유방촬영의 실태와 유방촬영실의 공간산란선량에 관한 조사 연구 (Research on the Actual Condition of Mammograpgy and Space Scattered Dose in Mammography Room)

  • 유방촬영에 사용되고 있는 장치의 특징과 유방촬영조건에 대하여 서울과 경기 일원에 있는 병 의원 64곳에 대한 설문조사와 유방촬영실의 조건에 따른 공간산란선량 및 방사선사나 환자의 피폭선량에 대한 실험을 통해, 환자 촬영건수와 방사선 작업종사자의 피폭선량에 대하여 비교한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 선행 연구(이인자 등: 2000)와 비교하여 유방촬영용 장치의 성능에 비해 현재 시용되고 있는 장치의 성능이 향상되었으며, Screen/Film System 63%에 비해 DR system 28%로 DR system이 증가되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 2. 환자의 촬영건수가 선행 연구(이인자 등: 2000)와 비교하여 급격히 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 3. 유방촬영실의 공간산란선량이 이동형 촬영 장치에 비해 2.0배 이상 큼을 알 수 있었다. 4. 유방촬영용장치의 촬영 mode에 따라서 환자가 받는 피폭선량이 4.7배까지 차이가 생겼다. 4. 유방촬영실의 높은 공간산란선량이 환자 및 방사선 작업종사자의 피폭선량에 영향을 미치므로 주의를 기울여야 할 것으로 사료된다. 5. 유방촬영 검사 건수의 증가와 촬영실 공간이 일반 X선 촬영실에 비하여 좁은 경우에 방사선사의 피폭선량이 증가되므로 대책이 필요하다.

Computer-aided tester for non-destructive determination of material properties

  • This article presents a newly developed equipment system for computer-aided, magneto-inductive testing of metals for material properties. The advantages of ultramodern computer technology over conventional test mothods are illustrated, in particular the greatly simplified equipment adjustment and the extended possibilities of test data evaluation. The characterisitics of the new system of equipment are demonstrated by way of practical testing examples.

  • 최근 몇 년간, 전력 소비의 급격한 증가로 인하여 전력 수급의 불안이 전 세계적으로 발생하였다. 또한 전력 예측의 불확실성 및 전력 발전량이 급격히 증가하게 되었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 전력망과 IT 기술을 결합한 스마트 그리드기술은 각광을 받고 있다. 스마트 그리드는 전력 최대 부하율을 낮추며 효율적인 전력 사용을 유도한다. 이를 위하여 스마트 그리드 시스템은 다양한 요금 정책, 수요반응 기술, 스마트 전자 기기들을 활용한다. 특히 전력 사용을 효율적으로 스케줄링 해주는 수요반응 기술은 스마트 그리드의 핵심 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 수요 반응 기술을 위한 그리디 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 그리디 기법은 전력 요금의 최소화뿐만 아니라, 사용자의 편의성을 고려하며 시스템 정전을 방지하는 것을 목표로 한다.

Intrusion Detection System Modeling Based on Learning from Network Traffic Data

  • This research uses artificial intelligence methods for computer network intrusion detection system modeling. Primary classification is done using self-organized maps (SOM) in two levels, while the secondary classification of ambiguous data is done using Sugeno type Fuzzy Inference System (FIS). FIS is created by using Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The main challenge for this system was to successfully detect attacks that are either unknown or that are represented by very small percentage of samples in training dataset. Improved algorithm for SOMs in second layer and for the FIS creation is developed for this purpose. Number of clusters in the second SOM layer is optimized by using our improved algorithm to minimize amount of ambiguous data forwarded to FIS. FIS is created using ANFIS that was built on ambiguous training dataset clustered by another SOM (which size is determined dynamically). Proposed hybrid model is created and tested using NSL KDD dataset. For our research, NSL KDD is especially interesting in terms of class distribution (overlapping). Objectives of this research were: to successfully detect intrusions represented in data with small percentage of the total traffic during early detection stages, to successfully deal with overlapping data (separate ambiguous data), to maximize detection rate (DR) and minimize false alarm rate (FAR). Proposed hybrid model with test data achieved acceptable DR value 0.8883 and FAR value 0.2415. The objectives were successfully achieved as it is presented (compared with the similar researches on NSL KDD dataset). Proposed model can be used not only in further research related to this domain, but also in other research areas.

시계열 자료를 이용한 제주도 지하수위의 지역별 특성 분석 (Evaluation of Regional Characteristics Using Time-series Data of Groundwater Level in Jeju Island)

  • Fluctuation patterns of groundwater level as a factor that reflects the characteristics of groundwater system can be categorized as the various types of aquifer with the time-series data. Time-series data on groundwater level obtained from 115 monitoring wells in Jeju Island were classified according to variation types, which were largely affected by rainfall(Dr), rainfall and pumping(Drp), and unknown cause(De). Analysis results indicate that 106 wells belong to Dr and Drp and the ratio of the wells with the wide range of fluctuation in the western and northern regions was higher than that in the eastern and southern regions. From the results that Drp is relatively higher than Dr in the western region which has the largest agricultural areas, groundwater level fluctuations may be affected significantly due to the intensive agricultural use. Non-parametric trend analysis results for 115 monitoring wells show that the increasing and decreasing trends as the ratio of groundwater levels were 14.8% and 22.6%, respectively, and groundwater levels revealed to be increased in the western, southern and northern regions excluding eastern region. Results of correlation analysis that cross-correlation coefficients and the time lags in the eastern and western regions are relatively high and short, respectively, indicate that the rainfall recharge effect in these regions is relatively larger due to the gentle slope of topography compared to that in the southern and northern regions.

수요 측 전력설비의 실시간 양방향 통신에 관한 연구 (A Study on realtime and two-way Communication of customer's electric load facility for DR system)

  • 전력산업의 환경변화에 따라 단일 공급자였던 한전을 비롯하여 전력판매사업자, 민간부하사업자, 에너지컨설팅사업자 등 에너지관련 서비스를 제공하는 주체자(이하 ESP : Energy Service Provider)의 참여로 전력시장이 경쟁체제로의 변화가 예상된다. 이러한 주체는 전력에너지 관리 최적화를 위한 수요측의 전력자원과 정보의 통합관리가 필요하다. 또한 수요측 서비스 개선과 동시에 수익을 창출할 수 있는 부가 서비스의 개발이 또한 요구될 것이다. 최근 석유가격의 지속적인 상승으로 도매시장가격은 더욱 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 현재 우리나라는 CBP 형태의 전력시장에서 시간대별로 변하는 전력가격(SMP)에 의하여 시장가격이 정해진다. 따라서 시장가격이 높아지면 높아질수록 전력을 구입하고 있는 전력사업자의 경우 구입비의 증가로 재무 건전성 확보에 악영향을 초래한다. 따라서 효율적인 전력 수요절감을 통해 구입전력비를 절감할 수 있는 신수요관리 기법이 필요하다. 이러한 신수요관리 기법은 국가적으로는 하계수급비상 해소와 신규 건설비용 및 혼잡비용을 회피하고, 전력사업자는 구입전력비의 절감을 통해 전력도매시장가격의 안정을 도모할 수 있다. 이러한 수요절감 기법 중 수요측의 자율적인 참여 및 반응을 기반으로 하는 수요반응(Demand Response, 이하 DR)이 있으며, 이는 전력사업자와 수요 측 전력부하설비와의 양방향 통신 및 제어 인프라 구축이 필요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 DR운영에서 반드시 필요한 수요측 전력부하설비와의 양방향 통신 및 제어 인프라구축에 대한 방법 및 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

Effect of tuberculosis treatment on leptin levels, weight gain, and percentage body fat in Indonesian children

  • Purpose: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a problem in the community. TB patients usually experience malnutrition, which is characterized by both decreased body weight (BW) and body fat percentage (BFP). Leptin, an important regulator of BW, also plays an important role in cellular immunity, which is integral to defense against Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. We analyzed the effect of an anti-TB treatment regimen on the leptin level, BW, and BFP of children with TB. Methods: The design of this study was a group interrupted time series. The subjects were children with probable TB according to clinical criteria based on an Indonesian scoring system adopted from the Consensus of Expert Panel. BW; BFP; energy intake; fat and protein intake; and leptin levels before, 2 months after (intensive phase), and 6 months after (continuation phase) anti-TB treatment, were measured. About 40 children, aged 5-14 years, participated in this study. Results: The BW, BFP and leptin level increased from before treatment to after completion of the intensive phase and still showed an increased during the continuation phase: BW 18.65 kg, 19.75 kg, and 20.85 kg; BFP 18.3%, 19.5%, and 20.2%; and leptin level 1.9 mg/dL, 3.07 mg/dL, and 3.4 mg/dL, respectively (P<0.01). Conclusion: Leptin level, BW, and BFP increased throughout the course of anti-TB treatment, compared with pretreatment values. Further research is needed to compare the results with data for healthy children.

A pioneer scheme in the detection and defense of DrDoS attack involving spoofed flooding packets

  • DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) has been a continuous threat to the cyber world with the growth in cyber technology. This technical evolution has given rise to a number of ultra-sophisticated ways for the attackers to perform their DDoS attack. In general, the attackers who generate the denial of service, use the vulnerabilities of the TCP. Some of the vulnerabilities like SYN (synchronization) flooding, and IP spoofing are used by the attacker to create these Distributed Reflected Denial of Service (DrDoS) attacks. An attacker, with the assistance of IP spoofing creates a number of attack packets, which reflects the flooded packets to an attacker's intended victim system, known as the primary target. The proposed scheme, Efficient Spoofed Flooding Defense (ESFD) provides two level checks which, consist of probing and non-repudiation, before allocating a service to the clients. The probing is used to determine the availability of the requested client. Non-repudiation is taken care of by the timestamp enabled in the packet, which is our major contribution. The real time experimental results showed the efficiency of our proposed ESFD scheme, by increasing the performance of the CPU up to 40%, the memory up to 52% and the network bandwidth up to 67%. This proves the fact that the proposed ESFD scheme is fast and efficient, negating the impact on the network, victim and primary target.

스마트 그리드를 위한 무선 기반의 수요 반응 기능을 가지는 조명 제어용 장치 개발 및 실험적 평가 (Development and Experimental Evaluation of the Wireless Illumination Controller with Demand Response for the Smart Grid)

  • Recently, a lot of research for the smart grid technology have been carried out to achieve energy efficiency for the electronic products. In order to practically apply this study, smart instruments which are capable of the AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) and DR (Demand Response) function are necessary. However, it is difficult to apply the function of the smart grid to the electronic product that cannot support the smart grid. Accordingly, the efficient use of electric energy is impossible. In order to solve this problem, the electronic product has to be changed into the exclusive electronic product supporting smart grid technology or the smart controller has to be attached the outside of the device. In this study, we developed the smart controller for connecting the electric appliances to the smart grid system. It can be attached to the illumination and the smart grid-based lamp control system at home. We additionally designed the message frame and the protocol to operate the smart controller with the AMI based EMS (Energy Management Server). We developed an experimental system to practically verify functions of the smart controller which is attached to the lighting device. From the system, we showed that the electric source of the illumination can be controlled according to the load change and saved energy effectively. We also confirmed the structural benefit and the energy-efficient effect through the verification of the smart controller.

MOSFET를 이용한 X선 신호의 전기적 획득에 관한 연구 (The study for electric readout of X-ray signal using MOSFET)

  • With xeroradiography appearance, DR (Digital Radiography) system have been studying for X-ray detection using photoreceptor. Also detection method for receptor charge change have been developing variably. We use photoreceptor material of a-Se(Amorphous Selenium) with high DQE, high SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) and high transformation efficiency of X-ray signals into electrical signals. After a-Se receptor is uniformly charged by using Arc discharge, X-ray is exposed. Then a-Se receptor produce subtle charge variation and MOSFET detect charge variations. The detected signal pass A/D converter and signal processing by PC. As results, the initial voltage is 8V. It has wide dynamic range needed digital radiography system. In this study, we obtained data with changing kVp(tube potential voltage) and fixed 8mAs(tube current by exposure time) in X-ray system. However MOSFET detector for X-ray signal is not tested X-ray mAs variations. But if MOSFET detector is tested X-ray mAs variation and exactly calibrated multichannel is made and noise-reduction is done, suitable DR system readout method will be done.
