답리작 이탈리안 라이그라스의 생육도중 청예이용이 종자생산에 미치는 영향 (Studies on the Seed Production and Soiling Utilization of Italian Ryegrass on Paddy Field)

  • In order to find out optimum seed production date according to different defoliation and flooding period of Italian ryegrass, this studies with Tetrone were canied out on the experimental field of Honam Crop Experiment Station from 1986 to 1988. Treatments included cutting date of Nov. 20 and Apr. 10 and flooding period of 5-25 days. In soil after experiment, organic matter, phosphate and silicate content increased, but potassium content decreased 0.16% than that before experiment. Heading and maturing date of Nov. 20 cutting were same with those of non cutting, those of Apr. 10 cutting lates 6 days to heading date and 2 days to maturing date. Plant height and culm length of Nov. 20 cutting were sirniller to those of non cutting, those of Apr. 10 cutting were shorter and panicle length have no difference between non cutting and cutting. Lodging of cutting treatment was reduced than that of non cutting. Lodgin was increased as flooding period was long, also loding of all treatment occured at 30 days after heading. Two cutting times of Nov. 20 and Apr. 10 have the most fresh yield, while non cutting have the most dry matter yield. Optimun seed productin date was considered to suitable when 35 days after heading (Jun. 14), at this time, seed production was 1,640 to 2,640 kg/ha. Also if flooding j u r y have, seed production was good between 10 days and 15 days after flooding.

예취기시에 따른 참억새의 생육특성 , 성분함량 및 영양소수량의 변화 (Changes in the Growth , Chemical Composition and Nutritive Yield of Miscanthus sinensis at Different Cutting Dates)

  • This experiment was conducted to know what does the cutting date have an effect on the chemical composition and nutritive yield of Miscanthus sinensis, in order to determine the optimum cutting date of the plant when it is utilized as roughage. Miscanthus sinensis growing natively in the summit of Sam Ak mountain(550m above sea level) was cut at 10 days intervals from 25 July to 15 October, 1988. Plant length and dry matter contents were generally increased with delayed cutting date. Crude protein contents of the plant cut on 5, 15, and 25 of September were 5.5, 5.2 and 5.1%, respectively. Cmde fiber contents was similar with cutting treatment and averaged 35.6%. Cmde protein yield was higher in September than in other cutting date. Yield of crude fiber were 8.3, 9.3 and 9.3t/ha on 5, 15 and 25 September, respectively. Ratio of Cmde protein yield to Crude fiber yield on 5 September tended to be higher than on 15 September and 25 September. These results suggest that the optimum cutting date of the Miscanthus sinensis for good quality forage seems early September.

Tall fescue 품종의 환경적응성 III. 가을철 예취관리가 1번초의 개체중과 수량구성요소에 미치는 영향 (Environmental Adaptation of Tall Fescue varieties in Mauntainous pastures III. Effect of autumn cutting management on the dry weight of plant(DW) of the 1st cutting)

  • This experiments were carried out to estimate the optimum final cutting date in autumn and the selection of highly adaptable varieties in mountainous pastures of Taekwalyong area. The evaluations were based on the data of varietal differences of dry weight of plant(DW) and yield components of the 1st cutting as affected by various final cutting dates of last autumn. Nine varieties of tall fescue Barvetia, Fuego. Demeter, Safe. Barcel, Forager, Johnstone, Enforcer and Stef. were used and 4 final cutting date of autumn were $C_1$, cut on 30 Sept. $C_2$, on 14 Oct. $C_3$, on 28 Oct. and $C_4$. on 11 Nov.. respectively. The results obtained were as follows: I . Between the dry weight of plant(DM) and yield components of 1st cutting were different by various final cutting dates of autumn. The dry weight of plant(DW) was significantly positive correlated with heading characteristics of the 1st cutting in earlier cuttings($C_1- C_3$) of autumn, but there was not significant correlated with heading characteristics of the 1st cutting in the latest cutting($C_4$) of autumn. 2. The variety of Forager with heavier weight of heading tiller(HTW) and dry weight of tiller(WT) showed the highest dry weight of plant(DW) of the 1st cutting in earlier cuttings($C_1-C_3$) of autumn, whereas the variety of Barcel with high number of tillers per plant(NT) showed a high dry weight of plant(DW) of the 1st cutting in the latest cutting($C_4$) of autumn. 3. Optimum final cutting date and critical period of mountainous pastures in Taekwalyong area were estimated in late September($C_1$) and middle October($C_2$), sespectirety. 4. The dry weight of plant(DW) of the 1st cutting was significantly negative correlated with final cutting dates in growth period of autumn.

저장탄수화물과 질소의 월동성과 재생활력에 대한 이용성 III. 추파 유채 ( Brassica napus L. ) 의 예취기시가 월동중 저장유기물 함량 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (( Partitioning of Carbon and Nitrogen Reserves During Winter Adaptation and Spring Regrowth III. Effect of cutting date on the content of organic reserves on the wintering period and forage yeild in rape( Brassica napus L. ))

  • The objective of this study is to obtain the basic data for investigating the effects of organic reserves on winter survial or regrowth yield. Forage rape(Brassica napus L.) was sown on Sep. 1, 1994. Experimental plots were divided into three replicates under 6 different cutting dates(l0 days interval from Oct. 15 to Dec. 4). Field-grown palnts were sampled on the each cutting date and on the wintering period (Jan. 16) to analyze the nitrogen and non-structural cahohydrate reserves. The rate of winter survival and regrowth yield were also measured in the spring of next year. On the before wintering, dry matter yields were 152, 274, 500, 718, 776 and 981 kg/lOa, respectively, from the cutting date on Oct. 15, Oct. 25, Nov. 4, Nov. 14, Nov. 24, and Dec. 4. Cmde protein yield significantly increased as cutting date was later until Nov. 14, thereafter a significant increase did not occured. Nitrogen and starch contents per plant significnatly increased as the cutting date was later. The increasing rate of starch was greatly higher than that of nitrogen. On the wintering period, nitrogen reserves in mts were 85.3, 68.8, 47.6, 28.3, 44.3, and 55.3 mglplant, and starch reserve were 11 1.3, 75.3, 39.3, 19.6, 26.4 and 34.6 mglplant, respectively, in the plots cut on Oct. 15, Oct. 25, Nov. 4, Nov. 14, Nov. 24, and Dec. 4. It showed that carbohydrate reserves were much highly utilized than nitrogen reserves during wintering period. The rates of winter survival were 91, 83, 46, 22, 35 and 43% and regrowth yields were 692, 545, 316, 84, 127 and 140 kgD.M/lOa, respectively, in each plots. The highly significant correlation (p<0.01) between the level of organic reserves and the rate of winter survival or regrowth yield were obtained.

전주 마전유적 출토 목관재의 수종식별 및 연륜연대 분석 (Species Identification and Tree-Ring Dating of Coffin Woods Excavated at Ma-Jeon Relic in Jeonju, Korea)

  • 전주 마전 유적에서 출토된 회곽묘 1기에 사용된 목재의 수종 식별과 연륜연대 분석을 하였다. 수종 식별 결과, 관재는 모두 소나무속중 소나무류 (적송류)로 동정되었다. 7개의 관재로부터 총 24점의 관편에 대한 연륜연대 분석결과, 6개에 대한 연대를 부여할 수 있었다. 횡대에 쓰인 관재는 수피를 그대로 간직하고 있고 마지막 나이테가 만재까지 완전히 형성되어 있어 1637년 가을에서 1638년 봄 사이에 벌채된 목재로 관을 제작하였음을 알 수 있었다. 다만 벌채후 건조, 저장 기간으로 인하여 연륜연대와 관의 제작 및 매장 연도와는 다소 차이가 있을 수 있다.

  • The information with regard to the working rance of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition is managed as detabase system for turning operation. Date with regard to the working range of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition are stroed by the DBMS(Data Base Management System) and can be added, modified, deleted and retrieved. Data stored in database system are searched to select the most proper cutting tool and cutting condition with the input data fed from the design stage. The system developed in this work is operated by the pull down menu on the IBM PC/AT personal computer, or compatible series.

Dendrochronological Dating of Coffin Woods from Hoamdong, Chungju, Korea

  • The objective of this study was to date coffin woods of a grave of husband and wife, using the tree rings, which were excavated from Hoamdong, Chungju city in the central area of South Korea. The species of coffin woods was Japanese Red Pine (Pinus densiflora S. et Z.), one of the major conifers growing in Korea. The husband coffin was dated as A.D. 1628. Due to the absence of bark in the wife's coffin, the number of sapwood rings was estimated to obtain the cutting date. The cutting date of wife's one was estimated to be A.D. 1651${\pm}$10. The Jeogori Jacket for women, which was found in the husband coffin, indicates that the husband died earlier than the wife, as the tree-ring dates suggested.

양액 재배하에서 질소시비가 옥수수 ( Zea mays L. ) 생육에 미치는 영향

  • Tall fesuce 9 개 품종을 공시하여 가을철 예취시기를 달리했을 때 l 번초의 수량구성요소와 개체중에 미치는 영향을 조사하여 가을철 최종예취시기를 추정하고 이 지역의 환경조건에 적응성이 높은 품종 을 선발하려고 하였다. l. 가을철 예취시기에 따라서 l 번초의 개체중에 관여하는 수량구성요소의 차이가 인정되었는데 $C_1-C_3$의 l 번초 개체중은 출수관련형질들과 유의한 정상관이 인정되었으나 $C_4$의 1 번초 개체중에서는 유의한 상관이 인정되지 않았다. 2. $C_1C_3$에서는 출수경수가 많고 출수경중과 l 경중이 무거웠던 Forager의 개체중이 많았으나 $C_4$에서는 개체당 경수가 많았던 Barcel의 개체중이 많았다. 3. 대관령지역의 영년초지에서 가을철 최종예취시기의 한계는 $C_1$시기 (9월 30일) 로 추정되었으며 최종 예취시기의 위험기는 $C_2$시기 (10월 14일)의 전후로 추정되었다. 4. 1번초의 개체중은 가을철 예취시기와 유의한 부(負)의 상관을 나타내었다.

돌나물의 가을 삽목번식에 미치는 삽목용토 및 시기의 영향 (Effects of Cutting Date and Bedsoil on Root and Shoot Growth in Autumn Cutting of Sedum sarmentosum)

  • 돌나물의 가을 삽목번식을 위한 적정 삽목용토와 삽목시기를 조사하기 위하여, 농가에서 손쉽게 구할 수 있는 밭흙, 강모래와 훈탄을 혼합한 삽목용토의 효과를 조사하였다. 밭흙과 모래를 1:1 또는 2:1(v/v)로 혼합하여 사용하는 것이 활착, 지상부 생육 및 뿌리발달이 양호하여 경제적이었다. 선발된 삽목용토(밭흙:모래=2:1) 를 이용하여 $10{\sim}5cm$ 간격으로 가을 노지삽목을 실시한 결과, 9월 초중순에 하는 것이 뿌리 및 지상부 생육이 양호하고, 월동전 충분한 rosette를 확보 할 수 있어 안정적이었다. 따라서 가을 노지삽목 한계기는 9월 20일로서, 삽목시기가 늦을 경우, 이듬해 봄철 적정 수량을 확보를 위하여 삽수의 수량을 25-30% 늘려 밀식재배하는 것이 바람직하다.

Mass Propagation of Plug Seedling using Stem Cutting and Their Tuber Yield in Potato

  • For the mass production of plug seedlings in cultivar ‘Dejima’ potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) the optimal apical cutting diameter for rooting and rapid multiplication of stem cuttings in hydroponics were determined. In addition, the best planting date was predicted to increase tuber yield of plug seedlings at fall cropping in Cheju-Do, Korea. Days to initial rooting decreased as the cutting diameter was reduced. Plant height, leaf number, root length and root weight per plant were favorable as the cutting diameter was small. The ideal cutting diameter was 1-2 mm in this experiment. In the hydroponic cultures, the Japanese standard (JS) nutrient solution was the most effective for multiplication of stem cuttings. It was able to propagate more than 20 times a month from a single mother plant. Viability of plants, which were derived from plug seedlings using stem cuttings, was excellent when transplanted to the field. The number of tubers and tuber yield in both of the plug seedlings and seed potato planting plots were high when planted on 25 August. The number and yield were reduced when planted on 15 August, 5 September and 15 September. The degree of decrease of tuber yield in the plug seedling planting plot however, was lower than that of seed potatoes when the planting date was late. In the case of small tubers (under 30 g), the number of tubers and tuber yield were evidently increased in the seed potato tuber planting plot; the yield of large tuber (over 80g) in the plug seedling planting plot was higher than that of the seed potato. The total tuber yield per plant in the plug seedling planting plot was less than that of the seed potato; therefore, in order to increase tuber yield it was necessary to increase field plant density.
