  • NTMS(Non-contact Tilted-angle Measuring System) is developed by using the principle that the magnetic field of an anisotropic magnet's inner space is uniform and it's possible to measure the strength of the magnetic field using a linear hall effect sensor. In order to implement the caliper system of the geometry PIG(Pipeline Inspection Gauge) which has high accuracy and proper output voltage of the hall sensor without additional driving module or a signal amplifier, it is necessary to consider the size of the magnet, the inner space and back-yoke and the position of pin-hole in the magnet. So the optimal design method of the caliper system is proposed through analysis of NTMS's magnetic field adopting a FEM(Finite Element Method). The experimental results show that the developed caliper system can be used for the geometry pig with good performances.

  • 패류 인공종자생산에서 모패관리의 중요성이 커져가고 있으며 최적의 모패 관리 조건과 원하는 시기에 종자생산을 할 수 있는 성숙유도 조건을 구명하는 하는 것이 매우 중요하기 때문에 본 연구에서는 왕우럭 조개의 모패관리 최적조건과 성숙 촉진을 위한 가온 효과를 조사하였다. 모패관리는 실내사육에 비하여 실외사육이 비만도와 생존율 측면에서 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났으며 관리 측면에서도 인위적인 먹이생물 공급이 없으며 자연환경 조건에서 사육하기 때문에 관리가 수월하다는 장점이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 동계가온을 통한 성숙촉진 유도는 비만도와 생식소 관찰 등을 통하여 수온 18℃ 이상에서 2개월 정도 사육하였을 경우 성성숙이 이루어지는 것으로 나타나 성숙관리가 다른 패류에 비해 용이하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

변환효율 향상을 위한 횡방향 가변 셀밀도법을 사용한 자동차용 촉매변환기의 수치적 설계 (Numerical Design of Auto-Catalyst Substrate for Improved Conversion Performance Using Radially Variable Cell Density)

  • The optimal design of auto-catalyst needs a good compromise between the pressure drop and flow uniformity in the substrate. One of the effective methods to achieve this goal is to use the concept of radially variable cell density. But this method has not been examined its usefulness in terms of chemical behavior and conversion performance. In this work, two-dimensional performance prediction of catalyst coupled with turbulent reacting flow simulation has been used to evaluated the benefits of this method n the flow uniformity and conversion efficiency. The results showed that two cell combination of 93cpsc and 62 cpsc was the most effective for improved pressure drop and conversion efficiency due to balanced space velocity and efficient usage of geometric surface area of channels. It was also found that large temperature difference between the bricks in case that the edge of the frontal face of brick has too much lower cell density(less than 67% of cell density of the center of the brick). This study has also demonstrated that the present computational results show the better prediction accuracy in terms of CO, HC and NO conversion efficiencies compared to those of conventional 1-D adiabatic model by comparison with experimental results.

  • The ship's propulsion efficiency depends upon a combibation of engine and propeller. The propeller has better efficiency as the engine has lower rotational speed. This situation led the engine manufacures to design the engine that has lower speed, longer stroke and a small number of cylinders. With this new trends the conventional mechanical-hydrualic governors for engine speed control have been replaced by digital speed controllers which adopted the PID control or the optimal control algorithm. But these control algorithms have not enough robustness to suppress the variations of the delay-time and the parameter perturbation especially in low speed engine. In this study we consider the perturbations of the engine parameters as the modeling uncetainties and design a robust speed controller for marine medium speed diesel engine by means of $ extit{H}_{infty}$control theory having the central solution. By comparing the results of the robust speed controller with those of mechanical governor and PID controller, the validity of the robust speed controller under parameter variations is confirmed. The speed control of the experimental diesel engine of carried out using actuator which is composed of PWM signal generator and D.C servo motor.

  • To suppress vibration and noise of mechanical structures piezoelectric ceramics play an increasing role as effective, simple and light-weighted damping devices as they are suitable for sensing and actuating. Out of the various piezoelectric damping methods this paper compares mode based active control strategies to passive shunt damping for thin plates. Therefore, a new approach for the optimal placement of the piezoelectric sensors/actuators, or more general transducers, is proposed after intense theoretical investigations based on the Kirchhoff kinematical hypotheses of plates; in particular, modal and nilpotent transducers are discussed in detail. Based on the proposed distribution a discrete design for modal transducers is implemented, tested and verified on an experimental setup. For active control the modal sensors clearly identify the eigenmodes, whereas the modal actuators impose distributed eigenstrains in order to reduce the transverse plate vibrations. In contrast to the modal control, passive shunt damping works without requiring additional actuators or auxiliary power and can therefore act as an autonomous system, but it is less effective compensating the flexible vibrations. Exemplarily, an acryl glass plate disturbed by an arbitrary force initialized by a loudspeaker is investigated. Comparing the different methods their specific advantages are highlighted and a significant broadband reduction of the vibrations of up to -20dB is obtained.

  • The container package type sealed water electrolysis production system installs mechanical balance of plant and electrical balance of plant as an integrated unit to enable independent operation within the package module. The auxiliary equipment required to operate the water electrolysis system must be integrated to reduce the installation area and shorten the installation time. At this time, as leak risk factors are placed in a dense space, when a hydrogen gas leak accident occurs, it can have a mutual influence on other adjacent facilities, so it contains various risk factors. In this study, when a gas leak occurs in a container packaged water electrolysis system, possible sources of leakage in the system according to the KS C IEC 60079-10-1:2015 and KGS GC101 standards were identified, and the leak rate and leak characteristics were calculated. did. The hazardous area and its range were calculated according to ventilation and dilution characteristics. In order to optimize ventilation characteristics, design of experiment was used to analyze the influence to evaluate the adequacy of ventilation, and overseas ventilation standards were analyzed and compared. In addition, the optimal ventilation structure and characteristics of the container packaged water electrolysis system were presented according to the results of the experimental design method.

레이저 3D 프린팅 기법으로 제작한 열교환기 성능시험 분석 연구 (Experimental analysis of heat exchanger performance produced by laser 3D printing technique)

  • 3D 프린팅은 고분자, 세라믹, 금속 등 다양한 소재를 대상으로 복합적인 형상을 한 번의 공정으로 제작할 수 있는 적층 기반 제작 기술이다. 최근의 3D 프린팅 기술은 프린팅 속도의 향상과 적용 가능 소재의 지속적인 개발에 의해 양산형 제품 생산이 가능한 수준으로 발전하였다. 본 연구에서는 레이저를 활용한 3D 프린팅 기술을 적용하여 철도 차량용 공기 압축기에 쓰이는 열교환기 제작을 진행하였다. 먼저 3D 프린팅에 적합한 형상으로 경량화 및 컴팩트화를 주안점으로 열교환기의 최적 설계를 진행하였다. 그로부터 도출된 설계안을 기반으로 SLM 기법을 적용하여 AlSi10Mg 합금 소재로 열교환기 시작품을 제작하였다. 다음으로, 제작된 시작품을 기존 공기 압축기에 부착하여, 압축공기의 열교환 성능을 시험하였다. 3D 프린팅 시작품의 시험 결과는 기존 열교환기 대비하여 저압부와 고압부에서 열교환 성능은 각각 약 80% 및 85% 수준을 보였다, 하지만 외부 냉각공기 조건을 기존 열교환기와 유사한 조건으로 가정하였을 때 𝓔-NTU 법을 활용하여 계산한 열전달량은 기존 열교환기 대비하여 유사한 성능을 보여 주었다. 결과적으로, 3D 프린팅 제작 열교환기의 성능 효과 및 경량화 등의 장점을 확인할 수 있었다.

복분자(Rubus coreanum Miquel) 즙을 이용한 드레싱 제조의 재료 혼합 비율의 최적화 (Formulation Optimization of Salad Dressing Added with Bokbunja (Rubus coreanum Miquel) Juice)

  • 본 연구는 새로운 드레싱을 개발하기 위하여 복분자를 이용한 샐러드드레싱을 만들었을 때 최적의 혼합비를 찾기 위하여 혼합물 실험계획법(mixture design) 중 D-optimal design을 이용하였다. 샐러드드레싱의 품질에 가장 영향을 미치는 복분자즙, 기름, 식초의 첨가율을 독립변수로 설정하였고, 범위는 예비실험을 거쳐 각각 $15.70\sim47.10%$, $23.50\sim39.20%$, $3.90\sim19.60%$로 하였다. 실험 결과를 모델링하여 유의성을 검증한 결과, 점도, 적색도, 황색도, 총색차, 유화안정성과 관능검사 항목 중 색이 linear 모델로, 명도와 관능검사 항목 중 냄새, 맛과 전반적인 기호도는 quadratic 모델로 결정되었다. 모델의 적합성을 분석한 결과 모든 항목에서 probability가 모두 0.05% 이내에서 유의성을 보여 모델로서 적합함이 인정되었다. 복분자즙을 이용한 샐러드드레싱의 최적 재료 혼합비율은 수치 최적화에서는 복분자즙 36.02%, 기름 26.48%, 식초 12.00%이었고, 모형적 최적화에서는 desirability가 0.577에 해당하는 복분자즙 36.00%, 기름 26.44%, 식초 12.06%로 수치 최적화 점과 거의 일치하는 수치를 보였다. 이는 드레싱을 만들 때 복분자의 활용 가능성을 제시하여 새로운 드레싱 제품 개발의 기초자료를 제공하고, 새로운 것을 추구하는 소비자들의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Determination of Optimal Dietary Sulfur Amino Acids Ratio Relative to Lysine for Growing Barrows and Gilts

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary SAA (sulfur-containing amino acids) on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) content, and to determine the optimal SAA:lysine ratio for growing barrows and gilts. A total of 150 pigs (75 barrows and 75 gilts, Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire${\times}$Duroc) were assigned to 6 treatments with 5 replicates of 5 pigs per pen. All pigs were fed diets containing either 1.12 (for barrows) or 1.33% (for gilts) dietary lysine with increasing SAA levels (50, 55 and 60% of dietary lysine) in a $2{\times}3$ factorial design. Throughout the whole experimental period (15 to 54 kg body weight), there was no interaction between sexes and SAA:lysine ratios on ADG, ADFI and FCR. However, increasing the SAA:lysine ratio from 50 to 60% in a diet showed a trend to increase ADG and ADFI of barrows. None of differences in nutrient digestibilities except for calcium and phosphorus were observed and gilts showed higher digestibility of calcium and phosphorus (p<0.05). Among dietary SAA:lysine ratios, there were no differences in apparent nutrient digestibility. Mean values of the essential amino acids (EAA), non-essential amino acids (NEAA) and total amino acids (TAA) digestibilities were higher in gilts than barrows (p<0.01). However, no differences in mean value of EAA, NEAA and TAA digestibilities were observed among dietary SAA:lysine ratios. Between sexes and among SAA:lysine ratios, no significant difference in BUN concentration was observed. This study demonstrated that the optimal inclusion ratio of SAA:lysine was 55% and below 50% in barrows and gilts, respectively.
