3D Modeling Method for Cultural Properties Web GIS Database Construction (Web GIS 도형 자료 구축을 위한 문화재 3차원 모델링 기법)

  • The purpose of this study is not only preserving and restoring our nation's precious cultural inheritances transmitted for half millennia but informing the world of them. This study also aims recognizing the necessity of transmitting them to prosperity, constructing three-dimensional database by using a photogrammetry and VRML method and utilizing basic data of treasure exhibition with the progress of exhibition technique development on cyber space. Therefore, in this study, I suggest three dimensional modeling method that acquire three dimensional database about cultural properties through photogrammetry method which can acquire three-dimensional coordinates with easy and can express various color and stuff-feeling by using VRML.

  • I intended to establish Augmented Reality(AR) Museum of 3D Cyber Space where artists and graphic designers can freely create in user integrated environment. This study is aimed at building a sufficient and integrated production environment for artists and graphic designers who utilize three-dimensional simulation methods in integrated development environment(IDE). This study intends to build a 3D simulation engine and a creation module of augment reality of 3D cyber space in Android platform to help artists and graphic designers to freely perform their creation in IDE. Based on these designs, I produced exhibition rooms of National Museum of Contemporary Art in 3D virtual space in which artists and graphic designers can put the graphics they have created on display, conducted a user survey and conducted tasking to an Android smartphone.

Deconstruction of the Street Fashion in 1990s -Focus on S/S pret-a-porter Collections- (1990년대 스트리트 패션에 나타난 해체주의 경향 -S/S 프레타포르테 콜렉션을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate deconstructive trends of the street fashion in the 1990s spring/summer(S/S) Collections. This study was carried out by both the qualitative analysis and the quantitative analysis. In the qualitative analysis, the important street fashion was grouped and deconstruction was sampling of category. In the quantitative analysis, it took frequency, percentage and $\chi$$^2$-test. The results of the quantitative analysis are as follows: 1. \"N대-Hippie/Grunge\" has been most popular street fashion through the 1990s. The next is \"Sportive Casual\". 2. According to \"deconstructive inner meanings\", there are significant differences between the S/S street fashion in the 1990s. In \"N대-Mods/Jazz\" style, \"Sportive Casual style\" and \"Technos/Cyber-punk\" style, \"Intertextuality\" is high. In \"N대-Hippie/Grunge\" style, \"Exhibition of Otherness\" is high. 3. According to the \"deconstructive outer description\", there are also significant differences between the S/S street fashion in the 1990s. But, In \"Neo-Mods/Jazz\" style, \"Not Included\" is high, which means the \"N대-Mods/Jazz\" isnt related to the \"deconstructive outer description\". In \"N대-Hippie/Grunge\" style, \"Poverty.outworn\" is high. In \"Sportive Casual\", \"Exposure\" is high. In the \"Technos/Cyber-punk\", \"Destruction.Division\" is high.

  • The Public-founded Museum for Enlargement must Propel some articles of the following. Firstly, it can satisfy the regional inhabitants' desire but also make a role and function by means of synthesis of cultural artistic space. Secondly, it must build up The Operational system of The Central information System for the systematic managing or various kinds of data, The Thirdly the Spatial Creation in consideration of the citizens' advantage is needed for the citizen's easy approach to the museum. The Fourthly, it builds up public services like convenient facilities and resting areas. Fifthly, it must provide information through the build up the Cyber-Museum for the survival in the information-oriented, Globalization of current times. Next, it focus's on the public advantage of not mixing mean and purpose but of having a geared mind. Lastly, it educates the regional inhabitants through training professional human resources in each sphere.

  • The findings of this study indicate that intangible cultural properties are worth preservation and transmission and should be considered as very important as tangible cultural properties. If the studies of intangible cultural properties are continued focusing on their characteristics and formational system, they can be expressed more properly by adding new interactive elements to database and expressive requisites. New techniques introduced in this study are believed to provide people with most reasonable and developmental motives for expression of the existing intangible cultural properties. Concerning Korea's cultural properties centered on intangible cultural properties, information construction should be made with a new idea of information based on database from the previous studies. The result will be able to set an important factor to give wide publicity to our cultural identity, which is currently shown in the process of background communication, and serve as a foothold to deliver exact information to our descendants. The intangible cultural properties are our people's mental cultural heritage resources. If museums or initiator groups, which are organized to spread cultural heritages, can use them as the subjects of exhibition through information construction and visualization, it will function to maximize the educational effect of transmitting our national mental world. The development of digital environment will provide the optimum conditions and tools making it possible to visualize intangible forms and ideas in a virtual cyber space. Given these viewpoints, steady studies and efforts for the improvement of Korea's cultural image should be made in the way of intangible cultural properties as well as tangible ones. They start from the country's accurate appreciation of cultural properties and are embodied in systematic adjustment and relationship between interdependent elements.
