  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate adherence to the clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) and influencing factors on the adherence following a customized intensive education program (CIEP). Methods: This work is a retrospective descriptive study. The subjects were 226 emptying failure patients who learned in a CIEP from January 2012 to July 2014. The program developed in 2011 and consisted of 1) customized theoretical education; based on the results of urologic tests, underlying disease, or surgery of the patients, 2) hands-on practice until the trainees were able to master the techniques, 3) questions about the process of catheterization and what he/she needs to know. 4) at follow-up, the survey about adherence and barrier to CIC. Clinical characteristics; the level of satisfaction, understanding, and self-confidence; the barrier in medical records were reviewed. Results: The short-term adherence rate (median 22 days) is 87.6% and the long-term adherence rate (median 112 days) is 50.4%. The biggest obstacle is time management. The levels of satisfaction, understanding, and self-confidence are very high. The variable of Income is the only factor that has influence on adherence. Conclusion: Despite the CIEP, the adherence rate is relatively low. In addition to the education, emotional and psychological supports and regular follow-up are needed to improve long-term adherence.

  • With recent advancement in informational sciences, educational systems are undergoing a revolutionary facelift on how students attain their education. These developments have diminished the traditional method of teaching and learning and have improved the overall quality of the educational environment. They have also ignited the birth of cyber-education in which students have the flexibility and responsibility on what and when to study, thus providing a greater freedom to control one's education. Cyber-educational environment not only requires physical hardware but also an organizational structural component and most importantly, a software component that drives and gives the student management power to tailor their studies based upon their educational requirements. Due to the fact that individuals learn and develop at different rates, one of the important features of a cyber-educational program will be its ability to adjust and customized to individual needs and requirements. In this thesis, a novel software which encompasses these ideas was designed and developed. This program allows the individual more flexibility and management of courses based on their ability and needs. Because the software customizes to one's ability and it allows the student to advance at a more comfortable pace, it boosts the student's confidence and desire to learn. In the future, new and improved programs similar to the one developed here will further enhance the cyber-educational environment and will undoubtedly improve the overall quality of student's education.

  • ICT capacity building education in developing countries with poor infrastructure is a solution to help solve ICT gaps and improve economic performance. However, there is a clear difference between countries' geographical and industrial level in terms of geographical and industrial aspects. Therefore, it is necessary to design customized educational contents for each country according to the status of various industries in each country rather than uniform and unilateral ICT capacity building education. This should be followed by a basic understanding of the current situation. The purpose of this study is to identify the level of ICT technology and curricula for female students at Life University of Cambodia among developing countries, and to find out the subjects related to industry in that region and to propose policies for continuous operation.

The participants, a total of 129 NKDs, were allocated to the experimental group (n=64; 43 females and 21 males) or the control group (n=65; 46 females and 19 males). After the interventions, phases 7 to 9 of the PRECEDE-PROCEED model were executed to determine the effect of the program. Results: The results for phase 7 revealed high satisfaction with the program, with an average of 2.89 out of 3 points. In phase 8, concerning the impact evaluation, it was found that oral health beliefs and oral health knowledge were improved, with statistically significance differences before and after the experiment. Method: Subjects included 767 clients registered with the customized home visiting health services in Daegu. Data collection was performed from June 3 to July 30, 2011. Descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$ test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression were used in this study. Results: The mean score for total empowerment was 3.01(${\pm}0.28$). In subscales of total empowerment, the score for individual empowerment was 2.97(${\pm}0.36$), the score for interpersonal relationship empowerment was 3.09(${\pm}0.34$), and the score for political-social empowerment was 2.96(${\pm}0.48$). Individual empowerment, interpersonal relationship empowerment, and political-social empowerment can be explained by education, job, economic status, and living arrangement. Conclusion: An empowerment intervention that includes general characteristics of clients is essential to improving empowerment of customized home visiting health care services beneficiaries.

  • This study developed Bucheon customized children meal hygiene central control point (CCP) to promote practical hygiene and safety management in a children meal supply organization in Bucheon. Education was administered to 54 organizations using the developed CCP, and the study evaluated kitchen hygiene management improvement effects. When the effects of hygiene education in eight categories (CCP 1~8) were examined, total scores increased by 9.31 from $22.36{\pm}5.039$ before education to $31.67{\pm}3.262$ with a statistically significant difference (p<0.001). After CCP education, personal hygiene management, food material management, cooking management, serving management, facility and equipment management improved significantly. The result demonstrates that CCP education was effective for kitchen hygiene management. Using CCP education, overall CCP education items were significantly improved, but there was almost no significant increase in the non-relevant item of CCP education. As there was an average difference in the non-relevant item of CCP education after follow-up evaluation, CCP education had an overall effect on hygiene and safety improvement. Based on the above result, the effect could be potentiated if CCP is complemented, if a systematic hygiene management manual is developed for the nationwide children meal supply organization, and if CCP education media is continually developed along with education.
