Implementation of a Speaker-independent Speech Recognizer Using the TMS320F28335 DSP (TMS320F28335 DSP를 이용한 화자독립 음성인식기 구현)

  • In this paper, we implemented a speaker-independent speech recognizer using the TMS320F28335 DSP which is optimized for control applications. For this implementation, we used a small-sized commercial DSP module and developed a peripheral board including a codec, signal conditioning circuits and I/O interfaces. The speech signal digitized by the TLV320AIC23 codec is analyzed based on MFCC feature extraction methed and recognized using the continuous-density HMM. Thanks to the internal SRAM and flash memory on the TMS320F28335 DSP, we did not need any external memory devices. The internal flash memory contains ADPCM data for voice response as well as HMM data. Since the TMS320F28335 DSP is optimized for control applications, the recognizer may play a good role in the voice-activated control areas in aspect that it can integrate speech recognition capability and inherent control functions into the single DSP.

  • In this paper, we introduce a method of determining the absolute position of the rotor for the vector control of Hall sensor type multi-pole BLDC motor using the DSP(TMS320F28335), and implement an algorithm to complement the problems of the conventional method. The switching method of the inverter for providing desired sinusoidal current to each phase of a motor, we adopt Space-Vector pulse width modulation method. In order to increase the speed range, Field-Weakness control method are used. In order to verify the proposed algorithm, we compare the value of Iqe, Ide and phase currents with the values before compensated.

  • 풍력 발전 시스템을 설치하기 위해서는 사전에 타당성 조사가 반듯이 이루어져야 한다. 풍력자원 분석은 발전기 종별 발전량을 예측하여 효율적인 발전기(안전등급포함)를 선택할 수 있으며, 향후 발전기를 설치할 경우 선정지점의 지지 기반 및 기초공법에 관한 기초자료로 활용이 가능하다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 12비트 분해 능력을 가지고 있는 DSP-f28335 마이크로 콘트롤러를 사용하여 IEC61400-1 국제기준에 준수하여 풍향, 풍속, 온도를 측정하고 저장이 가능한 풍력자원 분석장치를 개발하였다.

  • A microgrid as a small scale power system is operated by the grid-connected mode and islanded mode. It is anticipated that the battery energy storage system (BESS) is able to be applied to the microgrid for stable power control, such as tie-line and smoothing control in the grid-connected mode and voltage and frequency control in the islanded mode. In this paper, a digital signal processor (DSP), Two BESS controllers based on TMS320F28335 of a microgrid are implemented and are tested to show control performance in the hardware-in-the loop simulation (HILS) system.

  • 최근 차량 충돌 방지를 위한 다양한 기술이 상용화되고 있다. FMCW 기반의 레이더 시스템은 구현의 용이성으로 많은 상용차에서 전면 충돌 방지 시스템에 적용되고 있다. 측면 충돌 방지를 위한 BSD(Blind Spot Detection)와 차선변경 보조 시스템(LCA, Lane Change Assistant system)에서는 전방 레이더보다 인식거리가 줄어들고 갱신율이 낮아지므로 고속 FFT 등을 수행하는 신호처리부를 저가격으로 설계가 가능할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 TI사의 MCU인 F28335를 사용하여 근거리를 인식하는 신호처리부를 설계하였다. 이 MCU는 16채널 12bit ADC와 68KB RAM 및 512KB 플래시 메모리를 내장하고, 150MHz 부동소수점 연산을 지원하여 단일 칩으로 신호처리부의 구현이 가능하다. 구현된 시스템은 20m내외의 거리에 있는 장애물에 대하여 10Hz로 갱신이 가능하여 BSD를 위한 기본 기능이 확인되었다. 이러한 구현은 이전의 고가의 DSP나 FPGA를 사용하지 않고 15$이내의 단일 MCU와 간단한 아날로그 회로로 설계되어 저가격의 시스템으로 상용화가 가능할 것이다.

  • This paper proposes the design method of low-cost vector control system for induction motor using the ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller. This MCU can be used instead of expensive DSP to control the home appliances such as refrigerator, air conditioner, washing machine and so on. This paper explains the major features of Cortex-M4 for motor control and how to realize a vector-controlled inverter using it. The developed system is applied to 3-phase induction motor of 200[W] and experimental results show good performance similar to the system using TMS320F28335 DSP.

  • This paper deals with a fault diagnosis algorithm for open faults in the switching devices of PWM inverter-fed IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive. The proposed diagnostic algorithm is realized in the controller using the informations of three-phase currents or reference line-to-line voltages, without requiring additional equipments for fault detection. Under switch open fault conditions, the conventional dq model used to control an AC motor cannot directly be applied for the analysis of drive system, since three-phase balanced condition does not hold. To overcome this limitation, a fault model based on the line-to-line voltages is employed for the simulation studies. For comparative performance evaluation through the experiments, the entire control system is implemented using digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335. Simulations and experimental results are presented to verify the validity of the proposed diagnosis algorithm.

  • To analyze influences under faults caused by a stator winding short and to evaluate an effectiveness of a diagnostic algorithm a faulty model for an inverter-driven permanent magnet synchronous motor is presented. Even though the conventional dq motor model obtained through the transformation of phase voltage model is widely used to analyze and control the motor, it can not be used in the analysis of a faulty motor since the 3-phase balanced condition is no longer hold under the fault caused by a stator winding short, and thus, it is very difficult to obtain motor input voltages from the pole voltage of an inverter. To overcome this problem, a faulty model for an inverter-driven permanent magnet synchronous motor is proposed by considering the line voltage of 3-phase variables. The effectiveness of the proposed faulty model is verified through comparative simulations and experiments using DSP TMS320F28335 and motor built to allow a partial short of inter-turn.

A Fault Detecting Scheme for Short-Circuited Turn in a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor through a Current Harmonic Monitoring (전류 고조파 관찰을 통한 영구자석 동기전동기의 권선 단락 고장 진단 기법)

  • To diagnose a stator winding fault caused by a short-circuited turn in a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), an on-line based fault detecting scheme during motor operation is presented. The proposed scheme is based on monitoring the second-order harmonic components in q-axis current obtained through the harmonic analysis and a winding fault is detected by comparing these components with those in normal conditions. The linear interpolation method is employed to determine harmonic data in arbitrary normal operating conditions. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed fault detecting scheme, a test motor to allow inter-turn short in the stator winding has been built. The entire control system including harmonic analysis algorithm and fault detecting algorithm is implemented using DSP TMS320F28335. The proposed scheme does not require any additional hardware and can effectively detect a fault during motor operation so long as the steady-state condition is satisfied.
