A large-area RF-driven ion source is being developed at Germany for the heating and current drive of ITER device. Negative hydrogen ion sources are major components of neutral beam injection (NBI) systems in future large-scale fusion experiments such as ITER and DEMO. The RF sources for the production of positive hydrogen ions have been successfully developed at IPP (Max-Planck-Institute for Plasma Physics), Garching, for the ASDEX-U and W7-AS neutral beam heating systems. Ion sources of the first NBI system (NBI-1) for the KSTAR tokamak have been developed successfully with a bucket plasma generator based on the filament arc discharge, which have contributed to achieve a good plasma performance such as 15 sec H-mode operation with an injection of 3.5 MW NB power. There is a development plan of RF ion source at the KAERI to extract the positive ions, which can be used for the second NBI system (NBI-2) of the KSTAR and to extract the negative ions for future fusion devices such as Fusion Neutron Source and Korea-DEMO. The development progresses of RF ion source at the KAERI are described in this presentation.

ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29WG11 MPEG has been standardizing UD(user description) to give a user personalized recommendation services. Besides, CD(context description), service description(SD), and recommendation description(RD) are recently being standardized by UD Adhoc Group in MPEG with an advanced UD to cope with needs of current and upcoming services such as augmented reality and social network. The descriptions was reflected to MPEG-UD WD(Working Draft) at MPEG $107^{th}$ meeting and the document was finally approved as international standard by national bodies with standard number(ISO/IEC IS 21000-22 UD) at $114^{th}$ MPEG meeting. In addition, reference software WD to validate conformance of UD standard was approved at $113^{th}$ MPEG meeting. In this paper, we developed a demo program for visual communication according to guideline defined in reference software WD to validate the reference software as well as UD standard.

Blind Source Separation (BSS) is a technique used to separate supposed independent sources of signals from a given set of observations. In this paper, the High Exploration Particle Swarm Optimization (HEPSO) algorithm, which is an enhancement of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, has been used to separate a set of source signals. Compared to PSO algorithm, HEPSO algorithm depends on two additional operators. The first operator is based on the multi-crossover mechanism of the genetic algorithm while the second one relies on the bee colony mechanism. Both operators have been employed to update the velocity and the position of the particles respectively. Thus, they are used to find the optimal separating matrix. The proposed method enhances the overall efficiency of the standard PSO in terms of good exploration and performance. Based on many tests realized on speech and music signals supplied by the BSS demo, experimental results confirm the robustness and the accuracy of the introduced BSS technique.

Implementing flexible production systems in domestic and foreign automotive design parts assembly has increased demand for automation and power reduction. Consequently, transition to a hybrid production method is observed where multiple vehicles are assembled in a single assembly line. Multiple robots, 3D vision sensors, mounting positions, and correction software have complex configurations in the automotive glass mounting system. Hence, automation is required owing to significant difficulty in the assembly process of automobile parts. This study presents a primer lighting and inspection algorithm that is robust to the assembly environment of real automotive design parts using high power 'ㄷ'-shaped LED inclined lighting. Furthermore, a 2D camera was developed in the primer coating inspection system-the core technology of the glass mounting system. A primer application demo line applicable to the actual automobile production line was established using the proposed high power lighting and algorithm. Furthermore, application inspection performance was verified using this demo system. Experimental results verified that the performance of the proposed system exceeded the level required to satisfy the automobile requirements.

Diesel Beitrag befasst sich mil der Sprache in gesellschaftlichen Umbruchssituationen aus der Perspektive einer spezifisch linguistischen Fragestellung. Im Zentrum der Untersuchung steht der Wandel der Sprachverwendung unter den Bedingungen der Demokratisierung der DDR und der Vereinigung mil der BRD seit der Wende 1989/90. Dieser Wandel wird am Beispiel der Lexik, und anhand von Losungen bzw. Demo-Spruchen konkretisiert. Im Zuge der 'Wende' sind $f\"{u}r$ beide Kommunikationsgemeinschaften - $\"{u}berwiegend$ aber $f\"{u}r$ die der neuen $Bundesl\"{a}nder$ - Neologismen in Gebrauch gekommen. Am bekanntesten sind: 'Mauerspecht', 'Wendehals', 'Moniagsdemo' und 'Stasi-Akte' usw. Andererseits wurden im Verlauf der Wende zahireiche Bezeichnungen, insbesondere $f\"{u}r$ $aufgel\"{o}ste$ Institutionen der DDR sowie viele verwaltungsspezifische $W\"{o}lfer$, historisiert. An Textbeispielen der Losungen des Herbstes 1989 werden uns die Dynamik sprachlicher Strukturen auf der einen Seite und die sich verandernden gesellschaftlichen $Verh\"{a}ltnisse$ in der $\"{o}ffentlichen$ Kommunikation der ehemaligen DDR auf der anderen Seite vol Augen gefuhrt. Verglichen mit den zum 1. Mai bekannt gegebenen of nziellen SED-Losungen, sind die Aktanten der Demo-Spruche das Volk, teils als Individuen und teils als spontan gebildete Gruppen. Im Unterschied zu den 'allen' offiziellen Losungen $repr\"{a}sentieren$ die Demo-$Spr\"{u}che$ verschiedenartige Sprechhandlungstypen: Nicht nur AUFFORDERN, APPELLIEREN, BEHAUPTEN, sondern auch FRAGEN, BESCHIMPFEN, DROHEN, $GR\"{U}{\ss}EN$usw. Gleichzeitig $\"{u}bernehmen$ sie viele Textmuster als sprachliche Stilmittel aus fem Bereich anderer Spruch- und Kurztextgattungen, wie zum Beispiel Sprichwort, Kinderreim, Aphorismus, Anspielung und verwenden auch Zitate. Auf diese Weise linden sich in den Wende-Losungen zahlreiche Belege $f\"{u}r$ intertextuelle $Bez\"{u}ge$. So schaffen diese Losungen $schlie{\ss}lich$ eine neue Qualitat des $\"{o}ffentlich-politischen$ Diskurses in der Gesellschaft. Am Rande der Untersuchungen haben wir $f\"{u}r$ das Deutsch in Ost und West festgestellt: $Bem\"{u}hungen$ der $Ann\"{a}herung$ und des sprachlich-kornrnunikativen Ausgleichs findet man seit der Wende 1989/90 eher auf der Seite der Ostdeutschen. Die sprachlichen Differenzierungen zwischen Ost- und Westdeutschland waren vornehmlich lexikalischer An. Es ist aber anzunehmen, dass es heute weniger die Sprache selbst ist als vielmehr das unterschiedliche Kommunikationsverhalten zwischen Ost- und Westdeutschen, das die Verstandigung zwischen Ost- und Westdeutschen schwierig zu machen scheint.

The purpose of this study has to investigate the economic distress and consumption behavior changes of urban households. Data for this study were collected from 519 households who have resided in seoul area. The results showed that the income distress was higher than the employment distress. The variavles that influenced on income distress were mainly economic variables, while in the employment distress, social-demo variables were. According to the resets that investigated the changes of consumption behaviors with respect to the dimensions of behavioral consumption, the quantity and price directive consumption changed greatly. Finally socio-economic variables were affecting on consumption behavior through the economic distress directly and indirectly.

The verification of software part and HW/SW interface suffer from the absence of the hardware platform at the end of partitioning and coding phase in design cycle. In this paper we present the design of easy verification for hardware design. Hardware and software engineer can verify their software program and hardware design for a chip that is emulated in proposed verification environment. Besides, designer can easily design the DEMO system.

1994년 9월7일부터 15일까지 9일간 미국 Chicago에서 International Manufacturing Technogy Show(IMTS 94)가 개최되어 수십만명이 Show를 보기 위해서 세계 각국으로부터 모여들고 있었다. 필자도 그 중 한사람이었으며 Gidding & Lewis사의 전시 Booth에 도착했을 때 어떤 기계의 Demo 를 구경하기 위한 인파가 꽉 차 있는 것을 보았다. 먼 곳에서 보니 1969.7.20 미국에서 달에 쏘아올려 Neil Armstrong이 조종한 Apollo ll 우주선과 흡사한 모습의 기계가 보였다. 상하 두 Platform 사이를 6개의 다리로 지지되어 있고 상부 Platform의 하축에 공구의 Spindle이 부착되어 있었다. 이 기계를 VARIAX라고 부르고 미래의 공작기계가 이모양이 될 것이라고 설명하고 있었다.

지난 4월 2일 GAS KOREA 2008 전시회가 개최된 서울무역전시장에서 '한국DME협회 분과발표회'가 열렸다. 이날 분과발표회에서는 'DME Demo 플랜트 현황소개(한국가스공사 연구 개발원 조원준 박사 "DME 연료실증, 시험연구 사업현황(한국가스공사 연구개발원 백영순 박사)" 커먼레일형 연료공급계를 탑재한 2리터급 DME 차량개발(자동차 부품연구원 정재우 박사) "급속압축장치를 이용한 불균일 예혼합기의 DME HCCI연소 과정에 관한 연구(울산대학교 임옥택 교수) DME의 자착화 측정 및 세탄가의 추정(인하대학교 이대엽교수)" 직접분사식 압축착화기관에서 DME연료의 분무미립화 및 배출물 특성(한양대학교 이창식 교수)' 에 대한 발표도 이뤄졌다.
