues in Lsd1^SA/SA mice was observed upon DSS administration. Furthermore, LSD1 inhibition alleviated colitis symptoms and reduced colonic inflammatory responses. Both LSD1 phosphorylation and its activity jointly play a role in the progression of DSS-induced colitis. Therefore, the inhibition of LSD1 activity could potentially protect against the colonic inflammatory response.

The purpose of this study is to develop a dynamic DSS (Decision Support System) interfaced with GIS (Geographic Information System) and agriculture information network, In this study, DSS was developed to assist services which required tremendous and real time data in national scale. The data transmitte'd from the local area by the agriculture network were stored in DBMS (Data Base Management System) and analyzed by GIS. GIS and database tools used in this study were ARC/INFO 7.1.1 and INFORMIX 4.0. ACSAS (Agriculture Calamity Service Asist System) by the system prototype was constructed to solve the problem about the drought counterplan service which was to take the responsibility in the Ministry of Agriculture. It was easy to transfer, process, and analyze the information using the system. Specially, the meteological, the reservoir storage rate and the drought counterplan information were spatially analyzed by the functions of GIS.

Case- based reasoning(CBR) offers a new approach for developing knowledge based systems. Unlike the rule-based paradigm, in which domain knowledge is encoded in the form of production rules, in the case-based approach the problem solving experience of the domain expert is encoded in the form of cases stored in a casebase(CB). CBR allows a reasoner (1) to propose solutions in domains that are not completely understood by the reasoner, (2) to evaluate solutions when no algorithmic method is available for evaluation, and (3) to interprete open-ended and ill-defined concepts. CBR also helps reasoner (4) take actions to avoid repeating past mistakes, and (5) focus its reasoning on important parts of a problem. Owing to the above advantages, CBR has successfully been applied to many kinds of problems such as design, planning, diagnosis and instruction. In this paper, I propose case-based DSS(CBDSS). CBDSS is an intelligent DSS using CBR technique. CBDSS consists of interface, case-based reasoner, maintainer, casebase management system, domain dependent CB, domain independent CB, and so on.

This paper is to evaluate the application potentials of data mining in the areas of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and to suggest the architectures of Decision Support Systems (DSS) that support data mining activities. We first briefly introduce data mining and review the recent literatures on SCM and then evaluate data mining applications to SCM in three aspects: marketing, operations management and information systems. By analyzing the cases about pricing models in distribution channels, demand forecasting and quality control, it is shown that artificial intelligence techniques such as artificial neural networks, case-based reasoning and expert systems, combined with traditional analysis models, effectively mine the useful knowledge from the large volume of SCM data. Agent-based information system is addressed as an important architecture that enables the pursuit of global optimization of SCM through communication and information sharing among supply chain constituents without loss of their characteristics and independence. We expect that the suggested architectures of intelligent DSS provide the basis in developing information systems for SCM to improve the quality of organizational decisions.

전자화폐 시스템은 인출(withdrawal), 지불(payment) 그리고 예치(deposit)의 기본적인 과정을 수행하는데, 이러한 단계에서 사용자의 사생활(privacy)을 보호하기 위해 사용자와 사용자의 구입 내용 및 지불 내용을 연계시키지 않고 인출 단계와 지불 단계가 연결되지 않도록 기본적으로 익명성을 제공하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 완전한 익명성을 제공하므로 인해 돈 세탁, 약탈, 불법 거래와 같은 불법적인 범죄 행위들에 이용 될 수 있으며 이 때 이와 같은 범죄행위를 한 사용자와 그 돈에 대한 행방을 찾을 수가 없다. 따라서 이를 방지하기 위해 일정한 조건 아래에서 익명성을 제어하기 위한 연구들이 많이 진행되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 DSS에 기반한 새로운 공정한 은닉 서명 방식을 제안하고 이를 전자화폐 시스템에 적용시킨다.

경영 교육의 도구로서 경영 모의 게임(Business Simulation Game)이 널리 활용되고 있다. 최근에는 BSG의 교육 효과를 높이기 위해서 BSG를 위한 의사결정지원시스템(Decision Support System)을 개발되고있다. 반면에 국내에서는 BSG와 같은 경영 교육 도구가 부족할 뿐만 아니라 DSS 기능을 가진 BSG는 전무한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 경영 전략, 마케팅, 생산, 재무 영역을 포함한 한 BSG의 교육 효과를 높이기 위한 DSS prototype을 개발하였다.

This paper aims to describe how the decision making capability and context-aware computing are jointly used to establish ubiquitous applications. An amended DSS paradigm: CKDDM is proposed in this paper. Under the CKDDM paradigm, a framework of ubiquitous decision support systems (ubiDSS) is addressed with the description of the subsystems within.

Over the last decades, interest in the application of decision support systems(DSS) in organizations has increased rapidly. Desipte the growing number of investigations examining decision support system, relatively few empirical studies have evaluated the effects of DSS on problem-solving processes. This study examined, using a computer simulation technique, the effect of recursion in problem-solving processes about the problem-solving time. Results indicate that the recursion at the early stage of problem-solving processes scarcely influenced the problem-solving time, which is contrasted with the case of the recursion at the final stage.
