Zoltan Dienes의 수학학습 6단계 이론의 재음미 (Review of Six Stages Theory of Learning Mathematics Suggested by Zoltan Dienes)

  • 이 논문에서는 Zoltan Dienes의 수학학습을 위한 6단계 이론을 재조명해보고자 하였다. 국내에서는 Dienes가 1971년에 처음 발표한 내용이 대략적으로 알려져 있을 뿐, 구체적인 보기가 소개되지 않았다. 이 연구는 Dienes가 제시한 정수 학습의 보기를 통해 6단계 이론이 함의하는 바를 보다 구체적으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 6단계 이론의 본질은 수학적 개념 형성을 위한 추상화 과정에 있으며, 그러한 과정에서 놀이나 게임은 수학적 구조의 원시적 형태라 할 수 있는 규칙성을 제공해주며, 전 단계에 걸쳐 학습자와 수학을 연결해 주는 중요한 매개 역할을 하도록 기대된다는 점을 밝혔다. 그러나 정수의 보기를 들어 살펴본 게임에는 몇 가지 문제점이 제기되었으며, 이러한 문제점들이 극복되지 않는 한 6단계 이론이 현장에 보급될 가능성은 매우 낮은 것으로 결론 내렸다. 그럼에도 불구하고 6단계 이론이 오늘날의 교육에 시사하는 바를 마지막으로 덧붙였다.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE STRATIFIED COMBUSTION CHARACTERISTICS ACCORDING TO COMPRESSION RATIO AND INTAKE TEMPERATURE IN A DIG ENGINE

  • In the direct injected gasoline engine, atomized spray is desired to achieve efficient mixture formation needed to good engine performance because the injection process leaves little time for the evaporation of fuels. Therefore, substantial understanding of global spray structure and quantitative characteristics of spray are decisive technology to optimize combustion system of a GDI engine. The combustion and emission characteristics of gasoline-fueled stratified-charge compression ignition(SCCI) engine according to intake temperature and compression ratio was examined. The fuel was injected directly to the cylinder under the high temperature condition resulting from heating the intake port. With this injection strategy, the SCCI combustion region was expanded dramatically without any increase in NOx emissions, which were seen in the case of compression stroke injection. Injection timing during the intake temperature was found to be an important parameter that affects the SCCI region width. The mixture stratification and the fuel reformation can be utilized to reduce the required intake temperature for suitable SCCI combustion under each set of engine speed and compression ratio conditions.

생강 저장굴에서 발생한 건강 피해 (Health hazards occurred in the underground storing places of ginger roots)

  • Ginger has been cultivated for thousands of years. It is very popular in the food industry as an additive to ginger ale, candies, pastries and cakes. The root has a strong, sweet scent. It contains protein, fat, carbohydrates, ash, calcium, potassium, vitamin A. thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and ascorbic acid. In korea, farmers keep ginger roots into underground holes from the harvest time to the seedtime. They dig 6 meters under the ground and preserve the cultivated ginger roots. This study was conducted to evaluate the health hazards occurred in the underground storing places of ginger roots. Authors reviewed the accidents occurred in those places, therefore transported by the public emergency system in Seo-cheon city from Jan, 1 1996 to Dec, 31 1997. We could confirm 8 persons on transport records. Among them, 5 persons were due to poisoning, 3 persons were due to injuries. We would like to suggest that poisoning could be induced by hypoxia and injuries occurred from a fall into the underground hole. These should be prevented by the health education for farmers. And further investigations are needed to understand their magnitude and the pathogenic mechanisms.

A Method to Measure the Self-Supplied News Volumes of Internet Newspaper Company

  • The growth of internet infrastructure and a tremendous increment of internet users lead actively to found internet newspaper publishing companies, which are able to dig up and publish own news articles. In disregard of these quantitative growth of internet newspaper companies, the qualitative growth of them doesn't coincide with the quantitative growth. Therefore, to require social responsibility and to build healthy media environment, Korean government has put in force registration system of internet newspaper company. According to this system, internet newspaper companies have to produce at the inside over 30 percent of weekly publications, and this requisite increases the needs of its verification. This paper investigates technologies to measure the self-supplied news volumes of internet newspaper company, examines validity of them, and presents appropriate method to measure. To compare huge amount of news articles rapidly, the presented method is based on the modified edit-distance, which reflects human cognition of word and empirical information related with it. To prove correctness of our presented method, we show experimental results for some real internet news articles.

  • 대통령기록관은 다양한 형태로 기록정보서비스를 제공하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 DigiQUAL을 활용하여 대통령기록관의 웹 기록정보서비스를 평가했다. 평가 방법은 이용자 설문조사를 실시했으며, 평가 영역은 기록 및 정보검색, 기록물 활용 서비스, 확장 서비스로 나누었다. 본 연구는 설문을 분석하기 위해서 기술 통계와 신뢰도 검정을 실시했다. 그 결과, 전반적인 만족도가 낮았다. 이러한 설문 결과를 바탕으로 대통령기록관 웹 기록정보서비스 개선 방안을 제시했다.

Hot Topic Discovery across Social Networks Based on Improved LDA Model

  • With the rapid development of Internet and big data technology, various online social network platforms have been established, producing massive information every day. Hot topic discovery aims to dig out meaningful content that users commonly concern about from the massive information on the Internet. Most of the existing hot topic discovery methods focus on a single network data source, and can hardly grasp hot spots as a whole, nor meet the challenges of text sparsity and topic hotness evaluation in cross-network scenarios. This paper proposes a novel hot topic discovery method across social network based on an im-proved LDA model, which first integrates the text information from multiple social network platforms into a unified data set, then obtains the potential topic distribution in the text through the improved LDA model. Finally, it adopts a heat evaluation method based on the word frequency of topic label words to take the latent topic with the highest heat value as a hot topic. This paper obtains data from the online social networks and constructs a cross-network topic discovery data set. The experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method compared to baseline methods.

  • Edward Abbey is regarded as one of the most influential ecological or nature writers. He celebrates the American Southwestern desert, argues for wilderness preservation, and advocates politically-oriented environmental activism to defend wilderness. He, however, does not classify himself as a nature writer, but rather places himself in the tradition of a kind of autography. His books show his fascination with the delicate harmony of the desert, and at the same time his personal journey over the desert. That is, eco-centered, he keeps his journey into the heart of the desert. He finds the desert harsh, brutal, fatal, and most of all, indifferent. The desert reveals simplicity and mystery, silence and revelation, and emptiness and fulfillment. This mythical and paradoxical essence of the desert draws him into the place and inspires redemptive humility and beauty, which, in turn, peel off his old ego or self. During his journey, Abbey tries to immerge himself with the desert yet remains intact and individual. The desert serves for him as the bedrock which sustains him and offers an opportunity to gain a new whole perspective. Like a pocket hunter in the desert whom he characterizes himself, he sticks to the desert to dig out ground for his existence and survival. Pulling the energy and force of the desert into his soul, Abbey is free, or compelled to contemplate what is beyond the human. His experience in and of the desert leads to a discovery of self and initiates selfhood.

영상처리를 이용한 용선시편의 표면결함 검사방법 (Surface Defect Inspection Method of Iron Samples using Image Processing)

  • For producing iron or steel products with good quality, the concentration of the material components should be analyzed quickly with high relability using XRF(Fluorescent X-Ray Spectrometer). Since the analysis results are much dependent upon the surface con- dition, the samples have to be prepared to have good test condition. This study presents an image processing system for inspecting the surface condition of the iron test sample. In order to use thd computer vision system, we need to develop a lighting device and image processing algorithm. For the adequate lighting device of inspection system, the indirect lighting device is contrived to cut the external light and provide uniform, stable and cold light. The image processing algorithm is aimed to reduce inspection time and to get similar analyzing results to those of the experienced operators. At first, the image processing algorithm checks whether the surface of the iron sample is ground well or not. Then, the defects; hole or dig are conted and surface condition is evaluated. In addition, the algorithm gives the reliability of the analyzing results in order to help operator's decision.

  • Objective: The present study was undertaken to synthesize a human Y chromosome specific probe and to confirm the usefulness of the probe for fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) in various types of human cells. Methods: An approximately 400 bp DNA fragment of the DYZ1 sequences was synthesized by PCR using digoxigenin labeled dUTP (dig-PCR). The fidelity of probe was tested by FISH for cultured and uncultured human lymphocytes, amniocytes, chorionic villus cells, embryos, sperms, and germ cells of seminiferous tubule. Results: The human Y chromosome specific probe hybridized specifically to Y chromosome of the cells that had been tested. This probe assigned to the Yq12 region where the DYZ1 repetitive sequence is concentrated. Conclusion: We have identified a human Y chromosome specific probe that hybridized specifically to the Y chromosome by FISH for various types of uncultured as well as cultured cells. Therefore FISH technique using human Y chromosome specific probe should be useful for clinical application as a diagnostic tool for the detection of human Y chromosome.

  • 이 글은 인터넷 팬덤 문화 중 유튜브와 페이스북 그리고 트위터 등에서의 한류 팬덤 현상을 고찰한다. 이 글은 네트워크 고유의 원리인 연결과 재매개 그리고 확산과 가치전달 이라는 측면에서 바라보았다. 이는 한류가 앞으로 풀어나갈 도전과 과제를 바라볼 때 유용한 시야이다. 동시에, 뉴미디어인 SNS의 근본 원리와 확산의 파동을 이해하고 이에 최적화된 한류 팬덤을 분석할 필요가 제기된다. 글을 통해, 한류 팬덤의 연결 가치가 부여되는 과정을 추적하였다. 이를 통한 한류 문화의 확산과 전파 그리고 선순환의 원리를 살폈다. 이 글은 향후 한류 팬덤 연구에 있어서 보다 근본적인 원리를 연역적으로 파헤치고 한류와 팬덤을 이해하는데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다.
