자율 주행 트랙터 시스템의 성능 향상을 위한 CAN 기반의 조향제어시스템 개발 (Development of Steering Control System based on CAN for Autonomous Tractor System)

  • A steering control system based on CAN(Controller Area Network) for autonomous tractor was developed to reduce duty of a central processing computer and to improve performance of steering control in terms of reduced control interval and error. The steering control system consisted of a SCU (Steering Control Unit), an EHPS system, and a potentiometer. The SCU consisted of an MCU (Micro Controller unit), an A/D converter, and a DC-DC converter, and a PID controller was used to control steering angle. The steering control system was communicated with the computer by CAN-bus. Each actuator and implement was connected to a multi-function board interfacing with the computer through a USB cable. Without CAN, control interval of the autonomous tractor was 1.5 seconds. When the CAN-based steering control system was combined with the autonomous tractor, however, control interval of the integrated system was reduced to those less than 0.05 seconds. When the autonomous tractor was operated with 1.5-s and 0.05-s control cycles at a 0.63-m/s travelling speed, the trajectories were close to straight lines for both of the control cycles. For a 1.34-m/s traveling speed, tractor trajectory was close to sine wave with a 1.5-s control cycle, but was straight line with a 0.05-s control cycle.

  • In crane drives, DC motor has been most widely used due to simple control characteristic and favorable transient behavior. Nowadays, however, the squirrel cage induction motor is known as an attractive candidate due to elimination of all sliding electrical contacts, resulting in an exceedingly simple and rugged construction. Especially, in hoist application, the smooth torque control and four quadrant operation are essential. In this paper, an operation of dual inverters with common DC bus fed by vector controlled induction motor is described. Single DSP is employed as a main processor to control dual inverters and communicates each input/output signal with PLC. As well as giving a detailed expression, full simulation and experimental results are presented.

Simplified Control Scheme of Unified Power Quality Conditioner based on Three-phase Three-level (NPC) inverter to Mitigate Current Source Harmonics and Compensate All Voltage Disturbances

  • This paper proposes a simplified and efficient control scheme for Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) based on three-level (NPC) inverter capable to mitigate source current harmonics and compensate all voltage disturbances perturbations such us, voltage sags, swells, unbalances and harmonics. The UPQC is designed by the integration of series and shunt active filters (AFs) sharing a common dc bus capacitor. The dc voltage is maintained constant using proportional integral voltage controller. The shunt and series AF are designed using a three-phase three-level (NPC) inverter. The synchronous reference frame (SRF) theory is used to get the reference signals for shunt and the power reactive theory (PQ) for a series APFs. The reference signals for the shunt and series APF are derived from the control algorithm and sensed signals are injected in tow controllers to generate switching signals for series and shunt APFs. The performance of proposed UPQC system is evaluated in terms of power factor correction and mitigation of voltage, current harmonics and all voltage disturbances compensation in three-phase, three-wire power system using MATLAB-Simulink software and SimPowerSystem Toolbox. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed UPQC system can improve the power quality at the common connection point of the non-linear load.

  • Voltage dips caused by transmission system faults are usually of a short duration. High speed relaying and breaker operation will typically limit the disturbance to 0.1 seconds. Most motor controllers obtain their control power directly from the bus by means of a control transformer. Under this condition, a voltage dip can cause the contactor to drop out. disconnecting the motor from the line. The rapid re-energizing of the controller is in effect a fast reclosure which may result in motor damage. The time delay re-energizing of controller will result in a greater loss of speed and possibly loss of stability. Other means of controller can be used to prevent the motor from being disconnected from line during the fault. This can be accomplished by DC power controller or mechanically latched controller. This paper demonstrates that DC power controller or mechanically latched type controller to prevent the motor from being disconnected from line during the fault is, the most effective in minimizing speed reduction, transient motor current, transient motor torque and transient shaft torque by EMTP calculation.

  • This paper proposes a novel switching strategy of 1Mvar STATCON using cascade multilevel H-bridge inverter(HBI) for FACTS application. To control the reactive power instantaneously, the d-q dynamic system model is described and analyzed. A single pulse pattern based on the SHEM(Selective Harmonic Elimination Method) technique is determined from the look-up table to reduce the line current harmonics and a rotating fundamental frequency switching scheme is presented to adjust the DC voltage of each inverter capacitor at the same value. So the voltage unbalance problem between separately DC bus voltage is improved by using the proposed switching scheme. As a result, the presented inverter configuration not only reduces the system complexity by eliminating the isolation at the AC input side transformer but also improves the dynamic response to the step change of reactive power.

Distortion Elimination for Buck PFC Converter with Power Factor Improvement

  • A quasi-constant on-time controlled buck front end in combined discontinuous conduction mode and boundary conduction mode is proposed to improve power factor (PF).When instantaneous AC input voltage is lower than the output bus voltage per period, the buck converter turns into buck-boost converter with the addition of a level comparator to compare input voltage and output voltage. The gate drive voltage is provided by an additional oscillator during distortion time to eliminate the cross-over distortion of the input current. This high PF comes from the avoidance of the input current distortion, thereby enabling energy to be delivered constantly. This paper presents a series analysis of controlling techniques and efficiency, PF, and total harmonic distortion. A comparison in terms of efficiency and PF between the proposed converter and a previous work is performed. The specifications of the converter include the following: input AC voltage is from 90V to 264V, output DC voltage is 80V, and output power is 94W.This converter can achieve PF of 98.74% and efficiency of 97.21% in 220V AC input voltage process.

  • 본 연구는 스마트분전반 MG(;Micro-Grid) 구성의 중심축으로 모듈형 하이브리드 발전원과 DC버스를 통하여 링크를 갖으며 표준소켓을 사용하여 불법연결을 감지 차단하는 기능을 부여하고, 전력계통의 안정화를 달성함을 목적으로 한다. 전력변환장치, 스마트분전반, 통합제어시스템의 개발과 효율적인 수요관리가 필요하며, MG 전체시스템과의 호환성이 절실하다. 이는 공통 전력 연결 규약으로 안전하고 누구나 연결을 쉽게 할 수 있는 하이브리드발전시스템으로 데이터 관리가 용이해지고 다양한 제조사의 시스템 확대설치에 대한 대비가 가능하다.

  • 본 논문에서는 12-펄스정류기의 고조파 저감을 위해 12-펄스정류기의 커패시터 중앙 DC버스에 보조전원장치의 설치를 제안하였다. 그리고 이 장치에 의해 고조파가 감소되는 이론적인 배경을 다루었으며 부하전류의 크기에 따라 보조전원장치가 어떻게 제어되어야 하는지를 밝혔다. 본 논문에서 제안한 보조전원장치는 구형파 전압원을 적용함으로써 능동필터와 같은 다른 방식에 비해 시스템 구조가 간단하고 보다 저렴하다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 12-펄스정류기 고조파 저감법의 검증을 위해 소프트웨어 PSIM을 활용하였으며 제안된 방식의 유효성을 확인하였다.

능동전력필터를 가진 지하철 회생인버터 시스템 (A Regeneration Inverter for Traction Applications with a Active Power Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 전철시스템의 직류모선에 발생하는 잉여분의 전력을 교류전원 측으로 회생시킬 수 있는 회생인버터시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 직류 전철용 회생인버터 시스템은 교류 전원 측 전류에 포함되어진 고조파를 제거할 수 있는 기능을 추가하였다. 회생인버터 모드에서는 전철의 감속에 의해 회생되는 에너지를 재사용할 수 있으며, 능동전력필터 모드에서는 정류기에 의해 발생되는 고조파 왜곡을 보상할 수 있다. 논문에서 회생용 인버터는 PWM DC/AC 인버터 알고리즘을 사용하였으며, 능동전력필터는 p-q 이론을 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션은 축소모델[3.7kW]과 동일하게 구성되었다. 시뮬레이션과 실험 결과로부터 두 가지 알고리즘이 실 모델[100kW]에서도 적용되어질 수 있음을 증명하였다.

  • Hybrid power system has a power balanced controller to equilibrate generation power with a load demand and it is composed of DC bus-type power systems. And all of power generators in hybrid power system can be equivalent to current-source characteristics. So this paper discusses power balance control for photovoltaic/wind/diesel hybrid power system. And through the results of simulation, the proposed scheme was verified.
