Site-specific incorporation of unnatural amino acids into proteins in vivo can be achieved by co-expression of an orthogonal pair of suppressor tRNA and engineered aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase (ARS) that specifically ligates an unnatural amino acid to the suppressor tRNA. As a step to establish this technique, here we generated an Escherichia coli reporter strain DH10B(Tn:lacZam) by integrating amber mutated lacZ gene into the chromosome of E. coli DH10B strain. In vivo expression of E. coli amber suppressor $tRNA^{Gln}$ produced blue colonies in culture plates containing X-Gal as well as dramatically increased $\beta$-galactosidase activity. In addition, expression of an orthogonal pair of Saccharomyces cerevisiae suppressor $tRNA^{Tyr}$ and tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase also produced blue colonies as well as moderate increase of $\beta$-galactosidase activity. These data demonstrate that our reporter strain will provide an efficient method to assess amber suppression in both qualitative and quantitative manners.

The responses of two luminescence-based biosensors were studied on various heavy metals in aqueous solutions. One was recombinant E. coli ($DH5{\alpha}$/pSB311), genetically modified luminescence-based bacteria, and the other was Vibrio fisheri used for the LumisTox system. The recombinant E. coli was marked with the lux CDABE gene from multicopy plasmid, pACYC184, originally isolated from Photorhabdus luminescens. The $DH5{\alpha}$/pSB311 had a characteristic of no organic substrate for its luminescence reaction. Among the tested heavy metals Zinc and cadmium were less toxic than copper and mercury. The recombinant E. coli was more sensitive to toxicity of heavy metals than the LumisTox. The order of toxicity of the heavy metals to the recombinant E. coli was $Hg^{2+}>Cu^{2+}>Zn^{2+}>Cd^{2+}$. In case of the LumisTox, the order of the toxicity of heavy metals was $Hg^{2+}>Cu^{2+}>Cd^{2+}>Zn^{2+}$. The genetically modified luminescence-based biosensor offers a range of sensitive, rapid, and easy to use methods for assessing the potential toxicity of heavy metals in aqueous samples.

FESWMS-2DH developed by the U.S. Department of Transportation based on two-dimensional shallow water wave equation is used in this study to simulate the flow characteristecs of the river reach between Chamsil and Shingok submerged weirs, which acts as a tidal river under low flow conditions. The model uses Galerkin F.E.M and meshes are composed of triangular or quadrangular elements. The model shows accurate and stable results concerning mass conservation as well as velocity distribution and water surface elevation. The results obtained in the present study may provide useful informations on the planning of river pollution abatement measures and artificial structures.

We developed a mass production method that simultaneously controls the phase transformation and crystal size of $TiO_2$ coatings on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). Initially, MWCNTs were successfully coated with amorphous 15-20-nm-thick $TiO_2$ by an in-situ sol-gel method. As the calcination temperature increased in both air and argon atmospheres, the amorphous $TiO_2$ was gradually transformed into the fully anatase phase at approximately $600^{\circ}C$, a mixture of the anatase and rutile phases at approximately $700^{\circ}C$, and the fully rutile phase above approximately $800^{\circ}C$. The crystal size increased with increasing calcination temperature. Moreover, above $600^{\circ}C$, the size of crystals formed in air was approximately twice that of crystals formed in argon. The reason is thought to be that MWCNTs, which continuously supported the stresses associated with the reconstructive phase transformation, disappeared owing to complete oxidation in air at these high temperatures.

A district heating(DH) system supplies environmentally-friend heat and is appropriate for reduction of energy consumption and/or air pollutions. The objectives of this paper are to systematize data processing of transition temperature, investigate its effects on fatigue life of DH pipes and optimization for size of DH pipes. A relational database management system as well as reliable fatigue life evaluation procedures is established for Korean DH pipes. Also, since the prototypal evaluation results satisfied both cycle-based and stress-based fatigue criteria. Through the optimum design process, the cross section diminished 18.64% and the CUF diminished 23.35%. So, it can be used as useful information in the future for optimal design, operation and energy saving via setting of efficient condition and stabilization of water temperature.
This paper presents a novel feature detection algorithm called depth-hybrid speeded-up robust features (DH-SURF) augmented by depth information in the speeded-up robust features (SURF) algorithm. In the keypoint detection part of classical SURF, the standard deviation of the Gaussian kernel is varied for its scale-invariance property, resulting in increased computational complexity. We propose a keypoint detection method with less variation of the standard deviation by using depth data from a red-green-blue depth (RGB-D) sensor. Our approach maintains a scale-invariance property while reducing computation time. An RGB-D simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) system uses a feature extraction method and depth data concurrently; thus, the system is well-suited for showing the performance of the DH-SURF method. DH-SURF was implemented on a central processing unit (CPU) and a graphics processing unit (GPU), respectively, and was validated through the real-time RGB-D SLAM.

In this study, the exergy that can be reflected in the energetic and economic values was used to assess the heat tariff of a district heating (DH) system instead of the enthalpy. It is difficult to directly apply the exergy to the current heat-charge system because of the complicated calculation; therefore, the difference between the supply and return temperatures was converted to the exergy-temperature difference for the ease of the heat-amount calculation. As a result of the exergy analysis for a DH substation, the exergy-temperature difference did not affect the surrounding temperature and pressure loss. The supply temperature and the maximum difference between the supply temperature and the return temperature exerted the main effect on the exergy-temperature difference. The new heat charge of a DH user was slightly reduced in winter compared with the previous charge, but the heat charges in the other seasons are almost the same. It is concluded from the assessment of the heat tariff for which the exergy is used that this tariff is more feasible for both DH suppliers and consumers compared with enthalpy.

Dynamic Heuristic(DH) is not fixed data and is dynamically modified using transferred real time road data from server In this paper, we propose path-finding algorithm with Maximum Speed Dynamic Heuristic (DH-MAX) and do an experiment. The DH-MAX is to be used the highest speed as DH, in real map divided by same sire. And proposed algorithm searches path using the priority searching only of the fixed data, but also the highest speed with real time information. In the performance test, the quality of path is enhanced but the cost of searching is increased than $A^*$ algorithm.

Dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) is a chronic disease of the skin marked by groups of watery, itch blisters. It is characterized by urticarial plaques and blisters on the elbows, buttocks, and knees, although other sites may also be involved. The ingestion of gluten (the proteins gliadin and prolamin contained in wheat, rye, oats, and barley) triggers an immune system reponse that deposits a substance, IgA (immonuglobin A), under the top layer of skin. IgA is present in affected as well as unaffected skin. DH is a hereditary autoimmune disease linked with celiac disease. Treatment for DH is twofold. (1) Remove the cause: gluten. (2) Suppress the skin response with drugs such as Dapsone or some other sulphones. The latter is the most common treatment used as it is rapidly relieves the itch. However there are some side effects associated with these medications and they need to be taken under medical monitoring with blood tests to detect side effects. Recently, we experienced a DH and that was successfully treated by the herbal medication and external therapy. The medications taken by the patient were yongdamsagantanggami and external therapy were gosam and gumunhwa. So we report this case with a bief review of the oriental medical and medical literatures.

As an elegant solution of the key management scheme for a conventional cryptosystem. Diffie and Hellman introduced a public key distrbution system, whose security depends on the intractabliity of discrete loganthm problem over a finite field, and since then a lot of vartants of DH KDSS have been proposed. In this paper, we present the systematic approach to analyzing the security of a generalized DH KDS and designing an efficient and secure scheme. We classify vanous attacking methods and point out a possible way to avoid these attacks through the examples of successful attacking methods and point out a possible way to avoid these attacks through the examples of successful attack against those systems proposed so far or designed for this purpose. As security analysis tools, we present the redueiblity test, the information theoretic approach, and the protocol analysis technique, which we apply to variations of DH scheme to examine their security under all possble attacks.
