The recent sudden increase of big data has characteristics such as continuous generation of data, large amount, and unstructured format. The existing relational database technologies are inadequate to handle such big data due to the limited processing speed and the significant storage expansion cost. Current implemented solutions are mainly based on relational database that are no longer adapted to these data volume. NoSQL solutions allow us to consider new approaches for data warehousing, especially from the multidimensional data management point of view. In this paper, we develop and propose the integrated design methodology based on MongoDB for big data applications. The proposed methodology is more scalable than the existing methodology, so it is easy to handle big data.

인터넷의 확산과 다양한 정보의 등장으로 인해 효율적으로 정보를 관리하고 저장할 수 있는 정보 시스템의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 요구를 만족시키기 위해서는 기존의 데이터베이스 관리 시스템과 연동하여 다양한 플랫폼과 이질의 데이터에 관계없이 저장과 관리가 용이한 시스템의 구축이 필요하다. W3C에서 제안한 XML 표준안은 다양한 분야에서 연구가 진행 중에 있다[5][9]. 본 논문에서 제안하는 DB2XML 변환 Wrapper는 XML 기반하에서 기존의 데이터베이스 모델의 스키마와 정보를 자료 중심의 XML 파일로 변환하여 관리하고, 이를 다시 데이터베이스로 변환할 수 있도록 설계를 하였다. 또한 변환된 XML파일을 통해서 기존의 데이터베이스 관리 시스템에서와 같이 다양한 데이터 삽임과 삭제, 갱신등의 조작을 가능하게 하였다. 이는 데이터베이스의 스키마 구조에 대한 메타 정보를 나타내는 것이며, 이를 통해 다양한 데이터 베이스 모델의 적용도 가능하다고 본다[2][3].

이 논문에서는 한국교육학술정보원(KERIS)의 종합목록 서비스(UNICAT)와 국립중앙도서관의 국가자료공동목록 시스템(KOLIS-NET), 한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI)의 과학기술도서정보(UNION DB)를 중심으로 한국의 도서자료 공동편목 시스템의 현황을 개략적으로 살펴보고, 그 문제점을 구체적인 사례를 들어 분석하였다.

A system for evaluating streamflow data (KORSAS) was developed, and is operated using PC based Windows to help the hydrological observation practitioner's working in Korea Water Resources Corporation (KOWACO). This system has modules including; DB access and data management, flow measurement arranging, H-Q relation deriving, area rainfall calculating, flow calculating, and flow evaluating modules. Evaluation of observed streamflow is accomplished through the following processes. First, hourly streamflow data is calculated from water level data stored in a DB server by applying the rating relationship between water level and flow rates derived from the past flow measurements. Second, hourly areal rainfal data is calculated from point data stored in the DB server by applying Thiessen networks. Third, hydrographs are displayed on a daily, weekly, monthly, or seasonal duration basis, and are compared to hydrographs of reservoir inflow, hydrographs at water level observation stations and hydrographs derived from simulated results using models.

WEB기반의 환경 GIS자료 관리를 위해 JVM, JDBC, Oracle DB을 이용한다. 본 논문에서의 다루는 환경 GIS자료에는 위성, 주제도, GIS자료 등이 있으며, 이 자료는 공간 정보와 속성 정보를 가지고 DB에 존재한다. 자료의 검색은 WEB Broswer의 조회용 지도를 이용한 공간 검색과 비공간 속성 정보에 의한 검색 기능을 제공한다. 자료 등록은 WEB Broswer에서 자료 등록 시스템을 이용한다.

웹 어플리케이션 개발 시 데이터베이스 시스템의 사용이 증가함에 따라 데이터베이스 시스템에 접속하는 커넥션 리소스 관리에 대한 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 논문은 웹 어플리케이션 구축 시 사용하는 데이터베이스 접속 풀(Database connection Pool)의 성능을 평가하고 진단하는 도구를 제안한다. 본 도구는 성능 및 진단을 통하여 웹 어플리케이션에 가장 적합한 최적화된 DB 커넥션 풀을 최적화하는 방법을 제시한다. 아울러 제안된 도구를 사용한 효과적인 데이터베이스 접속 풀(Database Connection Pool)의 관리 결과에 대하여 기술한다.

Thus, big data processing technologies, which are normally based on distributed file systems, distributed database management, and parallel processing technologies, have arisen as a core technology to implement big data repositories. In this paper, we propose a design methodology for large-scale database based on MongoDB by extending the information engineering methodology based on E-R data model.

Numerous reports show that alternative project delivery systems (PDSs) such as design-build (DB), construction management at risk (CMR), and design-build-maintain (DBM) are increasingly used in many countries. This study compared characteristics of each PDS (design-bid-build (DBB), DB, CMR, or DBM) by analyzing quantitative data from 9 research articles. In order to compare characteristics between DBB and alternative PDSs, the study is based on principal 3 factors - Time, Cost, and Quality. DB shows the best performance in the time part and also the cost performance depending on facility type and project size. The performance of quality has minor difference among different PDSs. These results support the fact that using an appropriate PDS by the characteristic of a project makes high value of efficiency and productivity.

본 연구는 재난안전 분야에서 발생되는 정보갈등을 관리하기 위한 방안으로 재난갈등 정보 DB 구축을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 국내 외 연구기관의 데이터베이스 구축 현황을 분석하여 갈등 DB연구의 새로운 접근방법을 고려한 데이터베이스 구축을 제안하였다. 최근 정보갈등 관리를 위해 정보손실 예방, 갈등양상의 세분화, 다양한 관점의 자료획득의 필요성이 강조되고 있는 추세임에 따라 재난안전 분야의 갈등특성을 고려하여 재난유형별로 재난관리과정에서 발생되는 갈등의 행위주체, 주체별 갈등관리의 문제점 및 해결전략에 대한 정보관리 및 DB 구축을 제안한다. 재난갈등 사례의 장기적 자료 축적을 통해 향후 재난관리 과정에서 재난유형별로 발생 가능한 갈등유형을 예측하고, 유형별 갈등관리 전략에 관한 정보 분석을 통해 갈등에 대처해나가는 것이 필요하다.

전자지불 임베디드 시스템의 DB는 목적 및 기능에 따라 다양하며 비용을 최소화 하기 위해 CPU, Memory, Storage 등이 범용 PC와 비교하여 낮은 성능을 가진다. 이와 같은 특징으로 인해 범용 database을 임베디드 환경에서 사용하는 경우, 요구 성능을 만족하지 못할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 자체 구현한 전자지불 임베디드 환경에서 전자카드 리스트 관리 데이터 베이스 엔진(이하 DBX)와 임베디드 DB 중 Berkeley DB, SQLite와 함께 성능을 측정하고 해당 결과를 분석하였다.
