This study investigated the effects of the types of noise and signal to noise ratios (SNRs) on speech intelligibility of an adult with dysartrhia. Speech intelligibility was judged by 48 naive listeners using a word transcription task. Repeated measures design was used with the types of noise (multi-talker babble/environmental noise) and SNRs (0, +10 dB, +20 dB) as within-subject factors. The dependent measure was the percentage of correctly transcribed words. Results revealed that two main effects were statistically significant. Listeners performed significantly worse in the multi-talker babble condition than the environmental noise condition, and they performed significantly better at higher levels of SNRs. The current results suggested that the multi-talker babble and lower level of SNRs decreased the speech intelligibility of adults with dysarthria, and speech-language pathologists should consider environmental factors such as the types of noise and SNRs in evaluating speech intelligibility of adults with dysarthria.

This study aims to evaluate and identify the Patterns of the technological competitiveness of the Korean industry. Such statistics as R&D expenditure and R&D manpower as input indexes, US patent registrations and export sales as output indexes were used. it was turned out that such industrial types as specialized-suppliers industries, scale-intensive industries and science-intensive industries showed relatively strong technical competitiveness. However, resource-intensive industries and labor-intensive industries which had maintained a competitive advantage in the 1970s and the 1980s appeared to be gradually losing their technological competitiveness. These results are by and large in accordance with the trends of export performance. This study conducted the canonical discriminant analysis in order to test the correctness of the patterns displayed in the technological competitiveness of the Korean industry. The result of the analysis showed that the five patterns of technical strength of the Korean industries are significantly independent each other for four respective variables which are used to distinguish industries. This implies that the ex ante industrial classification into five typers was correct in terms of the ex post statistics, and that the patterns of technological competitiveness discovered in this study are also statistically correct.

도체의 허용전류를 추정하기 위하여 기상모델을 적용할 경우 기온 및 풍속 둥은 지역에 따라 불규칙하게 변화되므로 DLR 추정 및 운용에는 모니터링 위치의 선정 및 측정 개소의 증감 둥 여러 가지 고려해야 할 점들이 존재하게 된다. 측정된 기상요소의 추세들은 DLR 결과에 그대로 반영되므로, 각 기상 요소에 대한 유형을 정확하게 추정할 수 있으면 이 특성을 정량화하여 DLR 계산에 이용할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 2001년 1년 동안 대전지방기상청에서 측정된 기상데이터를 사용하여 기상 모델의 각 요소와 DLR추정 결과 사이의 특성을 비교 및 검토하였다.

This paper demonstrates a scalp-implantable miniaturized antenna at the medical implant communication service (MICS) (402-405MHz) band. The antenna size is only $27.63mm^3$($8.5mm{\times}6.5mm{\times}0.5mm$), which is the smallest antenna for the MICS band. Miniaturization is achieved by using a symmetrical serpentine shaped radiating patch and placing open-end slots in the ground plane. In addition, co-axial feeding is used for excitation with a shorting pin connected between the radiator and ground. The antenna was simulated in a homogeneous skin model and in the human scalp. An experimental prototype of the proposed antenna was fabricated and measured in a skin-mimicking gel. Good agreement was obtained between the measurement and simulation results, showing a broad bandwidth of 49 MHz (from 395 to 444 MHz) for |S11| less than -10 dB and a maximum gain of -42.87 dBi. This gain is higher than the previous MICS antenna with respect to antenna size.

본 논문에서는 주로 bifilar pair의 연선에 의한 대칭 3dB quadrature hybrid 회로의 구성에 관하여 고찰 연구 하였다. 연선으로된 두 개의 하이브리드를 종속연결함으로서 VHF 대에서 결합손실(coupling loss)이 작으며 한 옥타브의 대성폭을 갖는 quadrature hybrid 회로를 실현 할 수 있었다. 이러한 유형의 하이브리드는 짜임새가 간결하면서도 저렴하므로 1GHz 이하의 주파수 대역에서 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 동축선 형 또한 인쇄회로형보다 오히려 유리하다고 생각된다 본 연구는 텔레비젼 전파의 고스트 방지를 위하여 두개의 다른 안테나 신호를 혼합하는 하이브리드 회로를 얻기위한 설계방법을 제시한 것이다.

In the course of insurance claim administration, medical experts' opinions are called medical claim reviews. They are classified into two main categories: medical verification and counsel for claim staff. Medical verification compare between product coverage and the insured's physical condition. Medical counsel for claim staff is advice for claim staff when they have a question about medical knowledge to make a claim decision. A common example of medical verification is insurance coding of pituitary apoplexy. Some clinicians have insisted that the ICD coding of pituitary apoplexy is l63 of cerebral infarction, but the exclusion criteria of I code show that neoplasm is coded as C00 to D48. Thus, pituitary apoplexy must be coded as D33. An example of medical counsel for claim staff is interpretation of some medical conditions. It is divided into UCR(usual, customary, and reasonable) assessment, assessment of causality, and so on. Disability evaluation is another subject of medical counsel for claim staff. The final claim decision must be made by claim staff because only the claim staff have the authority of claim decision. Medical claims review is only an expert's opinion.

A novel water-turbine, Katamax, for micro hydropower generator is proposed, which has reasonable efficiency even in two meters of water head. The basic concept of Katamax is similar to that of waterwheel except that Katamax has two axis on which the blades rotate, where general waterwheel has only one. Brief structure and principles of Katamax are explained and analysis for efficiency of each module are provided. The result of the prototype product of Katamax is briefly explained.

THis study examines a contingency relationship between task uncertainty and structure of project teams in conjunction with the leader-member communication patterns. Multivariate analyses are used to analyze the data from 63 R & D project teams of research laboratory in a large manufacturing corporation. Major findings for this study can be summarized as follows. First, project teams with an organic structure are found to yield high performance when task uncertainty is high, while project teams with a mechanistic structure achieve high performance when their tasks are relatively certain. Second, patterns of leader-member comunication are significantly associated with both task uncertainty and structural characteristics of project teams. This implies that leaders of project teams communicate with their members in more conslutative manner when their tasks are uncertain or when their team structure exhibits organic characteristics. Finally, task uncertainty playus a significant moderating role in the relationship between consultative communication patterns and performance of project teams. Based upon these findings, this study offers several theoretical, practical, and methodological implications.

4차 산업혁명에서 핵심은 지능정보기술이다. 데이터를 처리하고 활용하며 새로운 유형의 정보를 생성하여 보유하여야만 급변하는 정보사회를 선도할 수 있다. 이제는 자급자족식의 데이터 수집에서 벗어나, 개방형 혁신환경을 조성하여 외부의 기술, 지식, 아이디어 등을 수용하여야 한다. 내 외부의 유연한 관계형성과 소통창구를 마련하여 유기적인 협의체를 구성하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위하여 인천국제공항공사에서는 개방형 혁신 플랫폼 기반의 연구관리지원시스템을 구축하였다. 스타트업 플랫폼, R&D 협업지원, 연구관리지원 등 세 가지 요소로 구성된 본 시스템을 통해 기업의 사회적 책임 완수와 일자리 창출에 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 또한 프로세스 정립을 통한 연구 관리로 표준화된 연구과제관리 플랫폼을 마련하였다. 이를 통해 인천공항은 미래를 준비하는 공항 R&D 추진 체계 구축을 완료함으로써 일류 혁신 기업의 기반을 조성하였다.
