Signal Analysis Software for DGPS Station (DGPS 기준국 신호분석 소프트웨어)

  • In this research, algorithm and software for the medium frequency signal analysis of DGPS(Differential Global Positioning System) station were developed. Based on new MF(Medium Frequency) algorithm, the software of NDGPS(National DGPS) signal analysis was developed for coverage analysis. Predicted MF propagation data from this software was compared to the measurement data for the verification of a developed MF algorithm. GIS(Geographic Information System) techniques including digital map with elevation data were used because MF propagation is closely related to ground conductivity, mountains, building intensity.

  • In order to detect and identify the GPS clock anomaly in the Differential GPS real environment, this paper addresses a method for minimizing the measurement noise of reference receivers. It estimates the real measurement noise that removed the uncommon error source from pseudorange measurement to minimize the measurement noise. Based on the output of two reference receivers, it first removes the uncommon errors, then optimizes the measurement noise by applying the correction data. Finally, it detects and identifies the satellite clock anomaly using the minimized measurement noise. The method will increase the availability of current DGPS reference system.

  • DMB 기반 DGPS 시스템은 기존 중파 DGPS의 음영구역 해소 및 내륙에서의 DGPS 이용자 활성화를 목적으로 개발된 전달매체이다. 본 연구는 향후 유동인구와 교통량이 많아 이용 수요가 크게 예상되며, 멀티패스 등의 영향으로 측위 오차가 큰 도심에서 저가형 수신기를 이용하여 실제 기준국 및 가상 기준국의 DGPS 보정정보를 DMB 기반으로 수신하여 수신환경 수신기별 정지측량과 이동측위를 측정한 결과를 분석하였다.

  • For its simplicity and cost effectiveness in implementation, the Inverted DGPS is well suited for some specific applications like automatic vehicle location systems, where the monitoring station needs accurate position of the vehicles in the street. In the Inverted DGPS, the user sends its GPS position and associated satellite informations to the reference station, and the corrections are made at the reference station to get differentially corrected user position. A fundamental requirement in IDGPS is that the user and the reference station must use the same satellites when the corrections are made. But in practice, it is not often satisfied. Inverted DGPS is also suffered from performance degradation as the baseline become large like DGPS. IDGPS system using multi-reference station can resolve this problem. In this paper a simple multi-reference IDGPS algorithm is proposed and some experiments and analysis are peformed. Experiment results show that IDGPS can achieve the positioning performance as accurate as the DGPS can provide.

  • This paper describes the progress and the plan of 'Wide Area Differential GPS (WA-DGPS) Development' project supported by Korean Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. The project develops the main algorithms of the WA-DGPS which guarantees the improved accuracy, availability, and integrity all over the Korean peninsula. After the establishment of WA-DGPS ground infrastructure system, a real-time demonstration using pseudolite installed on the ground will be conducted in the final year. Also, the development of Korean Satellite-based Augmentation System (SBAS) is expected to be started from 2014, and the algorithms and the results in the WA-DGPS project will be used in the SBAS development.

  • In the future, it is necessary that using the Satellite-based radio navigation augmentation system such as Differential Global Positioning System(DGPS) to achieve a position accuracy of sub-meter level in port. Generally, the receiver for DGPS reference station should meet performance specifications of RSIM Ver. 1.1 presented by RTCM. This paper proposes a method to verify performance of the receiver for DGPS reference station according to the RSIM Ver. 1.1. And this paper presented that performance evaluation of the commercial receiver for DGPS reference station through the proposed method is satisfied with RSIM Ver. 1.1.

DGPS service analysis in the korean coastal ferry route (국내 연안 여객선 항로에서의 DGPS 서비스 분석)

  • Based on the DGPS radio wave measurement in the coast of the yellow-sea, south-sea and east-sea, the DGPS service regions in the korean coastal ferry route are analyzed in this paper. The impact of obstacles on the propagation due to the archipelago and island regions are measured and analyzed in the point of service region. The ocean-based DGPS reference stations provide the wide DGPS ocean service regions with signal strength more than $40dB{\mu}V/m$ and signal-to-noise ratio more than 10 dB. Based on the overlapping of the service regions between the DGPS reference stations, the DGPS services with good quality are provided in the coastal ferry route segments. In case of regions where the propagation obstacles are scattered, the increasingly good service can be provided under conditions of output power reinforcement and antenna efficiency enhancement.

  • 임베디드 시스템을 인터넷에 접속할 수 있도록 하는 초소형의 임베디드 웹서버는 산업 현장에서 가정에 이르기까지 널리 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷을 통해 DGPS 간이 기준국의 보정 정보를 항체에게 제공하기 위한 임베디드 웹서버를 제안하였다. 제안한 간이 기준국용 임베디드 웹서버는 HTTP 1.0과 1.1 표준에서 제시한 구조를 기반으로 설계 가능하다. HTTP 1.0 표준을 기반으로 한 서버는 클라이언트의 요청을 순차적으로 처리하는 반면, HTTP 1.1 표준을 기반으로 한 서버는 클라이언트에 대하여 독립된 프로세스를 할당하여 처리한다. 간이 기준국에 적합한 서버 구조를 결정하기 위하여 각 서버 프로그램의 구조 및 특징을 비교하고 네트워크 인터페이스를 가지는 GPS 수신기에 상용의 실시간 운영체제를 기반으로 구현하였다. PC 내부에 탑재한 상용의 웹브라우저를 통하여 제안한 임베디드 웹서버에 접속하여 DGPS 간이 기준국의 보정 정보를 수신하는 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 제안한 임베디드 웹서버의 구조가 DGPS 간이 기준국에 적합함을 확인하였다.

  • The use of DGPS enhances standalone GPS accuracy and removes common errors from two or more receivers viewing the same satellites. The design of DGPS system contains a precise reference point which is able to compute the common errors to update the pseudo range of users receivers. It should take a great time and cost to provide precise and sufficient accuracy of the reference point. That is, it is natural to measure the parameters from satellites with specific survey instrument system, and then obtain that by post processing. The purpose of the study is to examine the bounds of accuracy which resulted from RTCM correction data transmitted from a simply designed DGPS system. In the paper, We design and evaluate the DGPS system based m the surveyed reference point, and Sub-optimal no by a Standalone GPS as well. As a result of the study, it is shown that the designed system may be applied to the specific marine activity in civilian and military.
